I’m sorry you perceived our pre-sales support to be poor. Having reviewed the logs from our chat system I can see that our agent was sending replies back to you though you didn’t seem to be receiving them; possibly due to network issues (as you are in Greece and we are in the U.K. then this is always possible); hence the system then sends the messages as email / so you will probably find that you have the responses as emails now.

I was so suprised to receive the parts I ordered for my Gaggia classic so quickly. This is the second time i got some parts from Shades Coffee. Both occasions I had excellent service from the.
Sometimes it takes longer time to get things from Australian suppliers.
In short, I am super happy with Shades Coffee

Great shop
Incredibly quick delivery, great range of products! Product looks and feels great.
I got the bottomless portafilter - fits perfectly into the machine and matches the existing handle. Will probably be using them going forwards to upgrade my coffee machine.

The Bottomless Porta-filter is great
The Bottomless Porta-filter is great - polished finish cast aluminium body with a good quality filter. The wooden handle also has a great finish and is interchangeable with other wooden handles from SOC. And of course it’s great to see the coffee ooze through nice and evenly!

Thanks for your review - though just to point out that we don't sell light-weight aluminium portafilters - ours are either stainless steel (including the one you purchased) or chrome plated brass. Both of these are indeed great, the stainless steel one being particularly robust and a great heat conductor. Hopefully it will give you many years of coffee-making service.

Had an issue with my PID, with the help and guidance from Adrian, everything is fixed and back in working order.

Good!
Quick dispatch, well packaged, tidy product that seems to be working well and I’m sure that it will become better and better as I learn to use it more. Considering the amount of modifications needed SoC have domestically a great job getting this kit to fit in the Gaggia case. My only real frustration was fitting - the instructions do have everything you need to know, are step by step and quite well illustrated. I did find them overly and frustratingly conversational and details of whys and wherefores kept distracting. There isn’t an easy ‘Use’ part of the instructions either. It needs are working IMO. But it does contain all the information to fit in the right order so this certainly shouldn’t put anyone off buying the kit!

Extraction timer for gaggia classic, Brill!
The purchase and delivery was super quick, thank you!
The only constructive feedback I have is about the timer, it's lush, brilliant at yining my extraction. But maybe a bit expensive? Plus it has to be at a certain angle to be able to read it, if you see what I mean.
Love your company, and will order items again:)

Thanks very much for the 5* review - it’s really appreciated. We just wanted to give you some feedback concerning your pricing comment on the CronoQube timer. We spent a huge amount of money developing this product over a long period of time, mainly so that we could offer Gaggia (and other coffee machine brand) owners a cost effective automatic shot-timer. The only real alternative to our shot timer is a similar product that costs about £90. We can understand why they charge this much for it, as I doubt we’ll ever recoup our development and production costs for the CronoQube - but we really wanted baristas to have some alternative to automatically timing shots at something considerably less than £90. The CronoQube is our answer, and at significantly less that half the price we think we’ve done pretty well! It’s also an LCD screen, due to the low power consumption required for a battery operated device, and due to the way they work these typically have a specific reading angle, with display contrast shifting outside of that. Anyway - just a little background and info that we thought you might appreciate, given the time you took to write your kind review.

Simple and works well
I ordered the PID, over pressure valve and pressure gauge kits. The detailed guidelines are impressive, and you really can't do wrong (pictures, warnings, reminders, etc...) The pressure reduction and temperature control improved my shots. Thank you!
