Fantastic company

Fantastic company, dealt with my claim from start to finish, they took away all the stress and were extremely professional, polite and very responsive to my emails/ telephone calls, Nicholas day handled my claim and he was amazing, I have and would recommend to friends and family

Thank you PLA, from my insurance company.

I called PLA and spoke to Michael Williamson after my claim was declined by my insurers. He attended my home, helped me understand what caused the damage and confirmed my insurers was in deed correct to say no to my claim. Whilst it wasn't the best outcome and a hard pill to swallow Michael was the first person who fully explained the situation to me, i was ready to leave my insurer but he pointed out my policy was in fact the right policy for me and no insurer would pay out in this situation. The service was completely free and no hard sales tactics in fact quite the opposite, the real beneficiaries were my insurers because i didn't cancel my policy. Thank you PLA so much and especially Michael Williamson for your time and professionalism from myself and more importantly from my own insurance company as you saved them my business. not that they know it.

Flooding in November 2019

Thank you to both Andrew and Emma for their understanding and patience during this upsetting time.
We are really grateful for their help in getting us back into our home during August 2020.
It was a very stressful time and did take a toll on our health, without them we wouldn't have managed to get through all the paper work and negotiations with the insurance company.
Everything was carried out with the greatest effieciency and understanding of our claim.

Water damage to kitchen and bathroom.

Returned from holiday to discover water cascading through the kitchen ceiling due to a leak from the wall hung toilet above. Severe water damage to both kitchen and bathroom necessitating ripping out the bathroom and kitchen. Insurance assessor offered an unacceptable amount. Contacted PLA (Lancashire) who negotiated an amount three and a half times the amount offered which allowed me to repair the damage. The benefit of using PLA was not just financial. They dealt with the administrative tasks and took 'the hassle' out of liaising with the insurers. Their approach (from both loss adjuster and secretary) was customer focussed and professional. I was made to feel valued; was included in their communication with the insurers and received the right outcome.

Our insurance company were unwilling to pay for the water damage to our property. After 9 months of haggling and with them doing everything possible to avoid responsibility, my husband contacted Public Loss Adjusters(Scotland). Instantly they gave us a great sense of relief and managed the case very professionally and we’re very supportive. Our property was refurbished to a high standard and we couldn’t be more delighted.

FLOODING CLAIM

A massive thank you to PLA for their help when dealing with our insurers and their loss adjusters following flood damage to our property in November 2019. Had we accepted the original offer we would have been massively out of pocket however PLA made sure that our claim was settled at a realistic level and they acted absolutely professionally throughout. Without hesitation, I would recommend this company.

Roof Leak

A big thank you to Michael and Emma for all their work on my parent’s roof leak issue. It was good knowing they were there for us every step of the way, whether it be an email or phone call the information flowed freely to keep all parties involved up-to-date. They understood the frustrations that come with such a life hurdle and treated it as if it were their own family that was going through it. If you need help we highly recommend them.

House Fire

My House had a localised fire in the Kitchen. Thanks to Gary Rogers from PLA took care of all the dealings with the insurance company in a very efficient manner. It took more time then expected but he got me a good deal at the end. I'm very happy with the service I've received from Gary and PLA.

we were flooded november 2019 are insurance tried not to pay out much so andrew price sorted out for us it took time and its toll on our health but got there in the end no way could we have sorted this out without PLA thank you for everthing

Saves a lot of stress and time

I was a little wary of using a loss adjuster that I'd found on the web (especially with all the initialisms after people's names which screams dodgy) but everything turned out well. I was phoned back very quickly after my initial written contact with the company by Michael Williamson. Mine was a landlord claim against a leaking pipe and subsequent flooding. As it was a little complicated, Michael came out to see the house and arranged for an assessment company to look at the damage also. I was happy with the successful claim and also with the 10% fee that was taken.

House Fire

Due to a house fire, we had to move out of our bungalow, which as you can imagine was quite traumatic. But this experience was made a lot easier and more bearable thank you to a great team of people. We used Public Loss Adjusters which made the experience so much easier to deal with. So I would like to thank Simon Colburn and Gary Rogers for all their help. They were always there to answer any questions we had and as go betweens, between us and the insurance company there were excellent. Our buidling contractor was Mick Dennis of MPD Contracts, his team were wonderful, at no time was there any problem with their attendance at our property and the standard of work is first class, We were consulted at every stage. The end result is outstanding. So a great big thank you to
all you lovely people.

House fire.

Big thank you to. Barry Philip ,Micheal Williamson and Emma Pearce. ,I would never have got through the last 15 months with out there hard work and dedication with my insurance claim after. A total loss fire.
I can't recommend them enough they were my light at the end of a very dark tunnel.

