Aussie Solar Batteries have been a complete debacle and a huge waste of time - especially with the government rebate deadline approaching.

I signed a contract for a battery installation, only to be told a couple of weeks later—completely out of the blue—that my contract had been terminated because they supposedly didn’t have installers available. Strangely, on the very same day, they encouraged me to refer my neighbour, claiming they had more installation capacity.

When I questioned this contradiction, their explanation kept changing. First it was an installer shortage, then suddenly it became a vague “compliance issue.” Their compliance team hadn’t even viewed the photos provided via WhatsApp, and despite repeated requests, they refused to explain what the actual issue was. Eventually, they changed their story again and claimed it was due to an “installer capacity issue.”

Now around a month later they contacted my neighbour, who never even signed a contract, offering to proceed with an installation.

The whole experience felt disorganised, inconsistent, and completely lacking in transparency. I wouldn’t recommend them if you value your time or want a straightforward, honest process.

I hope this is the right company. I’m writing a review for.

They tried to call me apparently, but I had no missed calls
Turns out that was from a different number
They tried to claim that they were referred by another person that I was dealing with which they weren’t
They made inappropriate and unprofessional comments in the texts because I hadn’t called them back (comments about my business and my professional professionalism).
Honestly, so aggressive and so rude I wouldn’t deal with these people.

Great product, great staff. Easy transaction.
i had a look at the reviews here and its funny how the negative reviews on this company are not actually for the product they sell. Trust pilot you might need to fix that.

This business is a scam. Take your money and don’t deliver, Connor be contacted. DON’T attempt to buy from them.

Aussie Batteries sell Chinese garbage.
I bought 2 x 330ah giant 12v Batteries. One died after a year or barely using it. The second died after 18 months.
I bought a bank of 4 x 6v 550ah Batteries to run a 24v system. Worked ok for about 2 months and is now not holding a charge.
Their Batteries are over rated. The 330ah batteries were probably 220ah at best. The guy from battery world told me they are crap. They test them under a tiny load to give them a higher rating. He said he sees dozens of them come in and fail the load test.
Wheni purchased the batteries, they said in stock. They were not. I had to wait almost 3 months to receive them. They probably order them from China after you purchase them and have them sent to you after they are transported half way around the world.
Their pro rata warranty just gives you credit to buy more dodgy batteries from them. While you wait for replacements to be sent out you will have no power. Don't buy a bank like I did as you won't know which one is stuffed. They weigh a lot so taking them for testing is a pain. The 330ah weights 70kg. The 6v almost as much. I'll be seeking a full refund on all batteries and buying a reputable brand lithium battery.

Do not buy from this company. Because if you have an issue with a battery, try to make a warranty claim. They will stonewall you until the end of time. They asked you to perform a test to confirm if there was an issue. If you perform the test and the batteries are found to be faulty or not holding their charge, they will ask for set-up pictures. Which you will send, showing nothing is wrong with the setup. They will then stone-wall you. They have advised that they would organise the return of two faulty batteries. I am still waiting for this to happen after a month. You will be kind and respectful when asking for updates, but you will just get excuses. After googling, I have found I am not alone in being stoned by this company.

I do not recommend Aussie Batteries & Solar, andwill never deal with them again.
I was sucked in by their good price, terrific 5 year warranty and wanted to support a "Proud Australian Company". They have demonstrated to me that they have nothing to be proud of.
I bought 2x140 Ah 12 Volt Giant Power Deep Cycle AGM Batteries and as they were not used on heavy loads I did not detect that one of the batteries was either faulty at the start or had developed a fault.
My initial inquiry was promptly answered. As the Company had requested, I submitted a battery test report from an independent testing station. This report very clearly stated that the battery had FAILED the test, and it showed that my 140 Ah battery was only able to deliver 57 Ah.
The Technical Team had shown that they did not have sufficient knowledge and understanding by firstly not being able to assess the test report data and thereby wrongly concluding that the battery was actually in good condition and had, in their opinion, passed the test, and secondly inferring that the test results were invalid because the testresults were for a Lead Acid Battery and not for an AGM battery, as if the test procedure and intrumentation used are somehow different which of course, they are not as both batteries are fundementally Lead Acid type. I finally asked for full refund, NOT a pro-rata warranty refund because a pro-rata warranty does not comply with the Australian Consumer Protection Law.
After asking for a full refund that is when this "Proud Australian Company" showed their true colours and dropped me like a hot potato.They have not even had the common courtesy of responding to my request and in fact I have not heard from them since.
I have lodged a complaint against this Company with the ACCC.
BUYER BEWARE - if you should ever need to ask for a refund from this Company then I wish you luck as in my case I could not even get a reply to my several messages.

The customer service is great and they helped me setup my power supply.

Bit hard to find the new location but once there the staff were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, saw one of them spot for a customer in the carpark who'd got himself in a pinch towing a huge boat. Their prices are great and my pro-rata batteries took a pounding on a recent trip - replaced within a week of contacting the company and now installed in my F150.

