The concept behind these bikes is great. The problem though lies in the poor components and rubbish construction. I have had the RadWagon 4 for a little over 2 years and have about 6000k on it between home and school for the kids. If I had the chance to do it over; I certainly wouldn’t buy one again.
Slechte service
Radbike beloofde perfecte service ookal vertrokken ze uit Europa. Ik zit al twee maanden op een nieuw achterwiel te wachten (wat na 1,5 jaar al kapot was) en wordt van het kastje naar de muur gestuurd. Kwikfit geeft aan nog 30(!) van dit soort voorbeelden te hebben.
Terrible customer service, still waiting for my shipment for 1 werk.
I have ordered a pair of tires and no response for 1 week. They haven’t shipped yet. I sent a couple of emails and no one answer me. Completely terrible experience.

Fiets gekocht en een paar weken later horen dat ze vertrekken uit Europa. Na ongeveer een jaartje begint te blijken waarom de fietsen zo goedkoop zijn.
Weigerende remmen, verroeste schroeven en handvatten die aan het verteren zijn. Volgende keer weer gewoon een vertrouwd Nederlands merk...
Warranty not honored
Purchased RadRunner 2 from Rad Power Bikes directly. After few months noticed that the battery range is getting lower and lower. 8 months after the purchase it was able to provide max 10km of range on a full charge. Took it to the local RadPower authorized shop, they hooked it up to a machine that tested the battery and confirmed that it is faulty (showed ~100Wh capacity instead of rated 672Wh). The shop ordered replacement battery for me under warranty including the report of their tests, mentioned it should take couple of weeks. After 2 months of replacement battery not arriving, the shop suggested for me to get in touch with RadPower support directly, and this is where hell began. I was asked to start providing photographic and video evidence of the faulty battery, pretty much ignoring order replacement and test results of their own shop. It has been 6 months already, back and forth sending photos and videos to their support. Nothing is ever sufficient for them and they just come up with something new for me to photograph or film. Their latest request is to film a video of me riding a bike from full charge to empty, the video needs to show from beginning to the end how it drains too quick. Is this a joke? Not to mention that they ignore official test results and requests for a replacement from their own authorized shop. Clearly it's a technique that they are using to avoid honoring warranty which they are obligated to do by law. I spent €1700 on this ebike and cannot use it due to a battery defect. I am starting a process through a lawyer against this company for failure to honor warranty terms.
Customer service
The bike itself is great. The customer service in Europe is now zero, even for a bike that's still under warranty. They claim that their customers will still receive support and will not be left high and dry, but it's just not true. No answers to repeated emails, no replacement of faulty parts. Nothing. Very, very disappointed customer!

I was really enjoying my rad wagon and feeling impressed with a bargain purchase. However, after care is really what it is all about right. After just 8 months I had problems with the power and was told that they needed recordings of the problem including power cutting out while I go along. This did not seem safe, sensible and seemed to put the responsibility on me to be part of the diagnostics. I asked if I could take it to a bike shop linked to them and they said any diagnostics and labour even if the issue was under warranty would not be paid for. Therefore I was left to facilitate the diagnostics, remotely and with a lag as it was via email. In addition, and most shocking waa when I was told the issue was with the LCD display having got wet inside and that this was not covered by warranty! Imagine an integral part of the bike not covered for getting wet, on a bike for outdoor use! I imagine this is because the item is known to be faulty as it is cheap and the company can't afford to keep replacing. They sent me an invoice for the item which was over €100, yet in parallel another operative told me to dry it out with rice, stating if I didn't then any persisting faults would be my fault! Interestingly the invoice was also for a display that was out of stock! Poor service all round.
I now have to find money for an item that should be covered and will likely get wet again and get faulty. I also don't even know if this is the real issue perhaps problems are more pervasive! The items will take 15 working days to come which means walking my 3 and 7 year old to their two different schools now and with the little one now being late ecah morning (the area I live you can only walk or use cycles in stoke Newington).
I won't tell you about the stand either, needless to say, clunky, heavy and rattled until the main bolt sheeres off all by itself, very dangerous!
I won't recommend this bike to anyone now around my area, everyone asks about it, although I guess the company is moving to the states, I wonder why?!
I shall likely have to try and find an electric bike shop to make good.
A previous review stating going to a European organisation to pursue money back which I shall do.

