Hi Adam,

Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the hotshoe you received.

We would just like to clarify that the plastic hotshoe supplied is a standard Godox spare part that we continue to stock, rather than an incorrect item being sent. We also stock the newer metal version separately, which is available for purchase. There are multiple photographs on the product page showing the plastic hotshoe, although we appreciate your feedback that the protective cover in some of the images may have made this less obvious to you.

When you contacted us, we were happy to accept the item back and waived our usual 15% handling fee as a gesture of goodwill, even though the item had been opened. Unfortunately, we could not refund the original delivery charge as this was the cost incurred in sending the order via DPD.

We’re sorry that the purchase was not what you expected, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the product images. We will take this on board and look at whether we can make the distinction between the plastic and metal versions even clearer for future customers.

We do regret that things didn’t go smoothly with your order. We tried to resolve the missing softbox at the time by sending an alternative at our own cost after you agreed, but we completely understand that this wasn’t the solution you were hoping for. We’re also sorry to hear that the reflectors weren’t compatible with your setup. While our returns window had passed as there was a 7 week gap when this was brought to our attention, it’s clear you’d been frustrated from early on and we’re sorry if that wasn’t properly acknowledged.

We never want a customer to feel ignored or let down. Your feedback has been shared with our team and management so we can review how we handle situations like this moving forward.

We’re sorry to hear you felt this way and truly regret that your experience left you disappointed.

We always aim to resolve matters fairly and within the terms agreed at the time of purchase. In this case, the item was dispatched following a confirmed change to the order, where there was no written request for cancellation beforehand, which is why it was processed as normal with the changed address.

Once the parcel was refused at delivery and returned to us unopened, we offered to issue a refund minus the courier charge, which is standard for refused B2B deliveries. We appreciate that you disagreed with this approach, and we’re sorry it led to frustration.

We’ve taken note of your feedback and will continue to review how we handle these situations to ensure clarity for all customers going forward.

We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to encounter issues at checkout and then feel ignored when you tried to follow up. We aim to respond promptly across all channels, and we’re sorry if your messages weren’t picked up as quickly as they should have been.

With regard to the pricing error and stock issue, we acknowledge that our system allowed a payment to go through for an item that had just gone out of stock, and for that we sincerely apologise. We’ve since been reviewing our inventory syncing and online checkout process to help avoid this happening again.

We’re also sorry to hear that the product didn’t meet your expectations. Since this review, we have changed manufacturer of mounts, taking what you said on board and now supplier higher quality mounts.

As a B2B supplier, our terms differ slightly from consumer retail sites. Our return policy, which includes a standard 15% restocking fee, is clearly stated on our website and is in place to help cover the handling and processing costs involved, even when an item is unopened. We appreciate that this may have come as a surprise, especially if the return information wasn’t immediately visible on your delivery paperwork, and we’ll review how we can make those details easier to find going forward.

We’re also sorry for the delay in replying to your emails. That’s not the level of service we aim to provide, and we’ll be looking into what caused the communication gap in this instance.