A flawless Aussie company

I am surprised to see some of the reviews here, and wonder if they are genuine. I bought two AGM 260 Ah batteries from Aussie Batteries five years ago as house batteries for our boat and have very happy with their ongoing performance. We had a power failure during recent storms and the batteries ran down for 10 days until they shut down. I ordered new batteries from Aussie to replace them and while waiting, the batteries recharged to their original state and I cancelled the new ones for a full refund without any hassle. They are now my preferred supplier

Purchased battery charger that failed after 1 month and they offered a pro rata refund ( And this was after a lot of back and forth ) ... Terrible customer service and even worse product...

Purchased a 170Ah lithium battery September 2021. It was not lasting long in my new caravan so I finally removed it & Had it tested by an independent testing centre. They determined the battery was only 56Ah.
I spent weeks trying to put in claim with Aussie Batteries who finally agreed i could send it back to them & if it was faulty i'd get a refund.
After 3 weeks i contacted them to ask about my refund. They informed me they would return the battery to me that day as they had apparently fixed it by replacing all the cells. I asked for a refund as I did not want one of their cheap under rated batteries again.
They offered me a pro-rata refund with a deduction for the period I had the battery.
The battery has a 5yr warranty & after 18mths was holding less than 56ah, this is a major fault. The consumer guarantees act says they must provide me with a full refund or replacement for a major fault & cannot make deductions such as for time of use.
Their warranty terms as stated on their website are in breach of fair trading. I will be reporting them to the ACCC & taking it to the office of fair trading qcat for my refund & compensation if they do not refund my purchase price in full.
If you buy a battery from them I recommend you get it tested. I've spoken with several people who have had major issues with their Batteries from these guys and read all the reviews. Many people with same issues. If you have a faulty battery from these guys. Good luck. Their customer service is shocking. They are impossible to ge a hold of on the phone & they find excuses not to put in a warranty claim. I have been waiting over 6weeks. Do not accept a pro rata refund. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO A FULL REFUND.
The giant Batteries come with a 5yr warranty. If it develops a major fault you have a right to replacement or full refund. Consumer guarantees take precedent over any false warranty claims that this company states on the Web site

In response to your reply: how could I have been rude to your cs over the phone when non of the calls I made to your company were ever answered & no one returned any of the 4 voice messages i left.
My off grid system was installed by a professional caravan auto electrician so no I did not install it myself like you've stated.
Prior to it being installed in March this year it was never used & only kept in my home connected to a ctek lithium charger, so had the battery been faulty prior, this was never noticed until it was under load in my caravan & not holding a charge or lasting as long as it was supposed to.

I made 6 attempts to ask for a warranty claim & kept getting excuses that there was no fault with my battery. How did you know it wasn't faulty when you refused to acknowledge the issues. It was only 4 weeks later after i sent an email demanding for my warranty to be dealt within 7 days that you finally requested I send back the battery & gave me the address.

I NEVER refused to send back the battery.
The battery was sent back on 10th May & on the 30th I emailed to enquire as to the progress of my clsim & was told you had replaced all the cells as the battery was faulty. So yes you did receive the battery & had the opportunity to access it & deem it was faulty.

I am not happy & have made it clear in writing that i was not happy to accept a pro rata refund.
The fact your business has ignored this & have gone ahead anyway & paid me a pro rata refund, not in good faith, but as an attempt to disregard my requests & bully me out of my consumer rights. I'm not going to walk away & let a business that treats its customers the way you've treated me get away with it.
I believe I have a right under the consumer guarantees to a full refund and will be putting in an order for a hearing through QCAT
And I hope other customers who've are going through this same ordeal join me & don't give in to your bullying tactics.

Beware scam site aussiebattery.com.au (not this one with plural "batteries"). I bought what I thought was a Dyson battery and when you look for reviews this site comes up and it all looks legitimate. It was a scam site that advertises "genuine" brand name batteries and delivers cheap noname batteries. The site rides on the back of this companies reviews and reputable history and hopes you don't notice the slight spelling change

I picked this store as they advertised "genuine" brand name batteries, not just compatible ones.
The prices were more expensive because of this.
The battery I received was an imitation and the wrong Ah rating.
It was also defective and wouldn't charge.
Store gave me a return label for postage but I have had no response since.
No refund or replacement after weeks of queries.

Thay where very professional and my order Came very quickly and it was just what I orded

Asked for an authentic Sumsung labelled replacement battery for my Samsung Galaxy S7 - got an unbranded one that was sent from Regents Park. Am unable to recommend this seller. Also no response to my contacts concerning this matter. No phone number available as well.

Aussiebatteries.com.au are slow to deliver and don't respond to emails. Their online tracker says delivery is complete when it has not arrived. Still yet to see the quality of their product.

Courteous staff and moving forward with a difficult situation to what i sincerely hope is a mutual satisfactory outcome .

Thankyou for your reply . Yes both batteries voltmeters are faulty , i had fitted only 1 when the problem started but on bench testing , both exhibited the same fault . ( I was hoping when linking the 2 batteries in series that the problem would disappear .) My systems average current draw is only 200w + 7 amps when fridge is running .

Ps experienced the fault twice again yesterday , with no apparent triggers as usual that i can determine .

Great service and products would highly recommend this business for anyone looking for portable solar panels or off grid solar systems.
