Hi there, great customer service and awesome to get some free goodies... I was however a little disappointed as I have had braces before and all I wanted fixed was a very small and minor front teeth gap no bigger than this ll. I was disappointed as this would cost me the full price of $3335 when I would only need one/two top retainers total (my bottom teeth have a wire already) the one last option I had to fix my teeth is literally $3335 for one retainer??? I’m confused why arnt there different deals?

It was an extremely pleasurable experience. I was really nervous and embarrassed going in but the consultant made me feel so comfortable and at ease, and she really made me SMILE !

Please DO NOT use this company as tempting as it may seem.
It’s cheaper because the product is inferior (you get what you pay for) and the customer service is a joke.
You have been warned, do not use guys!!

My initial visit in Auckland was really good - great customer service and amazing technology. My aligners arrived pretty quick and I think they are working. I am, however, beginning to have my concerns. I asked for nighttime aligners but was given 24 hour aligners instead (to be fair I did not ask SmileDirect to correct this and I'm just going with it). It also appears if you are outside the US, you cannot buy any accessories such as the tooth whitening treatment (which makes the tooth whitening system they give you redundant). I'm not sure about this though - when I submitted an online query, SmileDirect took 20 days to get back to me (not 24 hours) and didn't really answer my questions. I also think the visa card is not that easy to use - I'm not sure I will bother redeeming it. Let's hope the aligners work exactly as they are meant to (and I think they might); otherwise I might be in for some trouble.

I went through the process of a 6 month set of aligners that seemed to be okay! I never had my midway check in, until I reached out to the company to ask if they could please review my photos, which seemed odd. Somehow though things went okay and I don't think I've done any damage to my teeth, but I wouldn't recommend the service as it certainly isn't as well tracked and dentist monitored as they present it. I've just received my second set of retainers and the bottom piece is completely incorrectly made. It falls out immediately and clearly is not fitted to my teeth at all. The back (inside of the teeth) piece doesn't even appear to have indents at all - it's just a clear piece of plastic. I am not confident in the quality or accuracy of the process used if this sort of retainer was sent to me. There is no way the dentist would approve this as something meant to fit my teeth.

So I got a 3d scan for straightening n a free whitening kit. I was pleased with my stay very good staff n attitude

I had originally ordered the impression kit online to do at home, unfortunately I had ordered this just before Christmas when we are all super busy and did not make time to complete it. I then received an email for a free appointment so chose to book one. As i arrived I met Tess, super friendly and made me feel very welcome. I was blown away with my 3D scan, very cool!!! Everything was explained thoroughly, I am so excited to be starting my smile direct journey. I had also returned my unused kit, to which they refunded my money without me even asking!! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to better their smile 😁

Today I was a bit nervous and skeptical, not too sure why I just was :/ but Nicole was really understanding of where I was coming from with my teeth situation lol she was very thorough in explaining the whole process and what smiledirect is all about which put me at ease and now I’m excited to receive the aligners and start this journey. Even after posting negative feedback here in October, and a commitment to resolving my issues, there has been no progress.

I began my journey at the beginning of 2020 and was supposed to have finished in August, In April I found that my aligners were not fitting and began contact with SDC to remedy this. Essentially, I was supposed to have finished my course by now and be in retainers.

However, they stopped responding to my emails. I sent daily emails for week after over a month of silence. I was told I would need to do an impression kit - which was fine, but the kit was delayed due to Covid, which I accepted at the time.

When it finally arrived, I sent it back within the stated timeframes. Then they went silent again. After constant emails from my end, they finally told me the kit arrived late at their end which delayed the process. Then silence.

I made a negative review on this site and seemed to get quick action. But after completing another impression kit - silence. For another month.

If you go through the Smile Direct Process you will find that you are dealing with multiple customer service representatives. It appears that your customer profile is never referenced when they are dealing with you, and you will have to repeat your requests over and over again.

This has resulted in SDC telling me, after further chasing from my end, that I need to complete a third impression kit. No reference to the ones I had already sent back to them. Just "start again".

I am living with pain, a misaligned jaw due to my teeth not sitting correctly, and am experiencing headaches and neck tension.

Please, go to a dentist or orthodontist if you would like to straighten your teeth. This process for me has been financially and physically a waste of time.
