I'd been seeking new opportunities outside of my current field for some time with no real success. So, when my partner mentioned Shift as something to try, I figured "why not?". I have somewhat of a very unique educational background and skillset and was seeking a role in a new field. The combination of these factors made it difficult for me to find value in the introductory materials provided by Shift. However, the 1-on-1 career coaching sessions were well worth the subscription. Olivia was able to listen to my story, internalize my unique background/experience, and develop a customized approach to successfully finding a new role. I gained a boost of confidence and motivation after each session. The resources and information provided by the coach, consisted of clear instructions on steps to make me stand out as a applicant, from truly important tips and tricks to update my entire LinkedIn profile to templates for drafting cold emails employers to enhance my professional network. If you feel like you're stuck and not making any progress in your career search, give Shift a try. By the way, I landed a new role in less than 3 months after starting my subscription.

Knowledge and professionalism without being distant.

Olivia was very helpful in our coaching sessions and gave helpful and useful feedback that helped me in my interview process. The suggestion she gave with my resume also helped me land move interview.

I signed up for Shift Careers expecting to pay ₹1,909. However, I was subsequently charged an additional ₹3,339 for a Career Coaching add-on that I did not knowingly authorize or clearly agree to.

I only discovered the additional charge after checking my card statement. I contacted Shift Careers immediately and requested a refund, but they have so far refused to refund the ₹3,339 and instead offered me a free coaching session.

I have also reviewed the checkout process separately and have concerns about how clearly the additional ₹3,339 charge is disclosed before payment. I have provided supporting screenshots and screen recordings to their team.

I also attempted to use the coaching service, but the scheduled session did not go as expected, despite me being available for the entire scheduled time.

I do not want a replacement coaching session or account credit. I simply want the ₹3,339 refunded to my original payment method.

I hope Shift Careers takes this complaint seriously, reviews its checkout and billing process, and resolves the matter by issuing the refund.

Shift Careers — be very careful before subscribing

I would strongly recommend doing your research before paying for Shift Careers.

I subscribed expecting the platform to provide access to relevant job opportunities and career support. However, after subscribing, I found that there were no meaningful job opportunities available to me that matched what I was looking for.

I also did not meaningfully use the platform. After noticing the charge, I cancelled the subscription promptly and contacted their support team to request a refund.

The charge was approximately ₹10,500, which is a significant amount for me right now as I am currently between jobs. I explained this to their support team and asked them to reconsider the charge given the circumstances.

My request went through multiple people and multiple reviews. I even pointed out that Shift has made refund exceptions in other cases and has previously asked customers to contact them directly regarding their individual circumstances.

Despite all of this, they ultimately refused to refund the money.

What makes this particularly frustrating is that I subscribed because of the impression that the platform could help me find relevant opportunities. After paying, I did not find the value or opportunities I expected, and when I cancelled promptly and asked for my money back, the answer was simply no.

They have offered to let me continue using the platform until September 11, but that doesn’t really address the issue — I don’t want continued access to a service that I don’t find useful. I wanted a refund for a service I did not meaningfully use.

I’m sharing my experience so that anyone considering Shift Careers can look carefully at what they are actually getting before paying, particularly regarding the availability of relevant job opportunities and the refund policy.

I have kept the complete email correspondence, cancellation confirmation, and payment records to substantiate what I’m saying here.

This is my personal experience with Shift Careers, and I’m sharing it so others can make an informed decision.

A very disappointing experience. While the coaches are fine, the service is extremely basic, and the staff show no flexibility or desire to accommodate customer needs. I definitely would not recommend them.

I had an amazing experience with shift.careers. I realized I was not at fault for having little work experience or education. It was my Resumé format and LinkedIn all along. Thanks to shift.careers and Olivia who have guided me and continue to give the assistance that I needed in the areas I went wrong. I feel so much more confident in finding employment!

Shift Carrers not only is completely useless because it doesn't find any valuable opportunity but it keeps charging your credit card for months.
DO NOT use this program, I'm fighting with my credit card to get the money back.
I received confirmation that my account was canceled in June and they still charge me in August.
Don't even subscribe to ANY of those programs advertised on Instagram, they are just gimmiky way to steal money.

No one cares to support me even after multiple follow up on their BOT. Always a standard user replies that they have taken over the chat but no real time assistance. While taking the subscription, it was informed that they have 24/7 support which is false and no one available.
