I didn't want to leave a bad review, but had no choice. I signed up to a solar PV and battery package in Dec 2025 (and paid the deposit) and was promised an installation mid-January. It is now end of March and there is still radio silence on installation dates. I have been calling almost daily and all I get is that the operator can only take a message and they will escalate it. No one has called me back on installation dates. I am getting worried as 1 May is fast approaching (and with it a reduction in the subsidies for larger battery systems). Very bad service.

The worst experience with a service company ever. Signed up for battery and panels in November. They said 4-6 weeks. 20 weeks later after dozens of calls I have nothing. I have als missed the battery rebate as a result. Worst company I have ever dealt with

Paid for batteries and they were not installed and no refund. They do not return calls. Terrible service. Have to now spend more to take legal action to get refund.

Avoid at all costs. Bunch of unreliable and unprofessional team and close to being scammers. Cheaper but definitely not worth the fake savings. You will pay more in the end with frustration, poor or bad job and bad service (before and after installation). Been waiting for over 3 months and still no installation. They keep cancelling the job and never informing me until I call. I took so many days off on their promised installation dates but in the end, nothing ever happened. 4 cancellations... Also charged my credit card without my authorisation. After so many blunders and hours spent on the phone to like 7 different people who do not communicate amongst themselves and give empty promises, I want to pull out of this misery. But they won't answer my calls anymore and won't pay me back my deposit. Ah also, most of their staff are rude and just want your cash. You might be the lucky few that get an okay job but the rest of the us (majority), can relate to what i say here. Go read actual reviews on Solar Choice website which shows an unbiased take on them. Most of the 5 star reviews here are actually done by Solar Power Nation on behalf of the customers - so they are unreliable.

I am sharing my experience with you because I want others to make an informed decision before using Solar Power Nation for there solar battery installs. The sales process was awkward but in the end straightforward and payment was taken promptly. However, after installation of my 20kW battery system in November 2025, significant issues emerged. My electricity bills increased from approximately $250 to over $600, and the inverter was consistently reporting household consumption at around 6kW — a figure that was clearly inconsistent with our actual usage.
Despite raising these concerns multiple times, I received repeated generic responses advising the matter was being looked into due to its “complex nature,” with no meaningful progress for weeks.
The installation was later inspected by Western Power and failed compliance. Only after that corrective notice was issued did installers attend to address the issues. During that visit, adjustments were made and the system was reset. Immediately after the reset, the reported household consumption dropped from around 6kW to approximately 640 watts, strongly indicating the system had not been correctly configured or commissioned prior to that point.
Based on the sequence of events, it appears the system was not operating correctly from the outset, which may have contributed to the significantly higher electricity costs.
I am now formally pursuing reimbursement for the additional electricity charges incurred while the system was operating incorrectly.
This is simply my documented experience. I would encourage anyone considering this company to carefully review all documentation, monitor system performance closely, and ensure compliance inspections are completed and passed if you use Solar Power Nation as your supplier.

Installed 6.6kw system in 2021, very quick to install and take money. No issues until the inverter failed mid 2025, Growatt, with a 10 year warrenty. Have been trying to get repairs but get a standard email "This is to inform you that we are in contact with our team regarding your request. Kindly wait while we look into the matter — we will provide you with an update soon. We truly appreciate your patience" the contractors have been from sick to overseas and all sorts of excuses but no interest in helping. Been trying since 07/25 till 02/26 and now contacted the office of fair trading

Absolutely unacceptable experience with National Solar.
I paid my deposit after being promised my solar system would be installed within the first month. It has now been 2 months and I still have no confirmed installation date, no clear communication at all, and no accountability from this company.
I have made repeated attempts to contact them for updates. Every time I am told someone will call me back the same day or that my issue will be “actioned” and it never happens. I have spent weeks chasing basic information that should have been provided without me having to constantly follow up.
Taking a customer’s deposit and then failing to communicate or deliver within the promised timeframe is extremely unprofessional and has completely destroyed my confidence in this company.
I guess just add this unsatisfied google review with the rest of them wish I looked this up before paying deposit

Put down a $300 deposit 27th December 2025 with the understanding I was able to cancel if is not what I require with some more research, told this fine.
Emailed 6th January 2026 to cancel and ask if they required my bank details, no answer, called 2 times and told message would be sent to accounts team and I would hear back, no communication at all. Sent 2 more emails regarding cancellation and refund, still no response.
I contacted QLD Consumer Complaints, this is a good start but might take a long time.
Solution was to lodge a dispute with my credit card company 14th January and by the 27th January company had returned my deposit. Keep a record of all communications as you will need this for your card provider disputes process. Solar Power Nation had done the refund on their own accord but after my card provider had contacted them. I then informed My card provider so they did not keep following up, hopefully this may be helpful to any others trying to get a refund etc.... I recommend DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY, no communication if there is an issue from my experience.

SPN took my $500 deposit then stopped returning calls and emails this went on from 07/25 to 01/26.
I contacted the OFFICE OF FAIR TRADING and they got me my $500 back in 2 weeks after i had been trying for 6 months.The person who got my $500 back was Dianne Cassillis.

