Shurgard Self Storage - South Croydon Opiniões 

The initial sign up at the South Croydon facility went smooth and the rep was courteous. When I decided to end my contract the customer care was appalling. Completely unscrupulous behaviour.,
Although I had stated in writing that I wanted to end my contract and was advised of the date to do so to avoid further payments

I emptied the unit well before that date and was contacted by a rep from another site offering me a better deal. No one from the South Croydon branch contacted me in relation to my request to end the contract.,I asked the rep from the Purley way branch and he told me to keep the keys. There was nothing about keeping the unit open and did not explain the proper close of account procedure. I am not sure if these guys are on commission.so withold information. . In fairness to him he was from another site. A rep from your South Croydon branch called in August about payment and I explained I had emptied my uniit and ended my contract. He failed to explain the correct closing procedure and merely told me I needed to keep the unit open. This was the first telephone call I had from the South Croydon branch since requesting to end my contract.
I went into the office today because I kept getting emails about payment. He was the same person who called me demanding payment.

As part of customer care he could have explained the correct process over the phone and the consequences but withheld information telling me when I went in that it is in the small print in the brown envelope. That was poor service from him and the South Croydon branch. This may be part of the training given to extract money from customers.

It I am actually appalled by this service and this rep’s behaviour and the general post service customer care.

His manner was cow boyish.

Poor instructions meant that my first visit was abortive. I did not realise that using the app was an imperative and that the keypads are effectively obsolete.

The Staff - Nic and Matthew (South Croydon) - were a pleasure to deal with.

This place is a joke!

I was handed my notice to leave the storage unit after Shurgard told me there was food in my unit. Upon further questioning, I asked for evidence of the food found as the branch workers advised the decision would not have been made based off a suspicion. After calling for near enough a week for an update, as the manager was on holiday and the images were in his personal phone, I was then told there was in fact no evidence of food found in my unit. The manager told me point blank “Well we don’t actually need proof, as long as we suspect it, we can do as we wish!”

I then moved my stuff out of storage by the agreed date and had email confirmation to prove so! They have since charged me for the new month even though my contract has been terminated and for a cleaning fee! Luckily I recorded the unit before I left.

How did I come to find out about these additional charges you may ask? A debt collection letter!! Shurguard did not even have the decency to inform me that I had an overdue balance, they just sent me an email thanking me for my custom.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced and will continue to shout it from the roof tops!

**BEWARE**

I was alerted to the fact that the drivers had dumped a mattress without my knowledge or consent by a a member of staff that spoke down on me in an obnoxious manner . Threatening me and insisted on conducting a monologue not allowing me the chance to speak and rectify the situation . It left me upset so thanks for that Shurgaurd
