I was in a 4 car smash on M1

I was in a 4 car smash on M1. I had the whole family with me and we were all banged and bruised. The next day Kieren rang me to help with all of the details and he was absolutely fantastic. I was in so much pain that I couldn't concentrate but he tool all of that worry onto his shoulders and help with everything. I can't thank him enough. I totally recommend these guys to help.

Brilliant service

Brilliant service, i would definitely recommend this company if you were ever in an accident, the work done by Ryan, Becki and Kieran to help me through this trying time was exceptional, they honestly went above and beyond

Non fault accident

Being involved in a non fault accident has been extremely stressful. I was provided with a courtesy car on day of my accident which was great. I have at times required a lot of reassurance over the past 6 weeks to date. Thank goodness for Kerion at Spectra helping me to negotiate the thankless task of claiming against the party at fault's insurance which has been an awful experience. I can see the finish line now which is a great relief hopefully it won't be long now before I have my car back.

Delivered on their promise!

Spoke with Spectra Drive shortly after my road accident (car written off ). As a non fault driver , it was a bit daunting and stressful. From the very start, Spectra told me of what they would do , ensuring me that I was in safe hands . Despite some doubts, I’m relieved to say that they did indeed deliver on their early pledges. The whole saga took just under a month to conclude . During that time, both Tom and Kieran played a major role in keeping me informed and reassured. Calls and emails were responded to quickly and efficiently, car hire delivered and collected hassle free. All in all , I’m extremely satisfied with service that Spectra provided.

AVOID SPECTRA DRIVE - Dishonest, Rude, and Unethical Practices

My experience with Spectra Drive has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their customer service is shockingly poor, filled with rude staff who constantly lied to me, promising to call back but never did. The worst part was being blackmailed to pay £300 for accidental windscreen damage on a hire car. They told me they'd only drop the charge if I took down my original negative review!

On top of that, they kept possession of my car against my will, despite the fact that the third-party insurance had already taken over my claim. To make matters worse, they threatened to sell my car if the third-party insurance didn’t pay them.

This company is deceitful, unprofessional, and unethical. Do not trust or use Spectra Drive! Save yourself the stress and go elsewhere!

EDIT (27.09.24) Responding to their reply:
Thank you for your reply, but I must clarify that the accusations I've made are not baseless. I have provided evidence to Trustpilot, who reviewed the situation and agreed that there was an element of blackmail involved. It's important for other customers to know the full picture, and I stand by my statement that my experience with Spectra Drive was far from satisfactory.

It is not appropriate to advise customers to focus solely on positive reviews and disregard negative ones. Transparency is crucial, and it's misleading to suggest that customers ignore legitimate concerns raised by others. Spectra Drive needs to accept both positive and negative feedback in order to improve its services, rather than dismissing genuine complaints.

As I mentioned before, and I'll reiterate: DO NOT GO WITH SPECTRA

EDIT (28.09.24) Responding to their reply:

Dear Spectra Drive,

Once again, you've shown your tendency to twist the narrative and shift blame onto the customer. I simply wanted my claim sorted out, not to be spoken to rudely by your staff, or to have you contact the wrong insurance company regarding my claim. The situation was further escalated by your employee, Liam, who called to inform me that my car would be sold if Direct Commercial Insurance, the third-party insurer, did not pay you. Why would I fabricate such details?

My review was intended to warn others so that they don’t have to endure the same frustrating experience. While you did provide a courtesy car promptly after the accident, everything that followed has been nothing short of a nightmare. Your claim that I’m a troublesome customer is just another attempt to discredit my legitimate concerns.

It's clear from the way you've responded that you're more interested in defending your reputation than in resolving issues. It's unfortunate that you feel the need to dismiss genuine feedback and accuse your customers of being dishonest.

I will not continue to engage in back-and-forth exchanges with Spectra. It is regrettable that matters have escalated to this point. However, I strongly recommend that customers also consult reviews on other platforms.

We are deeply concerned to read your recent comments regarding your experience with Spectra Drive, particularly the accusation of blackmail. We take such statements extremely seriously, and we must strongly disagree with this characterisation of our actions. At no point have we or any member of our team engaged in behavior that could be considered blackmail. We find this accusation wholly disproportionate and unfounded.

While we understand your frustration regarding the windscreen damage charge and the handling of your vehicle, we want to assure you that all procedures followed were in line with standard industry practice. The charge was communicated transparently as part of our policy for damage incurred during hire, and any subsequent discussions were aimed at resolving the matter amicably. The assertion that our staff lied to you or acted in bad faith is also concerning and not in keeping with the values we strive to uphold as a company.

That said, we regret that your experience with us has left you dissatisfied. We are committed to addressing customer concerns and would be happy to review this case in more detail to ensure that all actions taken were appropriate and fair. Please feel free to contact us directly so we can explore a constructive way forward.

For anyone reading this review, we would like to point them towards the 5* reviews we have received and they will note our companies values when it comes to customer service and speed of dealing with their claims and positive outcomes.

Mr Millier is known as a troublesome customer. Unfortunately, no matter what solution we gave Mr Miller, he was not happy and has now accused us of Blackmail, which he has absolutely no evidence of and we are disappointed that Trustpilot have allowed his review to stand. As we have stated above, if consumers focus on other reviews (no only the good ones) they will notice that Mr Millers review is to say the least, farfetched when it comes to his comments and I would ask that new and existing customers do not take this review into consideration.

Mr Miller, we went above and beyond for you but you are clearly unhappy still and for that we apologise and wish you good luck with your claim going forward.

We have confident in this company

We have confident in this company. Two individuals made a difference. Tom Martin and Kieron Farrow consistently gave reassurance at a very anxious and stressful month following a no fault collision. They were responsive and empathetic throughout. Thank you
One area of improvement is to encourage claims department to respond to emails in a timely way.

I had a no fault accident

I had a no fault accident, I recieved a curtesy car the same day from spectra.
I have never had a accident and was panicking.
I spoke to Tom from spectra on several occasions and he talked me through the whole process.
Maxine went above and beyond, I must have rung her twenty times plus as I didn't really understand the process although she told me several times.
Maxine is a credit to spectra drive going above and beyond everyday.

I was dubious at first, but Spectra have been very good with providing a replacement vehicle and keeping me informed as to what was happening with the process. Not finished with it yet so we will see how it finish’s.

Do not touch with a barge pole

Do not touch with a barge pole our vehicle was damaged while in their possession and are ignoring our requests to repair this damage, never return our phone calls had our vehicle since 12th April 2024 total of 115 days small claims here we come

As you are aware, the third party insurers have not authorised the damage on your vehicle as they feel it was not accident related. There was damage on the front of your vehicle which was caused while in storage however, we have agreed to get this repaired which you have stated you are happy with.

Spectra Drive strive to be the best in supplying you with a like for like hire vehicle, ensure there is no claim on your own policy, you have no excess to pay at the end of the claim and your vehicle is repaired by an insurance approved body shop where you have a guarantee on the repairs made to your vehicle.

We are sorry you feel you have not had the best experience. We appreciate all feedback to ensure we can work on being the best we can in the future.
