Thank you guys for such a fantastic week on the Welsh Winter Mountaineering course! Not only did I have a fab peer group to experience this with I also had the pleasure of some great course deliverers!

I love staying at PYB, and I feel really safe in the environment I’m exposed to and well looked after. A special mention to Geoff/Jeff (not sure of spelling) the Chef and Diane ( as well as rest of the catering crew) who were amazing and looked after all of my GF needs! If anyone can make a ‘You’re amazing’ badge ( I did promise I’d make one), but ran out of time!

As for our guides/instructors... they were also amazing and gave me lots of positive memories and opportunities to learn so much in 5 days!
I’m still glowing from the week! Hopefully I’ll be back before long for another great adventure! 😁

Great instructors, very professional set up. Great new bike specific facility and came away very inspired!

Had an excellent 5 days paddling, the coach was excellent & I learnt loads.
The equipment supplied was top notch and the food was of a high standard. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - special mention to stores, catering & housekeeping all of whom contributed to what was a most excellent week.

Excellent weekend with great tuition. Highly recommended and good value for money.

A fantastic weekend, even with bad weather walking guides still motivated us to challenge ourselves on a difficult walk. Everyone so helpfull.

Excellent tuition. 1st class accommodation. Superb kit loan service. Wonderful food, and love the cakes late afternoon.

A lovely venue with very friends staff. The food provided was excellent and the bar is very comfortable with good beer. The view across the lake was a joy to see.

I needed to maintain my REC First Aid qualification so I booked on to a course with a huge smile on my face knowing that I was to spend a couple of days in fantastic company, eating fantastic food and in a spectacular location. I was not disappointed. The standard of the training given was pretty excellent too! It's just a shame I can't manage to wangle another trip in the near future! Loved it.

After spending a week in Scotland with PYB I would highly recommend the Scottish Winter Classics course to any aspiring mountaineer. Great accommodation, food and top quality instruction. During the later part of our week the weather conditions became very warm and it was increasing difficult to find SAFE winter routes, however the instructional staff used the time productively by visiting the indoor ice climbing wall, undertaking rescue training and dry tooling on a near by crag. Thank you PYB for a great week.

I always love doing courses at the Brenin. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Instructors are very knowledgable and deliver to a very high standard. The facilities are clean warm and the building has a certain authentic and historical charm.

Good place to stay for outdoor activities. Very good walking instructors and convenient to have accommodation, food, instruction and equipment all easy to access in one place.

Great atmosphere, and very inclusive and informative staff couldn’t recommend it enough

Great experience. I got exactly what I wanted from my MTB level 2 course and felt looked after extremely well :-) A great venue for outdoor training and experiences and in my opinion really well run

As good mountain training now as it was in 1987 when I first went.
