Never will I use this company

Never will I use this company, I am being bombarded with calls and the knocking of my door, hounding people and just coming across as desperate scratching for business. I have given my answer and they still keep on and on, awful experience

Thankyou PLA!

After months and months of getting nowhere with my insurance, Michael from PLA helped me with my claim and I cannot be more grateful. Without him I feel I would still have a huge battle on my hands! Thankyou for all you did to help me, I truly am grateful.

I contacted PLA following a water leak in my bathroom. We had no working toilet upstairs, which was a nightmare having three young kids. The tiled floors and walls were damaged and the ceiling below collapsed! Andrew Price was highly recommend to me by a friend. He dealt with everything and even managed to arrange for the contractor to get a temporary toilet in before Christmas. The insurer initially applied the wrong excess and after Andrew checked our policy it was reduced by £500 when he spoke to our Insurer. If you have a serious claim get this guy on your side! The office staff (Emma) was great as well when I needed to speck to her.

Great service and advice from barry…

Great service and advice from barry phelps and associates could not have fought against insurance company without them never gave up after 11 months and 3 site visits to my house Liverpool Victoria finally agreed to pay out wold highly recomend

I cannot image how we could have coped without PLA

I cannot image how we could have coped without the support and professionalism of PLA after our devastating fire which caused unimaginable damage to our home. Simon and is team took over and sorted everything at a time when it was impossible to think straight. Special thanks go to john Wood, who my family call John ‘Angel’. He descended on us from above to take over all that was needed to be done and arranged everything at a time when we felt our world had just ended. We would also like to commend the people that restored our house back to being a family home again with special thanks to Mark Pursey and his team. Mark managed and organised the complete reinstatement with workmanship to the highest level. A great person and team to work with, thank you.

Simon Colburn was a true professional

Simon Colburn was a true professional, he worked tirelessly to safeguard the interest of my mother's claim. Simon was relentless to provide the best outcome for her, in what had become a very stressful, frustrating and unhelpful situation caused primarily by the insurers, Direct Line Group and their appointed loss adjustors Sedgwick (also Cunningham Lindsey) . Simon was not phased by the unwarranted, unjustified and wasteful delays, consistently demonstrated by the insurers and Sedgwick and dealt with all matters with 100% effort and determination. Simon deserves full acknowledgement and a standing ovation for his determination, courteous and caring manner. My family and myself included, have utmost respect and admiration for him and would recommend his appointment or services to anyone.

PUBLIC LOSS ADJUSTERS ARE SUPERB!!!

Just over a year ago a fire in my brother's bungalow caused extensive damage throughout, my brother was in hospital and not able to deal with the situation and I found myself having to deal with the insurance company's loss adjusters.
To be fair, to start with, their first representative was very helpful and gave me the impression that everything would be dealt quickly and efficiently, but then he went on holiday and I never saw him again!
From then on it felt as if I was banging my head against a very thick brick wall until a friend suggested that I contact Simon Colburn at Public Loss Adjusters.
Simon is like a dog with a bone, he just does not let go of a problem until he gets the answer that he wants and more!.
He appointed an excellent company to carry out the renovation work and he was so very helpful right up to the work being completed.
I cannot thank Simon enough and recommend him and his company to anyone who his being shoved around and trodden on by an insurance company and their loss adjuster.

Thank you Public Loss Adjusters Ltd!

I can't recommend Public Loss Adjusters Ltd (PLA) highly enough to you.
They know the insurance industry inside out and will fight your corner for you when you are on the back foot.
Our insurance company offered us such a low offer on our fire damaged contents that we were shocked, I also didn't have the stomach for fighting over the details as we had lost a close family member in the fire as well. It was then that I found PLA who took on our case, and more and than doubled that offer without us having to go through all the stress and grief of revisiting the inventory process for the contents claim. They earned every penny of their fee and we are very satisfied with the settlement that we received. Had I known at the time of the fire that PLA would have not only fought our contents claim for a fee, but they could have handled the entire rebuild of the property for us for "FREE!" I would have employed them from the start of the claim and the last two years would have been a great deal less stressful for me and my family.
My special thanks to Barry Philp, John Waddell and Michael Williamson of PLA for all their efforts on our behalf.

MAIDSTONE - Public Loss Adjuster

Dear Simon, Gary,Laszlo

We would like to thank you for your all time that you put in to help us with our insurance claim and restore our home to working condition.

Our house was flooded in May 2018 due to terrible weather. Flood water reached a depth of 40 cm throughout our home. He damaged all the walls, furniture and floors on the ground floor.

We were treated disgracefully by our insurance company. We are absolutely sure that without the help of PLA we would not have reached an agreement with insurers. Until PLA were appointed, the Davies Group claims adjuster for Modus Underwriting Limited insurers was delaying claims.

In particular, we would like to thank Laszlo from the NYC Experience and his team for their hard work. They took care of the entire renovation, and at the end of December the renovation was almost completed. Only the kitchen remained. The boys did not want to leave us without a kitchen at Christmas, so they also worked on Sunday, seven days a week. They also arrived on Christmas Eve to make sure everything was finished. An amazing team, always smiling and full of humor. Work done wonderfully, with the utmost care and cleanliness. Thank you with all heart.

Excellent service.....

Well what can I realy say...buying my first property I thought it would be a great finally something to offer my children....then woke up one morning to my downstairs being totally flooded...this happened in march this year...being past around by my insurers for months living in one room with six children became very distressing then a friend introduced me to Micheal Williamson he as been my rock through it all keeping me updated of everything...listening to me breaking down on the phone not only a excellent lose adjuster but to me know a very good friend...I would recommend him to anyone.. thank you from the bottom of my heart....

