Mijn 2e Rad Power fiets! Helaas error 30. Kwikfit is de redder!

Na bijna 5000 km in 2 jaar met veel plezier en zonder problemen op een Rad Rhino te hebben gefietst durfde ik het aan om in de sale als 2e e-bike een Radcity te kopen enkele maanden geleden. Kort na aanschaf werden de fietsen 200 euro goedkoper, het zou fijn zijn als Radpower mij dit net als bij anderen compenseert…. Een tegoedbon van 50 euro is voor een 2e fiets zelfde eigenaar ook al niet mogelijk….
De Radcity is een heerlijke fiets voor de stad, fietst zeer comfortabel en doet zijn werk goed. Veel onderdelen zijn dezelfde als van de Rad Rhino dus dat schept vertrouwen. Helaas krijg ik vanaf gisteren error 30 op mijn schermpje, ik heb er nog geen 500 km op gefietst! Alle stekkertjes na gekeken, de accu en connectoren gecheckt, helaas….
Morgen maar contact zoeken met het helpcentrum, als dit lukt ( gelet op de vele reviews op engelstalige trustpilot).

Vervolg 29 oktober:

Heb via mail contact gehad met helpcenter US. Een week geleden op hun verzoek mijn ordernummer doorgegeven. Daarna niets meer vernomen ondanks mijn herinneringsmail enkele dagen geleden.
Ik ben diep teleurgesteld in Radpower; heb een nieuwe fiets, nog geen 500 km gefietst, kan hem niet meer gebruiken en wordt in de steek gelaten door het helpcenter!
Ik overweeg vervolgstappen als dit zo blijft….

Update 071123:

Met het helpcenter via mail kwam ik niet veel verder, kreeg na een week wachten dezelfde link toegezonden om het probleem te verhelpen door een andere medewerker…
Zag op de website dat Radpower Kwikfit in de arm heeft genomen voor service. Hierop heb ik een vestiging bij mij in de buurt gebeld. Ik kon dezelfde dag nog een afspraak maken en na 2 dagen was de fiets weer helemaal OK!! Er is een nieuwe kabelboom ingekomen, zonder kosten (valt onder garantie, Kwikfit regelt alles). Kwikfit, ik ben superblij met jullie!!!
Had nu pas het gevoel dat ik ontzorgd werd. Waarom werd ik door Radpower Helpcenter niet doorverwezen naar Kwikfit??

Leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht und…

So, es sind nun weitere 2 Monate vergangen und es ist leider nichts passiert. Weitere Mails, weitere Fotos und Videos wurden verschickt, aber man wird ständig hingehalten und gebeten weitere Fotos zu schicken. Ich werde wohl doch meinen Anwalt einschalten müssen, denn 1400 EUR einfach zu "verbrennen" sehe ich dann doch nicht ein.... Also rundum - DANKE FÜR NICHTS!

Leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht und mittlerweile auch ein bisschen genervt. Ich hatte ein RadPowerBike RadRunner Plus gekauft und war sehr zufrieden. Einige Monate später kaufte ich meiner Frau ein RadCity Plus, was wir weniger als 10 km nutzen konnten. Das Display geht nicht mehr an. Die Batterie scheint in Ordung, aber es funktioniert einfach nicht. Alle Kabel wurden geprüft und wir bekamen nach einigen Mails zwei Ersatz-Komponenten geschickt. Diese funktionierten leider auch nicht, sodass das Bike nutzlos ist. Seitdem gibt es keine Antwort mehr, seitens RPB.

This is my 3 rad, I love them, the build quality is excellent and I love that it is peddle assist and just not sit and go. Works extremally well, I wish I could convert the rhino 5 brakes to the hydraulic on the 6.

Extremely Disappointed - Do Not Buy from Rad Power Bikes

I had a truly terrible experience with Rad Power Bikes, and I feel compelled to share my story to prevent others from going through a similar ordeal. I recently made a purchase with them, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare.

I placed an order with Rad Power Bikes, and they charged my card promptly. However, that's where the professionalism and reliability ended. I received absolutely nothing in return—no receipt, no confirmation, not even a simple acknowledgment of my purchase. It was a concerning start to say the least.

When I reached out to their customer support for assistance, the frustration escalated. Their response was astonishingly unhelpful. They claimed they had no record of my payment and insisted that they couldn't process a refund because they didn't have the money. This was despite the fact that my bank had provided me with proof of the transaction, complete with confirmation numbers and timestamps. I had irrefutable evidence that Rad Power Bikes had indeed charged my card, but they refused to acknowledge it.