I would like to recommend PLA to help…

I would like to recommend PLA to help deal with your insurance claim. Michael Williamson came to my rescue after my claim had dragged on for ages and had become very complicated, due to my being ill-advised in the early stages. I eventually accepted a financial settlement and Michael wavered his fee informing me that in my case it had all taken far longer than normal and he would be loath to under the circumstances

Thank you Tony Mulligan!

Tony Mulligan, the director of Public Loss Adjusters is a personal friend who visits me for fishing trips. I had a legal problem that Tony helped me with recently. He looked at my insurance policies, advised I was covered, and helped me with the emails to the insurer. With Tonys help, not only did the insurance company help settle the legal issue, we also received all the money we had spent on solicitors for this case. Tony saved us 10s of thousands of dollars. He knows the insurance system backwards, as do all his staff. I could not recommend Tony and his team more highly, and can't thank him enough for all his help!

I had help from public loss adjustors…

I had help from public loss adjustors about 4 months into a claim after a house fire on which all my house was affected by smoke damage and was uninhabitable. I was being completely messed around by the insurance company who were a total nightmare to deal with. I was completely stressed and felt very vulnerable as a single parent trying to deal with everything on my own, Sedgwick and direct group, the loss adjustors appointed by the insurance company couldn't have cared less and gave conflicting information, would not reply to me and refused to repair or replace lots of damaged parts of the house and contents. I literally felt I was fighting for every penny but getting nowhere. It was degrading and traumatic in the aftermath of the fire. Michael Williamson from public loss adjustors attended a couple of meetings with the insurance company and was absolutely excellent at fighting my corner to make sure I got the right settlement to repair my house and replace contents. For example after months of struggling on my own and getting quotes etc I was made an offer by the insurance company to repair my house but it was nowhere near enough, but with help from pla who reassessed the claim themselves and negotiated with the insurance company, I received nearly 3 times the original offer which was what was actually needed.
The only reason I have not given a 5 star review is that certainly to start off with, the communican with pla was not great. I was not sure who I was supposed to contact, did not get any updates and had to chase. As you can imagine by this point I was already very worried and did start to panic that I had made a mistake signing up with pla.
However this improved when Michael was appointed to deal with my claim and overall I am certain I would never have got things settled fairly on my own. It was a relief to have someone experienced and knowledgeable on my side. In addition to the meetings, Michael made lots of calls, sent lots of emails and submitted several complaints when necessary to try to resolve things. He did put a lot of work into it and I feel the commission was well earned (pla charge 10%). In my case it was much better to pay commission on a fair settlement than to accept the woeful offer from the insurance company.
It took 16 months all in all so not a quick process. If you are unfortunate enough to have a fire, be prepared that it will take a lot longer than you may think to settle. Insurers seem to try to delay as much as possible to wear you down so you will accept a payout which is less than you need out of desperation. I would like to think not every person has such a bad experience making a claim but unfortunately it does seem to be quite common.

I cannot thank Andy enough for handling our recent insurance claim after a burst kitchen pipe flooded our kitchen
He took control and dealt with every aspect of our claim with our insuers. He was present at the house when the insurers sent there inspectors out to view the damage.
He made every aspect of the case stress free for myself and his knowledge was super.

Storm flood

I cannot thank Michael Williamson enough for handling our recent insurance claim after being flooded with storm water.
He took over and dealt with every aspect of our claim with our insuers.
He made a very stressful experience a lot easier to deal with and our claim was settled within a month.

I can’t recommend Michael Williamson highly enough

I can’t recommend Michael Williamson PLA enough. Initially, I was sceptical about using a firm of loss adjusters to help with my claim, due to the amount of scams around atm . My concerns were absolutely unfounded and it was the best decision I have ever made .
After 3 months of what felt like hell being at “war” with my insurance company. I was extremely stressed and pulling my hair out and feeling like I was getting nowhere.
Thankfully, was lucky enough to be put in contact with Michael Williamson and I haven’t looked back. He is extremely kind, competent, experienced and knowledgeable in his field. His previous experience in the insurance industry has served him well to help people like you and me. Michael has been amazingly supportive, he has taken the stress out of my claim and the situation we found ourselves in . If you need anyone in your corner to address an insurance claim it’s Mike. .
Myself and my husband genuinely can’t thank Mike and the team enough for their help and support 🙏. Highly recommended

Great service and outcome

After a plumbing leak under my floor I was finding negotiations with my insurance company rather daunting. After contacting Michael Williamson at PLA the pressure was lifted. He was patience and charming but most of all very knowledgeable. His long experience in the industry was such an asset which allowed him to pursue my claim down to the last detail.
His persistence and patience were immeasurable and led to a good settlement. Thank you Michael.