10/10 Simply Isn't Enough For Simon & His Team

After losing my father in a tragic fire incident and being pushed around and misled by a building insurance company, Simon really helped us understand what we were entitled to and turned a year-long struggle around in no time at all. Not only did Simon manage to recover over £1,400 of costs that the other company insisted that I pay out of my own pocket, but his expertise helped us reach a resolution that we deserved.

10/10 really isn't enough for Simon and his team. Very attentive, no need for any chasing calls as Simon is fully on the ball. I can't thank you enough for everything that you helped myself and my husband through, we really appreciate it.

A feedback is not enough for this company 10 out 10

My feedback and praise for this company and for Michael Williamson is not enough. The tragic disaster in my life began on February when I was planning to change my flooring and noticed two foot of water under are floorboards, we contacted are insurance straight away who sent someone they had a look and put us in a hotel. Then a company representing them done an inspection trough a video link and then never contacted us. After a week we were told that their loss adjuster Sedgwick’s was coming to the property, it looked like they were just fobbing me offend trying their best to blame us. I then came across Public Loss Adjustors, I phoned them and straight away Michael Williamson was appointed at he came to see us. Where shall I begin, Michael came like an angel he was there straight away to our aid, even before I signed any contracts he spoke to the adjuster and tried to help. When we appointed him, he took all the pressure off me, he took all the stress upon himself, but the best bit was he new is business and role.
A day or so later I was going to get thrown out of my hotel due to Sedgwick’s negligence, but Michael sorted it out, this guy doesn’t mess around he means business. He will do everything he can to help you, his passion is clear, and I know he will give you 100% his best. I can honestly say his the most humble and hardworking dedicated guy I have ever met he treats you like your his family and not clients I would phone him in the middle of the night to have a rant and he would listen to me and give me advice.

In the end my insurance company were accepted the claim but tried to pay me just £6,000.00 but Michael didn’t let that happen, he was there with all the answers fighting are corner and in the end they paid over us £16,000.00 plus compensation for the delays and the full hotel bill. Thank you so much Michael. Anyone who is thinking twice please don’t hesitate you won’t regret it you will be in the best hands possible.

Simon and his team were honestly so…

Simon and his team were honestly so helpful. We didn’t have a clue what to do when the insurance company said they wouldn’t pay the full amount and Simon helped so much. Thanks to them we got our claim and everything worked out. They are all so friendly and honest and always there for us when we needed them on the phone or in person. Thank you so much. Really appreciate what you did for us.

Michael Williamson of PLA provided an excellent service throughout the short time it took him to resolve the dispute we had with our insurance company, which had been ongoing for nearly 6 months. Within 1 month of being appointed, he had secured an offer 10 times greater than the insurance company's original offer to us in settlement. Very professional service throughout. I would thoroughly recommend PLA.

Reinstating Building.

The Public Loss Adjusters took over responsibility for rebuilding our garage and outbuilding after a fire incident. They kept their promise and finished work to the highest quality. I very much appreciate efforts made by the Public Loss Adjusters to pursue our claim with the Insurance Company. Mr. Simon Colburn dealt with our claim with utmost clarity and urgency. We have no hesitation in recommending the services of the Public Loss Adjusters. They have brought smile to our faces.

U.K. PRESERVATIONS LIMITED.

I have previously posted a review about PLA which I removed, as the Managing Director made every effort to resolve our issues, at that time.
However, PLA appointed U.K. Preservations Limited, to gather and store some of our possessions. after a house fire. in February 2017. I believe it is fair to expect that a Preservation Company would store our possessions safely, until returned. However, they decided to sandblast a large, Arts and Crafts period fireguard, It had the original patina, but was returned to us in a raw metal state, completely ruined and devalued, I have been emailing and phoning the Director of UK Preservations Limited for several months, to claim compensation for the damage they have taken upon themselves to cause. The response has always been that the Director is compiling a response to my emails. I have also asked for details of their insurance, as their website claims they are covered for £100,000, for any one item, but no response.
I believe UK Preservations' attitude and behaviour to be totally unacceptable and would not be recommending them to future clients
The response posted to myr review of UK Preservations by PLA is simply untrue. I most definitely DID NOT appoint any Contractors I was told who the contractors would be. I ..most definitely DID NOT meet these people or have a choice. It took me over one year to have sight of the JCT Contract.. I complained many times times about the Contractor appointed by PLA and was told to contact the Director of the company. This is the true account of what happened over a 2 year 2 month period.

Very grateful to Public Loss Adjusters for taking the responsibilty of my claim and the ensuing peace of mind

I suffered a major flood due to a frozen pipe during the "beast from the East" freeze in March 2018. The first 48hrs after a flood are the most important to limit the damage but my insurance company, who claim to cater for the needs of elderly people, only offered a listening ear on the phone whilst my contents were visibly deteriotating before my eyes. I must have spoken to at least a dozen different claim handlers, this and the lack of action proved extremely frustrating. After a week salvaging my possessions with friends, family and neighbours I decided to contact Public Loss Adjusters to manage my claim. Within a few days Simon had setup a house visit together with the insurance loss adjusters and the claim started moving.
Throughout the process both John Wood and Simon Colburn provided exemplary attention to my needs and concerns and it was a great comfort to have a single point of contact. They acted with great assurance and confidence in representing my case for which I am very grateful. The renovation work done was thorough and completely to my satisfaction and I would gladly recommend Public Loss Adjusters to anyone who finds themselves in a similar unfortunate situation. Thank you to my loss adjusters!

From dealing with the insurance company and contractors he made our stay in temporary accommodation a lot less stressful. He also advised on how to deal with contents claim.
