Just try cancelling... lol

I ordered these (gloves) around midnight and immediately changed my mind. The only way to cancel was via email so I did that minutes later. In the morning I got a response saying they already shipped (total crap). Brian could have stopped the order, but chose not to. Not terribly customer focused IMO. What is worse, they are the wrong size. My mistake or theirs? Either way, they are going back.

Needs better description and what is or isn't included!

Description could be better. It didn't come with a charger or battery pack. I got a battery pack just in case. Had to pay more shipping to get a charger. None of ours fit it. Does run small. You wear it over a light weight shirt then layer your outer garments so my husbands was ok. It had NO directions with it. We will see how good it is after he wears it hunting and after it has been washed.

Crooked company

Crooked company! All they care about are profits and nothing else. They don’t honor or uphold their products to any standard. I attempted to exchange sizes of gloves with them and they tried selling me more gloves and did not honor the exchange.

As others have stated, customer service is horrendous. Was gifted a vest and power bank. Did not care for the vest and asked if I could receive store credit. No. They told me they could credit the gifter 30% of the price of the vest + power bank and I could give the vest to someone else.
After asking if I could exchange it for the heated gloves they agreed, but I had to return the vest (i had to pay the postage) and call them with the tracking number. They immediately, charged the original purchaser for the gloves. Vest has been returned but I have not seen credit on my credit card. Buyer beware!

While vest did charge it did not hold a charge so there was no heating in the vest. That said the vest is quite warm.

Sizing is very strange- I usually like…

Sizing is very strange- I usually like longer items but this one is too long - also does not heat at all. Very disappointing. Bought 4 of them now I want to apologize for the gifts for Christmas.

The vests I bought as Christmas gifts…

The vests I bought as Christmas gifts didn't work! The customer service was of no use. And to top it off I had to pay to send back the defective items! I was told to call when I had a tracking number and I'd be reimbursed. Did that...what no one mentioned is that I need to see when it arrives, call back and then I will be reimbursed. UGH!

Beware!

Beware!! This is a scam … they rope you in with false information in the ordering process. Then when I realized immediately and tried to cancel my order within 5 minutes after purchase I was unable to do so.

I really should have read the horrible reviews online. I will be more careful in the future.

This review should be zero stars. Do not purchase from them go to Amazon. Purchased a vest which by the way does not come with power bank good thing I thought I was ordering an extra. Vest did not heat as directions indicated. Emailed Solana they sent a new power bank still vest not going to preheat so I call to return and had disputed it. I was told take dispute off and return vest. So I returned vest my cost for a defective item 82 emails later they still will not refund me. After this review you will see comments they have posted how they are here to help same emails I keep getting back they will not provide my bank with a current dispute still open on their end. They send me a screen shot the same one no current date etc. They have been sent from our Credit card the dispute has been resolved to refund us. They claim they have not gotten it even I sent them a copy in an email. Solana is a COMPETE SCAM. I hope this saves you our daughter is still without a heated vest for Christmas because I cannot afford another until I get refund from this! I have been at this since November 16 with company !

I would not recommend these

I would not recommend these. I ordered a small vest, which didn't fit, so ordered XS. They shipped an XL. Clearly their mistake. I sent a picture as well. They are still charging me to ship this back!!! Why should I have to pay the shipping cost when it was THEIR FAULT!!! If I could put 0 for a review I would.

Disappointed so far.

I ordered both the thermal gloves and the heated vest for my husband for Christmas.
The XL gloves are too short, and the vest didn’t hold a charge. Vest doesn’t fit well for the money spent, and it didn’t come with a power unit to charge the vest. It certainly should have! I called customer support and he agreed to send me a power unit for $2.10. I’m still waiting for it too arrive. Your ad for these products is very misleading! I will be more careful in the future.

I really should’ve read the reviews…

I really should’ve read the reviews first I don’t understand why it’s only heated in the back and not in the front not very happy with the vests I really thought they’d be a lot better and I really thought the company would be on top of all this for how much you’re paying for the vest it should be a lot better it was Christmas gifts and I feel like a little schmuck, but not getting them sooner to try them out to see how poorly they were made

CUstomer service was very accommodating…

CUstomer service was very accommodating in crediting the one vest that didn't fit. Unisex item, not listed as such. Battery pack needs frequent charging, may need to buy one from amazon or Walmart. Vest is comfortable however does not seem to get as warm after two weeks (yes the battery is charges)

Scam Return Policy

My father purchased three heated vests from Solana Gear as Christmas gifts. Unfortunately, one of the vests was ordered in the wrong size. This didn’t seem like a big risk because their website advertises a “30-Day Money Back Guarantee,” and their FAQ also states a “90-day money-back guarantee” if the wrong size is ordered. However, this information is incomplete and misleading.
While Solana Gear does offer a refund, customers are required to ship the item back to their PO Box, and the cost to return the vest is $30 when the original price of the vest was $47.99. This significant return cost is not clearly disclosed upfront.
Because the return shipping is so expensive, Solana Gear instead offers customers the option to keep the vest at 30% off and purchase a replacement at 30% off. In our case, even though my dad had ordered three vests, when I agreed to keep the oversized vest and reorder the correct size, they charged $59.99 for the replacement- more than the original price, despite the supposed discount.
This experience felt dishonest and extremely frustrating. Solana Gear’s return policy is a total scam, poorly disclosed, and far from the risk-free guarantee advertised. Buyer beware- what sounds like a money-back guarantee is anything but.

Bought for my husband for Christmas. He wore it and I wore it. Works great!!! Runs a little small but still fits.
Directions could be a little bigger. Had to use a magnifier to read it.

SADLY, DISAPPOINTING COMPANY AND MERCHANDISE

The vest was sent and received. The vest zipper was not operating as it should. I contacted Customer Service at that time. I explained the zipper was not working and requested an exchange. The minute you say exchange; they will NOT pay return shipping. Shame on this company for not making good on faulty merchandise unless the customer pays to send the defective item back at their expense.
