I ordered the system late in 2024. They promised delivery in December. It didn't arrive. In January, I wrote them and they promised late February delivery.

This continued several more times. It's now September 2025 and it STILL hasn't arrived. Also, the credit card only allows 60 days refund.

I am happy with my shrooly. It helps me to exercise my patience. I am extremely satisfied with my shrooly and their services such as support services.

I ordered almost 3 years ago - STILL NOTHING

They send out these insane, repetitive nonsense emails, they are still actively selling units online but not delivering to customers who have back orders from 22/23

DO NOT order from these fools. Whatever you do.

If i could put zero stars I would. Put an order through a year ago and they've stopped responding, only with an AI email, and never delivered item. I've requested refund multiple times with NO response. Do NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. SCAM. I have put through an FTC complaint.

Non existent customer service.

I have reached out repeatedly to customer support due to issues with my Shrooly. They're just not answering, over a period of months!

I thoroughly love Shrooly! It's a piece of art that changes in front of your very eyes each day. Such a thrill to see how quickly the mushrooms grow. I even gave my daughter one that she uses, as a science teacher, to show and teach her students the growth cycle. The kids are so invested in their cultivations and even taking them to cooking class to prepare them. Lots of fun!

The purpose is this device is growing mushrooms, which it gloriously fails with. Out of seven pods, I've had one success. All the others were either moldy or void of life. The reason that I'm giving it one star extra is that, up to about two months ago, they readily shipped replacement pods.

The most horrible experience is their customer system, though. After having ordered a Shrooly with six prepaid pods an June 24, 2024 (#EU-8221), my pod credits were set to zero for the first time on August 26.

Until today (August 30, 2025), my pod credits have been reset four times, the last time including all my order history plus the delivery address. The app stopped working ("no internet connection"), and there is no response from customer support, neither via their messaging system, nor via e-mail.

This went alongside claiming that I should try to kickstart dead pods by putting them back in the fridge for two weeks. Even when honestly asking for what I might be doing wrong (no demand of replacement pods from my side!), they remain unresponsive.

Waste of good money. The idea is great, but if I'll continue with it, I'll try to find other producers of such bags first.

I'm left frustrated, with money still spend on those pods that vanished, and somewhat angry with their customer service.

First I was very skeptical but then when I saw it grow and work ist was great. If u want simple mushroom growing at home I only can recommend Shrooly. Better than all other products like it.

This is a fruiting chamber. For that purpose it works well. Just make sure to not buy the anymush. The bag is packed too tight and mold infests every time. Tried other bag manufacturers and no issues. The machine though is good for fruiting or buy the premade bag ready to fruit and you should have a good time!

Bought one of these devices and have had very limited success growing mushrooms. Wanted to persevere but the company stopped selling pods to the UK with no warning, explanation or response to queries about this. No feel I've bought an expensive device which has become worthless. Avoid this company as even if you live in the US the way they treat customers is a very bad sign of how the company operates

It had been 3 years, dince i placed order #248 on indiegogo. Status updates claimed to be shipping to all 50 states. It took 3 months of stalking Shrooly to convince them to send my units.

1 month has passed. Shrooly is not accessible for support. Pods cannot be ordered one time, with membership, or using credits. Different errors occur. I have tried email, facebook, instagram, linkedin, and yiytube to reach them. I think they must be bankrupt. It's not a very good company.

I backed Shrooly on Indiegogo in December 2022 for £449. Despite their July 2025 update claiming progress, I have still not received anything. They stopped replying to emails after that update.

At this point I consider this campaign highly misleading. I will be filing complaints with Trading Standards and Action Fraud UK, and I am preparing a small claims court case against Shrooly Ltd (registered at 71–75 Shelton Street, London).

If you are another backer in the same position, I suggest keeping records of all communications and considering similar action.

I ordered a Shrooly in June 2023 and have received nothing but AI responses and generic text on timelines, which perpetually get bumped. The roll-out is haphazard, disorganized, confusing and communication is awful. I really wanted to see these guys succeed, but after years of non responses and no shipping timeline I believe that they don't intend to send me my unit.. In the event that Shrooly might read this my order is 3088. It seems no other forms of contact works, maybe a public complaint will? If anyone has advice on how to get a hold of these guys please let me know. I’ve filed an investigation through my credit card company and have reported them to UK trading standards. I’d highly recommend everyone else do the same and get these guys off the internet. Stop the scam. Signing off, extremely frustrated.

I was one of the bakers on Indiegogo. "Ordered" my device 12/24/22 (yes 2022!) Still nothing delivered, despite Shrooly selling devices on Amazon and promising 3-5 day delivery. They are rather selling to new customers than honoring the people who made all of this possible by early sponsoring this project. BAD BAD practice. I would never buy from them!

Follow the directions. Pay attention. It’s like any kind of gardening- you learn more as you go along. I think it’s rather fun and interesting to watch these mushrooms grow. Yes they taste amazing too. I would recommend it - 5 stars!

(UPDATE) In full honesty they did issue a quiet refund a few days after this review was posted.

Please please please do not buy it! I bought their machine 8 months ago, with the promise of being delivered in a few weeks. 8 months later still nothing. Asked for a refund and response! My take is that they should have been decent people when they started but by several mishaps they just don’t care anymore, any consideration for their customers is far gone by now.

Nice idea but unfortunately doesn’t seem to work. I’ve tried 3 pods now, two didn’t grow at all, 1 grew a tiny amount. The first 2 Shrooly declared as dud pods, the last one they said the issue is the ambient temperature was 1 degree too high. I guess this is reasonable but worth bearing in mind that it means you essentially can’t grow them for a lot of the summer at least in London where I live because periodically the temperature goes above 26C.

Also worth bearing in mind the machine is quite noisy because the fan is nearly constantly going. Certainly wouldn’t put it in a bedroom.

Now I can’t seem to reclaim any of the pods I’ve already purchased (I have 9 or 10) because there seems to be an issue on the website / with my account. I contacted them 5 days ago but no reply. Possibly the company is about to go bust and trying to save costs wherever? I hope not.

What a Joke.If you want to get ripped off. I ordered mine 12/23 and still have not received it. Now they don’t even answer emails as I was asking for a refund due to their ridiculous timeframes. I got screwed buyer beware.

Do not get involved with Shrooly, they will pick your pocket and disappear.
I purchased 18 pod credits, of which I've used only 4, so I went into my account for my next pods to find my credits have disappeared - Zero credits! I've messaged them to explain why they've disappeared but have had ZERO RESPONSE.

I ordered this as a Christmas present for my husband in 2024. The website stated the product would ship in 3 business days. When it didn’t ship, I contacted the company and was told that the shipping statement was a “glitch” on their website and the product was actually a preorder. I was then told shipping would start in February, so I remained hopeful.

I still have not received the product after many promises of being on priority schedule and that I should keep my eyes open for a confirmation email. I noticed the product for sale and in stock on Amazon and promptly contacted the company again, this time with no response back.

This is horrible service all around.