Rad Runner / Rad Rhino
Ich fahre nun seit mehreren das Rad Runner 2 und und seit letztem Jahr noch das Rad Rhino.
Mit beiden Bikes bin ich sehr zufrieden. Bis jetzt keinerlei Probleme. OK, die Räder sind relativ schwer, aber das weiß man ja vorher.
Sehr robust, viel Zubehör und zusammen mit den Anhängern von Burley optimal für den Trsnsport von Kids, den Hunden und allen Einkäufen.
Habe die Käufe nie bereut.
Finde es schade, das der europäische Markt die Marke nicht genug angenommen hat.

August 2023 habe ich ein E-Bike von radpowerbikes bekommen, leider nicht funktionstüchtig. Nach langem Schriftverkehr habe ich das Bike zurückgeschickt und die Angelegenheit einem Rechtsanwalt übergeben. Schlechter geht es nun wirklich nicht.

I used to love my Radrunner plus, but less than one year using it the battery stopped charging. That in itself might be a coincidence (but it might also be due to poor quality), however my biggest problem is the fact that after two whole months since my first email the customer service has been unable to provide a solution, while requesting quite a lot of labor from me documenting the issue. They answer an email every two weeks if you’re lucky, and easily lose the thread, asking the same questions again and again.
When they finally agreed to replace the battery (again, two months and several emails in) they told me that they do not have the battery in stock and THEY DON’T KNOW WHEN IT WILL BE AGAIN. Excuse me?! How is this solving my problem in any way?
Warranty is enforced by law. Shouldn’t have to be begged for. If you’re experiencing the same from their customer service, know that you can make a claim through consumer europe offices (search ECC on google). It’s free in most countries.
I’m submitting a claim now and spreading the word in my network that this is not a brand to be trusted. Regretting ever buying from them.

Replacement defective headlight - warranty 2-year period
We bought a Radwagon 4 in February 2023 (order 20-68589). The headlight already became defective. Within the 2-year warranty period, we requested a replacement of the headlight free of charge. Unfortunately, we have not received any response at all to our request, even after sending several e-mails.

Mangel am Hinterreifen, Neukauf angeboten
Wir haben 4 Räder bei RAD Power Bikes bestellt.
Mein Radrhino Plus kam mit einem Lackabplatzer, der mir mit Erstattung der Lieferkosten erträglich gemacht wurde. Beim jetzigen Zusammenbau ist mir am Hinterrad ein eingedellter (auf 10cm um 1cm nach innen gerutscht) Zierstreifen aufgefallen. Wenn sich das Rad dreht sieht es aus, als würde der Reifen eiern, oder einen Schlag haben. Hätte gern Bild oder Video eingestellt. Der Kundenservice bot mir nun an, für 80€ einen neuen Reifen zu bestellen. Das finde ich mehr als Frech, wo meiner einen offensichtlichen Mangel aufweist!
Mir wurde mitgeteilt, dass der Kunde optische Mängel hinnehmen muss! Der Tausch des Reifens/ Mantels wurde abgelehnt. Also würde ich den Kauf eines Rad Fahrrades nicht empfehlen!

Bad Support.
I have bought my third Radbike for my wife. But it was faulty on arrival. The Customer service is very bad and doesent deserve to be described as such. The tech support guy told me to rip apart another bike to swap all the parts over including the controller to determine what was wrong with the one just out of the box. I went along with it in part but after hours of trouble shooting decided that i would like a replacement. The support guy told me that UPS would pick it up on a certain day. So after going through all the hassle of dismantling it (again) and then packing it in the box the UPS didnt turn up. Why one may ask. I will tell you. The support guy did not contact UPS to arrange the pickup even though he had 14 days to do so. (You have to be home all day for the pick up) they only pick up on tuesdays,wednesdays,and thursdays so if you go to work for a living that your problem. Now i need to stay home for another day for UPS. Who knows if that will work? Very disappointed and the saga is not over yet.
BTW. The radbike support reply to this review is from the same guy that has caused this whole issue. Don't fall for it and think that it is an attempt to resolve it. It is not. I fact he has now gone back on his promise to replace the faulty bike!

A great bike exactly suited to my local rides
After much research I decided on the RhinoPlus and really pleased that I did.
It is excellently suited for the mixed roads and forest trails that we have locally and a joy to ride.
The assembly was very easy and straight forward and completed with little fuss.
I was clad that I got the step through as its easy to get on and off as the bike is quite heavy but you don't notice this when riding.
The pick up from the motor is very good and exceptionally smooth.
The only redesign that I would like is that there is not much room left on the handle bars for my phone and whilst the two screens are good not sure how useful it is. Busy researching handlebar extensions which maybe the answer.
Its a great shame you are leaving Europe and the best of luck for the future.
