Not worth the stress to use

I would recommend using an in person exam proctor if your able to instead of this company. I had done the system pre checks the day before and before the proctor even was to begin and all was working 100%. I was writing my Caib 3 exam which I had been studying and was very prepared for, I also must say I do have some test anxiety but thats often normal and I passed my Caib 2 exam with flying colors (using an in person proctor, and not one issue)
My first proctor was to put it mildly an idiot, first she can't see my photo ID yet I can't tell what she's seeing and she is slow to type in chat letting me know what she requires, then she takes control of my computer which is fine I gave permission and turns off half of the operating network for the company I work for, which causes me to lose my camera and slow my connection. None of the network icons she muddled with had anything to do with the test or any way to cheat btw...so it's now 30 mins past when I was to begin and my anxiety started to skyrocket as I want to start my exam now not hours from now. I almost walked out I was so frustrated. She then says your camera isn't working and your system is too slow, I replied it worked just fine during the tests I ran and she basically transferred me to their tech department. I told the technician that the proctor was closing system settings and he got it up and running in a matter of moments (the only good thing that happened)
Get a new proctor and have to go through the whole room scan and show ID again but this proctor isn't an idiot and I get to my exam.
The problem was by this time I'm so stressed about the mess of a process that I did everything to prepare for that I'm bordering on a panic attack and can barely focus so not sure if I passed or not, I told my manager that I would not re write with this company again, and she is going to let our learning and development team know as well since my coworker had an even worse experience with them...took 6 hours to get her exam going!

Waste of Money,Time

Proctor U is a horrible, unprofessional way to test. Not only do you have to show and share your personal information with 1 Proctor, but about 5 or 10. It is ridiculous. They do not have a manager that "entertains" phone calls and to top it off...you pay for their inexperience. Everything is recorded, yet no one can tell you what happened. It took 2 hours to start a test, they submitted before complete. I will never waste another penny with them. They have a 1.3 rating. Why would a Credible University use these people.

Zero stars if I could

Zero stars if I could. ProctorU is a broken platform whose chat doesn’t work, help pages are all so outdated that they are slated for deletion, and customer service can barely speak English.

The absolute worst proctoring service

The absolute worst proctoring service. They are a massive privacy violation, and their software sucks. I have to spend HOURS just trying to access a 20 minute quiz.

Their tech support is absolutely useless as well. They give you the same suggestions over and over again, and they apparently aren't well-versed enough to realize that suggestions such as resetting the cache cause the user to be logged out, which forces the user to log back in and start a whole new support session.

Don't bother emailing management, either. They literally told me "don't email me". Customer service at this organization is awful.

Nothing, not a single, solitary thing is redeeming about this company. If I could give zero stars, I would. Did i mention how terrible and useless this company is?

In conclusion, Proctor U is terrible. Literally any other alternative is better than this company. It is, frankly, a miracle they are still in business while providing such a subpar, non-functional service.

ProctorU has a horrible reputation and…

ProctorU has a horrible reputation and today I learned why. I am a disabled student with accommodations previously filed for all of my exams. When you have accommodations, the exam itself lists that it is an ADA accommodated test. Unfortunately this was not enough for my assigned proctor who refused to agree to the listed accommodations.

The first hour of my testing time was spent trying to convince the proctor to accept the listed ADA accommodations. My request was to drink water and take my medication. I believe that is a reasonable request as I had not yet started the exam. After a lot of back and forth, I was finally allowed to take my medication without risk of my exam being shut down.

Five hours into the exam, the exam closes completely and I get pop ups for a "survey". The proctor had just logged off and shut down my exam with no warning, completely destroying hours of work. I immediately contacted their live chat and was connected to tech support who remotely re-downloaded applications that were already running, before quitting guardian browser for me, then restarting my computer. At no point did they try to help me reconnect to my exam. Instead, I was told to reschedule and do this all over again. I called the phone line and was told the exact same thing.

I'm very upset. University is difficult enough without having to manage disabilities on top of it. For me to put in all this effort, pay for this exam, and have this company ruin my hours of work is truly inexcusable. The extent of their tech support and customer service is "Oh well". They truly deserve 0 stars. And I suggesting being skeptical of any university using such a horrible service.

