Very Disappointing

Mostly all good but delivery was so poor they say delivery within 24hrs but no it took 3days, they blamed it on the post office, if that’s the case I surgest you use another service. I didn’t get my jacket in time to go away, very disappointed.

I am sorry to hear about the delay in delivery Richard and the inconvenience it caused. We have been using Royal Mail's Special Delivery pre1pm next day service since November 1999 and have always been very pleased with it. I do not know what happened in this case.

Exceptional Online Shopping Experience

I was very hesitant to order the Barbour jacket I had been looking at from an online retailer. However, I lacked a store in my area where I could purchase in person. Cox the Saddler came highly recommended as THE place to purchase anything Barbour. I can to find out that this reputation is highly deserved!

Sara responded to my messages and emails quickly and with an exceptional level of service and clarity. My items were dispatched quickly once ordered, and were well packaged and in perfect condition once I received them.

I did run into an issue with the package becoming temporarily stuck at a US distribution center for a couple of weeks. I made them aware of this, and I received a response the next day with offers of assistance and options should the package become lost. Fortunately the post office was able to finally get the package to me, if just a little late. But it was a huge peace of mind knowing I wasn’t on my own to figure it out.

I will absolutely be using Cox the Saddler again for any further Barbour items I need in the future.

Superior online shop

It was time to replace my old vintage Barbour, and I was fortunate enough to come across mention of this shop for a replacement. They have a comprehensive list of merchandise, w/ what appears to be the complete Barbour line. Descriptions, pictures, and pricing are extensive, and are very helpful in shopping. Sara is quick to respond to any inquiries regarding sizing or stock. Pricing is fantastic, VAT is excluded for delivery to non-UK addresses. I received my order to Central Texas in a week, and the quality is fantastic, absolutely mint! Highly recommended if you are in the market for this type of item!

This is a company that cares, both about its product and its customers. Just a great experience from end to end. Clearly Cox believes in the product they sell, and know it well. And they want nothing more than to make their customers happy. I couldn't recommend them more.

Excellent customer service that is…

Excellent customer service that is trustworthy!

Made an order for a replacement luggage wheel but I got the wrong side wheel so I reached out to Sara and Paul who were more than happy to accommodate and help me throughout the process. I truly appreciate their support and transparency throughout the exchange process with constant updates throughout! I will definitely purchase from them again :)

Quality products but disappointing customer service!!

I came across with Cox the Saddler while reading the Barbour reddit, it’s mentioned that it’s a trusted seller, and I decided to purchase a Barbour jacket and two accessories. I have other Barbours but couldn’t be sure about the sizing etc so reached out to them asking for a recommendation. After a week Sara responded providing a detailed information. And I placed the order with her help, then received the order promptly with no problem. The journey was great, until I spotted a poor stitch in the navy blue fleece Betty liner and emailed Sara attaching a few photos! She accused me of sending a photo of a different product pretending it’s a navy blue fleece Betty!!! That was unbelievable!! These are her exact words: “I wonder if you could send another photo as the one you have sent does not look like a navy blue Fleece Betty at all, the lining appears to be bright red. Perhaps it is due to the lighting or a filter on the camera?” This is not the way to treat customers! There are thousands of other ways to ask for further photos politely without accusing someone! I shared my disappointment and yet no apology or response from Sara but Paul responded mentioning that he’ll look into it but no apology from him either! Seems like they are ok with their attitude! All I wanted was to support a small family business while purchasing a quality product with a good price from a trusted seller. Even though I’m happy with the products (4stars for the products) I’m very disappointed in the customer service I’ve received (0 stars) so on average 2 stars. Btw I’ve checked trustpilot reviews and seems like I’m not the only one who found the attitude rude.

I am sorry you found the wording of my response accusatory, that certainly was not my intention, I just could not understand why the lining of the fleece Betty appeared to be red. I had forgotten it is burgundy in colour.
Looking at our records I can see my brother Paul and colleague Debbie responded in the friendly tones, which are much more fitting to our small family business.

Highly Recommend

My experience with Cox the Saddler was excellent. They helped answer a bunch of questions I had on a few different products. Shipping to the US was also quick. Overall, I am extremely happy with my experience and look forward to purchasing from the shop again.

A few eons ago…

A few eons ago, when I was younger and budget strapped, I spotted a display of Barbour jackets while exploring Harrods in London. The design and quality struck me, but I couldn’t justify the purchase. That was a mistake that has rattled around in my brain ever since, until I spotted the Barbour reddit, read about Cox the Saddler being a trusted and highly regarded seller, and finally bought myself a Classic Beaufort. Ordering on their website was fun, as were the Royal Mail updates during my package shipment. I enjoyed not paying VAT (sorry not sorry), but even more appreciated buying a UK produced jacket through a UK family owned purveyor. I look forward to my next Barbour purchase through Cox the Saddler, and promise not to wait so long this time. Cheers
