Outstanding Customer Service. They Really Care!
I recently purchased a TV stand from Plow & Hearth, and while the item arrived with damage to both the shipping box and the product itself (from shipping damage), I couldn't be more impressed with how the company handled the situation. I called their customer service the very next day, and they resolved the entire issue that same day - no hassle, no runaround, just prompt and professional service.
It's rare to find a company that stands behind their products so completely and makes things right so quickly. The two representatives I interacted with were courteous, understanding, and genuinely seemed to care about making sure I was satisfied.
Beyond the exceptional customer service, I've also found that Plow & Hearth's prices are very competitive, they often beat their competitors on the same products (and hence the reason I made purchase there).
Based on my shopping experience, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Plow & Hearth to anyone looking for quality home furnishings backed by a company that truly values its customers.
They've earned a loyal customer in me, and I'll definitely be shopping with them again in the future!
Horrible customer service
We ordered an outdoor fire pit and fireplace tool set. The fire pit came on time as advertised, but the tool set was delayed. There was no communication. The new date that they gave us came and went without any messages. I had to call to learn that it would be another two months. Never using plowing hearth again.
No customer service , order not received
I ordered a “nuts of the month “ as a Christmas gift on 11/12. Here it is 12/30, and not only has the gift not shipped , I have called customer service multiple times with no good answer . Furthermore , today December 30 , phone calls do not go through (fast busy signal ). I am very disappointed and would not recommend .
Over a cliff
Plow and Hearth product quality and customer service have dropped off a cliff. Have been satisfied customers for many years. After our experience this shopping season, we’re done. Product was poor construction, poor packaging and poor quality. Trying to get a return authorization and ultimate refund were a career endeavor. Still waiting for refund after return weeks ago.
BAD Customer Service
I orderd 5 throw pillows, The first box came with 4 pillows ( the box was big enough to hold 6 pillows. I called Plow & Hearth MONDAY who told me the 5th pillow would arrive sometime between Wednesday and Saturday. I told them to Cancel it, they said the couldn't cancel it and I could return it when I received it.
Fed. Ex dropped the box at my door wihout my knowledge today - or I would have refused delivery. I called Plow and Hearth who wanted me to pay $6.95 for Me to Print a Return label!!! There was no mention of this during the order. process. I'm Furious- what nonsense.
BUYER BEWARE : VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

As a long time customer, I will never order again from them. And recomend others do not either. I ordered two 6 month subscriptions for their bulb gardens as xmas gifts for my wife and daughter for $284 each. They claimed only 1 charge went thru. Yet they continues to ship both monthly. Then 4/16 I get a e-mail request for payment of $284. Which I promptly paid via their "pay now" button. Checking my VISA account, I found their charge of $284.37, so they obviously received payment. Now they say they have no record of payment and insist I prove I did pay. They obviously posted payment to some other customer account or lost it in their system. They should be able to find it in their e-mail system since that's how I submitted payment. BUT NO, they expect me to prove I paid. They are insistent and rude. And obviously their financial system is unreliable.

I ordered for the first time and it will ne the last. I bought the bunny in a basket as a gift. After the price plus shipping was $23+ dollars. When I arrived home saw the package and after opening it discovered it was broken. It was shipped Fed Ex so not sure who is responsible but I blame Plow and Hearth because they shipped it and it wasn't packed adequately for shipment. There was "No Handle With Care" or "Fragile" labels on the box that contained a glass item..not properly wrapped and in a box twice the size of the item so it rolled around in the box. I did call customer service and although I am getting a full refund , it was still very disappointing!

Great customer service
Great customer service. I recently purchased a musical Christmas bear. Unfortunately during shipping, the box was crushed and the bear was damaged. I reported the issue to Plow and Hearth customer service and have received full refund.
Rust and Scratches right out the box
The company is a joke. They don't warranty there own product. Was told sorry you didn't but it directly from us.
2 fireplace screens arrived with rust and scratches new out of the box. $700- worth of product and they don't care.

I won’t shop there again
I used to love this site. Something is different. I got a nasty customer service person a few months ago and blew it off. This time agent was disputing a price on curtains that I was reading out of a catalog. I got the price stated and then was going to charge me$41 for shipping on 8 small panels of sheers. That’s not right!! I canceled the order and vowed to never shop there again.
Plow and Hearth is the absolute worst…
Plow and Hearth is the absolute worst company that I have ever ordered products from. If I had known that Wind and Weather was affiliated with them I would never have placed my order, which I did in May. The product was on backorder until September and I just received an email today from Plow and Hearth taking another delay. Let me tell you about my first experience, the product was an outdoor fairy cottage that arrived in pieces due to poor packing. The second experience was a garden sign with one stake. I tried for months to get them to send a second stake but it could not be done. Each time I got a refund, but what I really wanted was the product I ordered in the condition that I could use. I have zero confidence that this ceramic fish will arrive in one piece.

Purchased Birdhouse with Post Assembly
Purchased Birdhouse with Post Assembly. Post assm is short 5' and prepared as a Kit in multiple pcs. This Kit is junk or worse, it is a "Toy"; includes little tiny screws to hold the top spindle to the bottom spindle, cross-balance slats, an auger and a mtg plate. Terrible design--Toys may be more durable!. The spindles broke apart 5-seconds into installation.

I ordered a gift for mom’s 85th birthday. It arrived in boxes that were extremely damaged. I contacted the company and their solution was to ship a new one and send a label for my mom to ship back. How does an 85 year old box up a smashed table that should have never been left for her to deal with. Final resolution because they had no empathy was a refund and we were left to deal with the broken items that are too big for her to handle.

If I could give a 0 star review I certainly would. I made a purchase in early 2023; returned the item according to Plow and Hearth's instructions; received confirmation they received the returned items and I still haven't received my refund. I've called multiple times and they suddenly now say I must get my money back from Walmart (it was a 3rd party purchase). Walmart wouldn't take the item back; I had to return directly to Plow & Hearth. I've called several times and was told I would get my refund anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 days. Now they are saying I have to go through Walmart.
Christmas bulb garden…a dud!
I purchased a Christmas bulb garden from this company. It arrived late November, not a problem I thought as it shipped promptly. I have ordered several things in the past so not a new company for me. Now weeks later, I have had only two scraggly flowers, and not much sign of getting more. It was not cheap! I have tried to find a way to at least give it a bad review but their site doesn’t seem to allow that. I just want to warn people not to buy this type of thing from them.