The lack of transparency and their unwillingness to resolve the issue is deeply concerning. It is quite evident that their customer service is severely lacking, and they seem to disregard their customers' concerns.

My experience with Rad Power Bikes has left me incredibly frustrated and disappointed. I have now resorted to pursuing other avenues to get my money back. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to avoid doing business with Rad Power Bikes. It's truly disheartening to see a company engage in what appears to be deceptive practices, and I don't want anyone else to fall victim to their apparent scam.

In summary, Rad Power Bikes charged me for a purchase, failed to provide any confirmation, and refused to refund me despite my bank's proof of payment. I would strongly caution against buying from them. Please consider other reputable options for your biking needs.

Hello. I bought my two radrhino 5 plus. I am 24 stone and have allways liked my cycling. But when it came to the big hills it really did take it out of me.now I do not worry at all .some days I could cycle 50 kilm.i am so happy with it.i have ordered a third rad 5 plus.

Dan fietst ie nog eens 30 seconden perfect hoe ik hen gewend ben en dan valt ie uit
Hoe kom ik van error 30 af??!!!

I purchased a Radcity 5 Plus just…

I purchased a Radcity 5 Plus just recently. At first glance it looked promising and the assembly was a breeze given the good instructions and video recording. My problem started when I hitted the power button the first time. The screen's turned on but after 2 seconds it gave me error code #21 and it has been doing so ever since... I have followed the troubleshooting guide but with no luck... Now I have been waiting + 2 weeks and still no reply from the EU customer service team. Been in contact with the US team who informed me that this is a controller related issue and that it will need replacement. Problem is, that they can't ship to customers in Europe...
My advice to other potential RAD buyers would be to think twice before buying.

They are leaving Europe and as such their aftersales service is a disaster.I have a problem with two bikes I bought and they are completely ignoring my request for support. Their phone lines are now permanently closed. They are continuing to sell products and take your money.Be aware

Top fiets voor weinig

Radcity 5 plus aangeschaft. Snel geleverd eenvoudig in elkaar te zetten. Fiets geweldig top aankoop. In de uitverkoop kunnen aanschaffen.

Nu een paar weken 2 rhino 6 plus…

Nu een paar weken 2 rhino 6 plus gekocht. Opzich prima fiets. Alleen in een regenbui had die van mij er geen zin meer in en display van de fiets van m’n vrouw stuk( snel een nieuwe geleverd trouwens) wel heel jammer dat we nog steeds wachten op 2 pakjesdragers.

Very happy with the bike

I have read some of the other reviews and sorry to read some of their issues, mine however has been fantastic, right from ordering the bike to the delivery, I had a R R 5 before getting this R R 6+, super easy to put together. I had an issue with a charger and a light that didn’t work, I contacted them and even though I couldn’t upload pic or video , they did the decent thing and have sent me replacements, Sander was fantastic through the process and replied to all my mails in a timely fashion, ok so Rad are leaving Europe so you pay your money and take a chance , for an RR 6+ for 999 euro that was 1600 euro then 1300 euro is a no brainer, the service centre here in Ireland in Dublin are very good by all accounts so I’m not worried at all. Ive made provisions for the main spares that might go wrong so I’ve covered myself there also. Great bike, great support I’ve had. Some I am very happy with my purchase, sad to see Rad going.

Easy to order and quicker than stated…

Easy to order and quicker than stated delivery! Bike looks robust and easy to assemble. But then comes the issue the electric motor doesn’t work. Did all the electrical fault trace and pictures to very and send them to customer support. Then two weeks of no response so stuck with just a heavy bike that doesn’t work. Not what I had hoped for when ordering my first Radpower.

The bike arrived well packed but several issues

The bike arrived well packed, all assembled no problem!
Upon ordering you can order optional extras, of which mud guards (fenders) was one, I ordered these as they were an optional extra only to find them on the bike already when it arrived, I didn't need to order the mud guards at all !!
Also the bike has a gearing fault so I'm going to have to take a brand new bike to the cycle shop to get it adjusted as the chain constantly slips and is very difficult to ride because of it.

I have tried getting onto Rad cycles but they keep ignoring the mails and not getting back to me, a common theme according to others!

Leider falsche Versprechungen - Familienmitglieder werben.

Leider falsche Versprechungen.
Familienmitglieder können nicht geworben werden wenn diese die gleiche Adresse haben. Auch kam das Fahrrad mit vielen Lackmängel und mir wurde eine Erstattung von 74,50€ angeboten - diese reichen zur Mängelbeseitigung nicht aus.

Die Räder (habe nicht nur eines) sind toll, ABER der Service sollte verbessert werden, auch wenn die Firma sich Ende 2023 aus Europa zurückzieht.
