I had never heard of Sims tropical fish
found them on Google so I went to have a look
They have a wide variety of fish of different sizes I was looking for discus and some strains I had only seen in books I ended up buying 4 discus and I will definitely be going back for some more the guy in the shop couldn't have been any more helpful and helpful worked with me to find what I wanted

I paid £120 for a live fish order, £30 for insured delivery.

From this entire order I have received six coral platy only.

The zebra loaches all arrived dead.
The black guppies, which were the main fish I ordered, were missing entirely.

The delivery arrived with only a couple of heat patches taped inside the box and the water was extremely cold.
For a “live fish specialist” this packaging was completely inadequate and clearly contributed to the losses.

I was promised replacements for the following Wednesday.
I stayed in all day and received no delivery and no update.
The next day a delivery arrived without checking my availability, again missing the black guppies, and the replacement zebra loach died within an hour.

After this, I was told my full order would be refunded.

So far I have received £24 only, despite being promised a full refund of £120.

Instead of resolving this properly, I was offered a 20% discount code as “goodwill” for a full day wasted, dead fish, missed deliveries and no communication.

Communication has been poor, delivery dates were not honoured, and the “insured delivery” I paid £30 for was meaningless.

I am left with six fish, no refund, and a week of stress and disruption to my tank.

This is by far the worst online fish purchase I have ever experienced.

And now I have to waste more time and contact my bank Monday to reclaim my money back

Unfortunately this is not accurate. I was not contacted before delivery to say any items were out of stock, and I did not receive any voicemail, missed calls or emails.

The first order was wrong and I was understanding, as you agreed to resolve this. I was told the replacement would be delivered the following Wednesday, but I heard nothing and had to contact you again. I was then told it would be Thursday, after I had already stayed in all day waiting.

A partial order was then sent without warning, and it was incorrect again.

I only received the full refund after leaving this review.

I have no issue with stock delays, only with the lack of communication and repeated incorrect shipments.

I have ordered fish on two occasions now. Fish were well packaged and delivery fast and timely. On both occasions fish arrived alive and appeared healthy. Unfortunately on the second occasion however, I received two wrong fish. I raised this with Sims and they agreed the fish were wrong and refunded me and said I could the fish and would find out what fish were sent. Despite the mishap, I will buy from Sims again.

Good communication replied to all my enquiries delivery was great.The fish were fine very healthy cost a little more than some sites but you get what you pay for top quality fish would use again.

I have used Sims a few times to purchase fancy goldfish. They have always delivered on time. Most of the fish have been superb but if any are not as ordered they have replaced immediately. Jim in customer service has been great 😃👍

I had an absolutely amazing experience with Sims. Although the live fish I originally ordered was out of stock, their team reached out to me immediately and clearly explained my options, including waiting or substituting with catfish or another fish. I changed my mind a few times during the process, and every single interaction was handled with patience, kindness, and professionalism. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. I can honestly say I’ve never received this level of customer service anywhere else. Highly recommended!

i brought 10 fish from sims and they all came healthy and good quality i would highly recommend sims to everyone they are very helpful and all round trustworthy place to perches your fish

After receiving the wrong fish a few times due to genuine mistakes, Simstropicalfish went above and beyond to put things right. They stayed in touch throughout, kept me updated when they really didn’t have to, and were consistently helpful and patient. In the end they got it right, and the fish I received are absolutely beautiful and very healthy. They even let me keep the fish that were sent by accident, which are now part of the family. Small businesses like this deserve support — they genuinely care about their customers and their fish, and I’m well happy. Highly recommended!

Must admit at first i was worried getting fish delivered , was worried any would be dead on arrival , but had 3 orders now on diffrent days and all have been perfect . Packaged well delivered on day you choose - really impressed and the fish was 100 percent better than i thought i would get colours are great and within a hour of being in the tank it was like they had always been , thanks guys especially jimmy

Received my order this morning which consisted of a pair of Apistogramma, an L134 Pleco and 10x tetra.

Fish arrived in a very clean and tidy looking polystyrene box which had insulation wrap as well as heat packs inside, water temp on arrival was 18c which I think is good going considering it’s December so well done on packaging.

No fish in the box were DOA or especially washed out/stressed so again very pleased with the packaging care and quality.

I had a phone conversation with a lad at Sims to confirm and alter some stuff and he was helpful, efficient and friendly so customer experience also very good.

Fish quality looks great, the tetra are a decent size and the pleco is stunning, excited to see the Apistos when they colour up.

Very happy customer and I will return for other fish in the future.

I have been using sims tropical fish for a good few years now and the service and the info is always top notch.The fish have always been in good condition and very healthy.I will continue to use sims they are always very helpful

Should have looked here before i used em.lol hope ypu STAY WELL AWAY 1 week late 3 diffrent delivery dates ...shit show ... think its run by kids tfying to make some cash DO NOT USR
