Ordered a pod 2 years ago, still havnt received it, been advised 2 weeks ago that it has finally been posted, was given a Royal Mail tracking order and two weeks later still have not received the pod and nor has the Royal Mail !! Emailed the company on several occasions and they just do not respond - awful service

I ordered in March of 2023. I ordered 2 devices. Over $500 spent. 29 months later I have NOTHING but empty promises. I am ready to contact the FTC, Attorney General for State of Florida, where I am, and also the BBB. This company is a total scam. I can't believe I fell for it.

This is a flat scam.
I ordered two in 2023 with pods. One excuse after another from the “company”. Nothing but a sham. Stay away from these people.

Nicely designed device to grow mushrooms indoors with very little maintenance. It’s a whisper-quiet habitat.

Puchased Aug 2022 as original backer. They started fulfilling orders to US in March 2025. They didnt deliver to me until late June 2025. Worst customer service - you'll talk to a bot well before a human. Wait time for response is over a week. Shipping and fulfilling orders takes forever on pods and items. Pods constantly out of stock. All pods grew mold. What a waste of time and money. Avoid.

I, as well, am an early supporter of this company. I have received project updates with claims of shipping to the U.S. I had filled out the shipping address confirmation that was sent to my email. They know my email address and my home/shipping address. I have reached out to Shrooly through customer support with zero response. I will never back any company again. Indiegogo is garbage as well.

What a complete waste of money! Bought two pods, neither worked. DO NOT waste your time or money on this.

Easy, fast, fun and quick. Great mushroom, great taste! I love it!

Very happy with the first harvest!

I had given up hope on getting my Shrooly device as I was one of the early supporters. However, one day I finally got a shipping notice. The device itself is very cool and the directions easy to follow. My first harvest (pink oyster) was great! Unfortunately, I made the mistake of ordering two pods at once. My second pod sat for too long. So, I guess it’s a bit of a learning curve. I’m really looking forward to trying more varieties!

If I could give no stars I would. Still received no units or pods. They try to fob you off. Are not transparent . Please do not use this company, I am hundreds of pounds out of pocket.

I am an original backer. I’ve been waiting 2.5 years for my device and yet to receive it. The company states they have delays but are actively selling and shipping devices on their site and Amazon. Fraud and scam!

The system is a 5 star setup. I have grown two pods, and both were fantastic. Exactly as advertised. The interaction with the app is seamless, and the box looks great on the kitchen counter. The loss in stars is due to the lack of availability of mushroom pods. They advertise a decent selection, but they pods are never in stock the selection has been either pink oyster (currently out of stock) or lion's mane. Both are fine selections, but need more readily available options. Once that improves, five star all the way.

When ordered via their website our Shrooly arrived in about two weeks, which is more than fair considering we live in Finland.
Onboarding was fairly simple and soon we started the cultivation cycle of our very first mushroom (pink oyster).
The device itself looks really nice and looks great at the position we have it at. On top of that, navigation through the app is simple and has great help and tips regarding mushroom growing and some customization options (in-app but also regarding the inner lighting of the Shrooly box itself).
It’s is a lot of fun seeing the mushroom grow through all its cycles. After 4 days the mushroom really started to show and we could harvest it in about 7 days. What’s also fun and convenient is that the app suggest several recipes for the type of mushroom harvested.
I guess the only (really small) downside can be that you hear the humidifier motor going which can be very noticeable if you are always close to it. Having said that, the noice level is really very low and it really doesn’t bother us (we have it on the TV table so we can really observe the mushroom grow).
Now we are trying a second flush of the same pod. Fingers crossed that it succeeds.
So far really happy with our Shrooly!

As an experienced mushroom grower, I was super excited and curious about the Shrooly device, from the moment I first saw it online.
But reading all the negative reviews here about shipping problems and bad support made me very cautious and so I didn’t order one for a long time. But finally, when I heard that the shipping issue seemed to be resolved I eventually went ahead and got myself one. And I have to say: my experience has been really positive! The device was delivered within under a week (to Germany) and my first grow was a lot of fun! The first flush was great and I really enjoyed the whole process. I’m struggling a bit with the second flush, but I think that’s due to the current heat wave with temperatures beyond 25 degrees Celsius in the device-too much for the Reishi apparently.
I also really appreciated the support team checking in regularly and responding very quickly with tips on how to deal with the aforementioned issues with the second flush.
Now I can’t wait to try making my own pods and see how those work in the Shrooly device.

Now to my only ‘BUT’:
When I ordered the device, there were two options: ‘device only’ or ‘device with a free pod’. Of course I clicked on ‘the device with a free pod’, only to read in the checkout (on the PayPal website) that that option was connected to a subscription with a monthly pod delivery. I went back to read the whole Shrooly website and nowhere was it stated that by ordering the free pod you would sign up for the subscription model!
That I find is a really bad, unprofessional move on Shrooly’s side, because I feel scammed and in my eyes they’re damaging their reputation, just to make a few more bucks!
Dear Shrooly team, please trust in your really great product and win your customers over with superb quality and service, instead of using sketchy scammer tactics to push careless customers into a subscription model that they might not want!
Then you’ll get five stars from me!

I ordered a Shrooly in September 2023 and, almost a year later, I have still not received the product.

They continue to post vague updates and promise shipping dates that come and go with no accountability. Meanwhile, my emails get generic replies — if they even bother to respond.

It’s clear they prioritized newer European orders while early customers like me are left hanging. At this point, I’ve lost confidence I will ever receive what I paid for.

I would strongly caution anyone considering purchasing from Shrooly: this feels like a company that overpromises, underdelivers, and simply does not care once they have your money.

Only on my first pod, but everything was straightforward to set up. The app could be improved. The mushrooms are growing as expected, and I am happy with my purchase. I will keep growing.

I just had unboxed my Shrooly and 2 pods, and found 1 pod had a cut in the bag. I was impressed with the responsiveness and I had a fresh pod replacing it in no time, with very little friction. The Shrooly itself has been working great!

I discovered Shrooly through their Instagram ads and decided to try it out when I saw a great discount on their website. I bought my first Shrooly device along with an Elm Oyster pod, and the experience has been really exciting! The instructions were clear and easy to follow, and the device itself is very well built, easy to set up, use, and clean. I also love the clean design.

My first harvest was a partial success—unfortunately, a heatwave hit during the growing process, and the device correctly notified me that the temperature was too high for my mushrooms. I couldn't move it to a cooler spot in time, but it was still fascinating to watch the mushrooms grow in such a compact device.

Shipping has been impressively fast; both my orders arrived within 1 or 2 days. I’ve just bought my second pod (Pioppino) and can’t wait to see how it goes!

The only downside for me is the Android app, which crashes quite often and doesn’t send notifications when the water level is low. I have to check the built-in display on the device instead, but since all functions are available directly on the Shrooly, the app is just a nice extra.

Customer support has been quick to respond, and it’s clear the creators really care about their product. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase and would rate Shrooly 4 out of 5 stars, mainly due to the app issues. Looking forward to growing more mushrooms!