Just had my exam terminated said I was…

Just had my exam terminated said I was looking off screen which I wasn’t. police patil santhosh was the proctor. I have a dell desktop which he full viewed my screen My questions were all the way on the left side of my screen and the “next” button is all the way on the right side of my screen I showed them my work area and walls two times. My phone was behind me like 4 feet away faced down and I showed them that also. I’m not sure but I’m kind of feeling like it was something else to this and I asked for an investigation to be opened

Horrible Software

If I could use negative stats I would. Long story short, if your institution uses them to proctor exams remotely, just save your time and request to take your exam in person. It doesn’t matter how good of a WiFi connection you have at home, you will have nothing but complications. As convenient as it may be to take an exam at home, you will run into so many issues and there’s a chance you may not even get a chance to take your exam. I’m currently typing this as I am experiencing my third interruption during my entrance exam for nursing school. Just save your time and take the exam at a location instead of remotely!

I tried to take the Kaplan Nursing…

I tried to take the Kaplan Nursing entrance exam and I had so many problems. There was so many things that I had to try to fix. When I called them I couldn’t understand the guy trying to help me. Their “support chat” people were also no help and kept disconnecting from the chat. I was excited to try to get into this nursing program and this ridiculous website screwed everything up.

Strait up garbage company and product

Strait up garbage company and product. How can you have little to no respect for yourself? There are a million issues I had with trying to do an exam. New guardian browser doesn't recognize camera, microphone or speakers. Can't just use chrome (maybe because your browser extension is considered spyware by google of all people). Support made me download a "log in helper" which took control of my computer without a warning. This is literally scam behavior. If any college or company tries to use this platform, you don't care about the test taker. Horrendous waste of time.

I wish there was an option to not give…

I wish there was an option to not give a star, this site is a waste of time, I got so angry and frustrated that if I was able to do the exam I would have failed, tried 3 times to take exam and had been transferred so many times and still was not able to do the exam, there must be a way to report them. This is a waste of time and money 😡😡

I am very disappointed in my experience…

I am very disappointed in my experience today that left me so frustrated that I was in tears. It is not enough that taking an exam is stressful but that I had such an awful start and absolute lack of empathy is unforgivable. I was connected to a proctor 3 times and it took an hour to sort out what was going on. It seems that if you have team viewer on your laptop you are unable to proceed. Instead of walking through this with me, the first proctor disconnected with very little information prior, second transferred me to support who told me to re-boot my computer and I would be able to reconnect with them after - nope - I logged back in and they were gone, third Proctor - Mercy - was finally able to get me to uninstall the software and see it on her end (even though I had already done it with the previous proctor, and she was the least understanding proctor I have dealt with so far. I explained that I had gone through an hour of troubleshooting to write my exam and how frustrated I was and she barely responded. You could try to be more reasonable and train your proctors to have some amount of empathy if this is a service that you wish me to re-use or promote. I would highly suggest that you find some staff that can be reasonable, efficient in describing issues and helpful when someone is already in a high stress situation. Its a nightmare dealing with your service and this is not the first negative experience I have had with Proctor U, please do better, and train your staff.

Horrible experience -waste of money

Horrible experience. I signed into take my TSIA2 exam and the proctor was late and it took about 10-15 minutes to do all the bs room scans and check my id . I lost connection 3x and they just redirected me to more useless proctors. I payed $40 to do this exam i studied . The measures they go through to see if you're cheating is ridiculous.

Proctor may ruins my day everyday

Proctor may ruins my day everyday. I’ve probably taken 10 exams total but have completed over 100 prechecks because the technical problems are insane. I have to call support and talk to technicians no less than 3 times EVERYTIME i take an exam. Thank you for being the absolute worst.

The worst proctoring service available

The worst proctoring service available! You'll spend upwards of two hours just trying to connect to take your test. At first I thought it was my laptop. So I tried another. Same issue. The third laptop passed equipment tests but I couldn't connect to a proctor to get my password to take the test. So guess what happened? Yep! Test was canceled. Remember, I fail this class if I don't take the test! I wish I could say this was an isolated incident but it isn't. It happened with the first test I had to take through them as well.

Absolutely terrible company

Absolutely terrible company. Did not allow me to take the North Carolina Real Estate Exam, even though I followed all the rules per NC REC. Proctor U said my calculator was illegal. However, I am very familiar with NC REC rules and it is indeed legal.

Waited over 90min in the pre exam room for the issue to get resolved before I could take the exam.

Definitely not what I want to be doing before taking a 3 hour exam. The fact that they don't know the actual rules is just terrible.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience! I had an exam scheduled for 9am and took over 3 hours to finally connect to my exam. Whilst the techincal support personal were helpful the connection issues were extremely frustrating and the worst exam preparation imaginable!