I strongly advise potential clients to proceed with caution before engaging with this company. Despite initial assurances that previous negative reviews were outdated or resolved, my experience has unfortunately confirmed those concerns. I have currently been waiting for five months with no resolution and no clear explanation for the delay. The communication has been unreliable, and the promises made during the initial consultation have not been met. Based on the lack of support and the discrepancy between their sales pitch and actual service, I cannot recommend their services.

Installation went ok, except they tried to charge me twice.
After sales service is apalling. My solar stopped working after 3 years. I’ve been chasing them up for the last 3 months and they keep saying there is no technicians in the area. I got a quote for a local person to fix the problem and sent them the quote. It’s been over a month and after many phone calls and emails have heard nothing.

Absolute scam!! Paid $500 deposit on the 4th of August 2025. By the end of September there was no progress and the company said I would get a refund. It is now December 10 and I have no refund. The company will not reply to my emails and will hang up the phone when I call. I’ve now had to go to consumer protection to assist in retrieving my funds back. Beyond a joke how a company like this can be operational.

Took my money for a solar panel and battery install they promissed to install in 4-6 weeks been 3 months now and still nothing now they saying january will be 4 months wait for a simple install most pathetic company around never again

Scam alert! They took my deposit for a battery system and, soon after receiving the money, they stopped answering my calls and responding to my emails. They used to call me using a Sydney number, but their callers are definitely overseas-based. I should have picked up on that warning sign. My money is gone, and I don’t want anyone else falling into this trap. I’ll be reporting this to the ACCC and state consumer protection authorities.

If you value honesty, reliability, and communication, I urge you to stay far away from this company.

Their team initially confirmed an installation date weeks ago. No one showed, not even a call to let us know that they weren't coming. Since then, I have been misled on every occasion, repeatedly assured they would follow up, only to be left hanging every time. About 19 emails and phone calls—often ignored or met with inaccurate promises of calling back and even hang-ups It’s impossible to get anyone to respond.

This is not just a scheduling issue. This is a company that disregards its own customers and basic service commitments. If this is how they treat customers before the job is even started, I can only imagine the nightmare if anything ever goes wrong with the install or system.

Do yourself a favour and find another provider that actually values your time, communication, and trust. I wish I had known—don’t make the same mistake I did.

I paid a $500 deposit on a 20kw battery and inverter in July. $6499 quote. Still waiting for installation of batteries. Salesman was Steve Smith (should have stuck to cricket) , always has an excuse for a delay and never gets back to you. I will give them till end November and try and recoup deposit.

Ive dealt with this Company before and it wasnt too bad. Not great but not too bad.
However, when things go bad they seem to go really bad.
On the back of the Australian Federal Governments Solar Battery incentives i completed an Order with Solar Power Nation.
That was several Months ago and now with still no installation it is impossible to even talk to someone about it.
They have a Call Centre who flatly refuses to transfer you to a Manager or any human who can discus the situation.
They pronise to take a message and get someone to call back but they NEVER do.
This is what you call being Stonewalled.
Come in Solar Power Nation just do the right thing for your customers.
If you cant supply the goods and services offer a reasonable resolution or simply offer a refund but dont leave your customers in the dark and refuse to talk with them.
Frankly after this experience with this Company i wouldnt even let them atep foot on the property.

PLEASE STAY AWAY THIS COMPANY IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE A NEXT VICTIM. This only one off service.
I am going to submit the building commission complaint letter to Fair Trade NSW.
For those whom victims of this company please together submit the complaint to Fair Trade to stop this fraud business. It is scam.
I have solar power installed 2 years ago. It was working fine and have no issue with them at all but when the issue happened. I was shocked about this company. They have terrible after sale service. I couldn’t believe as how this company still exist in Australia as so ashamed. I have been waited for 7 weeks still not give me any ETA when the issue will be finalised. I kept calling them and Sarah advised me that she scheduled one of your installer coming to me property on the 25/10/2025 and we stayed home whole day waiting and no one showed up and no explanation.
On the 31/10/2025 I spoke to Hayley.T . She advised me that she will share my contact to Atif will contact me on the weekend and again no one called me.
On the 3/11/2025 Sarah emailed me repeated of what I have been told.
On the 5/11/25 I emailed Hayley asking for advised and have received nothing from her.
I got the local electrician came to my property to check and he found out that main switch for inverter burned out and advised to get replacement cost $250 +GST. I told him I just need a quote to get approval from your company first then I will get back to him but he told me he will charge me double for coming back it means i need to pay $500 plus GST.
So I just have it replaced and discussed with Sarah.T on the next day and she confirmed me that your company won’t process any payment. She told that all installers in your company are fully scheduled for the jobs and she has contacted someone outside her company so get verbal quote of $150 for doing my job but not booked him yet.
I negotiated with her as if it is a case then request your company to pay my local electrician $150 same amount of your quote and I am happy to pay the different but she still rejected it.
And later she emailed me told me that she already scheduled someone coming on Wed but didn’t state which date and not sure as it is going to happen or have a repeat as the 25/10/2025.
I told her if it this the case that we are not followed your company’s rules then I will request my local electrician to take the one have been replace off and put the burned out main switch back as beginning and get someone to come to my property to fix it but still rejected it. She emailed me that the schedule has been cancelled.
There is no issued to be solved and no negotiation to your company.
My solar it will under warranty as workmanship and installation 5+5 years warranty and now I have to get it done on my end and paid out of my pocket.
