Unsolicited Spam and No Response — Avoid This Company
Following a data breach and my private contact details being discovered on the dark web, I recently started receiving unsolicited marketing emails from Sentcell (using the domains sentcell.co and trial-sentcells.com) along with other companies. I have never heard of this company, never visited their website, and have never used my email address to register with them or any associated third party.
I have no legitimate interest in their services or products, which makes the spam even more concerning. The emails do not include an opt-out link. I contacted the company directly to ask where they obtained my email address and to request full removal from their marketing list. They never responded. The emails continue.
My email address was never registered anywhere and has never been used to sign up for marketing of any kind, and I’m confident I never gave consent for Sentcell to contact me. In my view, this raises serious concerns about how they collect, use, and share personal data.
If they are obtaining email addresses without consent and ignoring data removal requests, this may constitute a breach of UK GDPR. The fact that they do not even acknowledge such concerns makes it worse.
I strongly advise others to exercise caution and avoid any interaction with this company. If you receive unwanted emails from them, report it and leave your feedback. Companies that abuse personal data and ignore privacy rights should not be trusted.
