Avoid Spectra Drive if you expect a…

Avoid Spectra Drive if you expect a timely settlement. My partner has been waiting since October 2025 for a non-fault claim payment. They reached an agreement in January but have failed to actually get the money.
​They are currently in breach of their own settlement terms and have ignored the distress caused by these delays. I have now issued a formal Letter Before Action for £710.00 and will be naming them as defendants in the Small Claims Court. Unprofessional and unreliable."

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re very sorry to hear that you feel this way about your experience, and we completely understand how frustrating delays like this can be.

However, it’s important to clarify a few key points regarding your claim. Following your accident, the initial pre-accident valuation of your vehicle was agreed at £7,190, which was paid to you within less than three weeks of the accident date (on 18/11/2025). We understand you were not satisfied with this amount, and as part of our service, we challenged this on your behalf. After further negotiation with the engineer, we were able to secure an increased valuation of £7,654, resulting in a potential additional payment of £464.

At present, this outstanding amount is not paid by us directly. We are continuing to actively pursue the third-party insurer on your behalf to recover this difference. It is also important to note that the third-party insurer is not obligated to agree to this increased amount, but we have been doing everything we can to achieve the best possible outcome for you.

We are truly sorry for the distress and frustration caused by the delays, and we appreciate your patience while we continue to chase this matter.

Extremely poor customer service and…

*I would also like to clarify a few points, firstly no one ever advised us to remove our belongings not once. Maybe in hindsight we should have thought too, but in all fairness we didn’t know we wouldn’t get the car back at this point and forgive us but our car had just been involved in an accident through no fault of our own - such things were not at the forefront of our minds!
I chased my belongings so many times to no avail , and at one point you even brought me someone else’s belongings!
Secondly - you didn’t liaise with the salvage yard to get me a settlement at all, I liased with them - I chased them myself and I dealt directly with them - you as a company did not! And if you did, once again you never communicated that back to me. I just got a random phone call from the salvage yard directly - no warning from yourself, no request if you could pass them my number might I add, no follow ups afterwards to see if all was sorted *
Extremely poor customer service and communication from this company. Expect to have to chase everything up with them, no follow ups, no calls back when promised. We had an extremely bad experience with them. Wrote our car off - along with all our personal belongings inside! Took me literally 4-5 months of me constantly chasing them about my stuff which they hadn’t returned, finally resolved by me accepting a lower than the value courtesy payment, which I had to literally beg for. Extremely disappointing and would never use them again. Car was wrote off in early November- only just resolved last week.

However, we must be clear that the matters you’ve raised—particularly regarding the handling of your personal belongings, communication from the salvage yard—fall under the responsibility of the recovery and salvage company, not ourselves.

That said, we regret that you feel let down and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, this is our final comment on the matter***

We’re very sorry to hear that you feel disappointed with your experience, and we genuinely regret that you were unhappy with the level of communication throughout your claim.

We would, however, like to clarify a couple of important points. With regard to your personal belongings, unfortunately this is outside of our control. We always strongly advise customers to remove any personal items from their vehicle if it requires recovery, as responsibility for these items rests with the recovery agent. In this instance, this matter would need to be raised directly with them. We also note that we negotiated a cash settlement with the recovery company that you were happy with in relation to the loss of these items.

In terms of your claim timeline, we note that the incident occurred on 19/11/2025 and full settlement was issued on 06/01/2026. While we understand the situation may have felt lengthy, this is not an uncommon timeframe, particularly when factoring in the Christmas and New Year period, which can impact processing times across the industry.

That said, we are truly sorry that you feel let down by your experience. Your feedback is important to us, and we will take it on board as we continue to improve our service.

Becky has bern really soppting my claim she has gone above and behond shes phoned me asking how im doing im very vulnerable and anxious after the accident but Becky has been understanding

Spectra Drive were knowledgeable and…

Spectra Drive were knowledgeable and arranged pick up of my car, co-ordinated the insurance claim and hire car.
Fought our corner and dealt with the headache of claiming the right market value of our car.
Liam Whittam was very pleasant and professional on the phone and kept us up-to-date with a problem which was resolved.
Can't recommend them enough!

Liam was extremely helpful throughout my accident claim. He was professional, responsive, and explained everything clearly, which made the whole process much less stressful. I always felt kept in the loop and confident that my case was being handled properly.

Really appreciate all the support, highly recommend Liam to anyone in my position.

I called Spectra Drive this morning after noticing that £250 had been taken out of my account. I spoke with Liam, who was extremely helpful from the start. He explained that he would need to speak with his manager and promised to call me back within an hour — which he did.

When he called back, Liam was very understanding and polite. He resolved the issue quickly by arranging a full refund of the £250. I really appreciated his professionalism, understanding, and the way he made me feel supported throughout the process.

First class service

Great service from the very first call, recovery of my vehicle involved in a accident was collected within the hr, and a courtesy car was dropped at my front door soon after, I was kept upto date with all details of what was happening with my car and was able to keep the courtesy car until my vehicle was ready which made my day to day life could continue as was the only vehicle in the household, can’t thank you guys enough for helping me in what was a stressful time after the accident

Total Comprehensive Car Accident Assistance Service

I was unfortunate to be involved in a non-fault RTA in November 2025 which was when I engaged with Spectra Drive. They took the hassle out of dealing with incompetent and difficult car insurers and provided recovery of my damaged vehicle, a like for like replacement vehicle, legal assistance, vehicle repair service and personal injury provision if required. All of this whilst liaising with the at fault insurer. Using Spectra meant I did not have to pay any money out myself with all of their costs ultimately recovered from the at fault insurer. Throughout the process, Spectra communicated with me regularly and kept me up to date with developments and progress alike.

In particular I would like to say a massive thank-you to Liam at Spectra who was extremely helpful on numerous occasions and who went above and beyond requirements to ensure a smooth and memorable customer experience.

Spectra Drive provide an all round service and a high level of customer assistance that you would not receive from your typical car insurance provider. I would have no hesitation in recommending the services of Spectra Drive given my own positive experience of them.

Surpassed expectations

I have to say Neil from Spectre and the team surpassed all my expectations.
After wrongly contacting them instead of my own insurance, Spectra picked up my car, delivered a hire car, and assessed my car for damage all within 2 days of my accident, on the third day I found out the mistake I had made.
After a few telephone conversations with Neil and his team, my car was delivered back to me the hire car picked up from their lovely delivery driver Steve, and all without charge for anything, as promised by Neil.
Honestly was so relieved after making such a huge mistake, but their service once identified was brilliant, the only thing stopping a 5 star review was telephone conversation with one of their team, if it had not been for that it would have been an easy 5 stars.

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. They asked for bank statements which wasnt needed, i rang police and police said not to as fraud. Had to fight to get my car back and went through my insurance. Avoid at all costs

I would honestly give less than 1 star…

I would honestly give less than 1 star if I could. We were recommended to use this company by our insurance, for an accident that was not our fault. Incompetent and misinformation all the way. It took nearly 4 months for the money to be sent to us. They asked 6 times for our insurance documents!! The horror stories of the hire car provided, put us off, so we returned the hire car after 4 days. They constantly asked us about the hire car and we had to tell them all the time, we did not have a hire car. We were told this would delay our claim. We contacted the at fault drivers insurance, and they paid within 24 hours of our email and we still had to wait over a week for the money to get to our account. Please save yourselves a lot of stress and DO NOT USE this company. A very stressful situation was made a whole lot worse by this firm.
