Nothing worked, I couldn't get anyone local to fit their equipment and the best I could find was £350 just to get it fitted.

I’m really disappointed with my…

I’m really disappointed with my experience with Starlink so far. Their website clearly advertises a reduced monthly cost of £25 for the first six months, increasing to £35 thereafter, with no upfront or installation fees. That’s what initially caught my attention.

However, when I actually got in touch to proceed, I was told I’d need to pay around £700 upfront for hardware and installation. This directly contradicts what’s being advertised and feels very misleading.

What’s even more frustrating is that when I raised this discrepancy and asked for clarification, my messages were completely ignored. A lack of transparency is one thing, but ignoring customer concerns altogether is unacceptable.

Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend Starlink. The pricing doesn’t match what’s advertised, and the customer service has been extremely poor.

Dreadfully slow up/down speeds 3.85/4.84mbps while charging £75 per month - watch out!!! The chat-bot tried it's best, but is utterly useless. It kept signposting me to the Home Page for a 'speed checker' that did not exist at the time! Who at Starlink is bothering to monitor this - apparently no one. Needless-to-say we will be cancelling the contract and returning to BT. Their speeds were faster, but still appallingly slow.

Love it...

Equipment delivered quickly and well packaged.
I managed to get the dish pointed correctly within half an hour as the instructions plus what you can find as a guide on YouTube are very easy to follow.
Good speeds on down and up.
The dish, power brick and router seem good quality.
The Android App is easy to understand and manage.
Being able to set a sleep mode for when i am in bed is a good idea.
System pulls between 25 to 45 watts and i have mine running off a solar power bank so the electric for mine is free.
I understand there is no long term contracts but for what it does for me its worth the price.

I’ve had Starlink for over a year now…

I’ve had Starlink for over a year now and it’s actually a surprisingly good service. It’s not affected by bad weather as I expected, in fact if anything it actually speeds up. It’s hardly ever ‘down’. Once in all the time I’ve had it so I think it’s quite reliable.
It IS expensive though. £80 a month is fairly cheeky for a firm that doesn’t have any customer service and makes you buy the kit yourself AND drops out for a short time twice a day. And I think you HAVE to use the Starlink router which isn’t that great. So while I’ve fairly only given 3 stars for the reasons outlined it has so far been a very good service in terms of stability and predictability. It’s the other reasons it’s dropped two stars

They are scumbags

They are scumbags! We just got ripped off. We had a guest stay with us. We have fiber optic services at our place but our guest stayed across the driveway from us and needed to use the internet for his volunteer work with a local deaf sign language group. Well, I was able to get the Starlink Mini setup and connected, but the minute I left, the internet service went down. So we ended up getting a pocket wi-fi instead. However, when I requested a credit on the account, the stupid Grok customer service was completely useless. They easily charged my account twice, but even after I explained to their stupid imbecile AI chat bot with no human intelligence to no avail, there was "logically" nothing he could do. Their new upgraded version of Grok has been intellectually maimed and "castrated". I was very fond of their previous Grok bot because he was very friendly and personable. He actually had more "human" traits than this soul-less and lifeless "robot". If Grok was human, he would get fired for the most terrible customer service. I hope their company goes out of business soon. Who needs internet anyways. We grew up without it and we lived perfectly fine back then with so much less stress. Anyways, after today I decided to cancel our services with Starlink. They will lose way more than the cash they refused to credit to my account today and I will start spending that money elsewhere. That will more than make up for the fees they literally stole from me today.

J'ai fait installer une antenne starlink, l'installeur l'a positionné de facon tres visite au niveau de la facade. je viens de recevoir un courrier recommandé de la part de ma commune et de ma copropriété me demandant de la retirer dans les plus bref delai. Le cout de ce retrait est de 350 euros a ma charge... je trouve cela tres limite tout de meme .

Pas de numéro de contact pour appeler en cas de problème.
Nous avons écris plusieurs messages( environ 10 ) sur le portail;
Une personne nous a répondu au bout de 72 heures on nous disant de débrancher le routeur.
Sachant que nous l'avions déja fait plusieurs fois;
J'ai donc abandonné StarlinK;

I’ve had a very positive experience…

I’ve had a very positive experience with Starlink so far. The plan was clearly laid out upfront—no surprises or hidden details if you actually take the time to read the terms. Installation was straightforward and easy to handle without needing professional help.

Even with some partial obstructions, the speeds have been solid and consistent enough for everyday use. I personally haven’t had the need to contact support, so I can’t speak from direct experience there. However, in the Facebook user groups, there are plenty of posts explaining how the system works and how to properly get help when needed. There are also a lot of complaints about support—but just as often, other users point out that the system wasn’t being used correctly or that the issue could have been resolved by following the proper process.

It is surprising how many people don’t take the time to learn how the system works or do basic troubleshooting before complaining. From what I’ve observed, many of those complaints also seem to come from users outside the continental U.S., where service conditions and expectations can be different.

From what I’ve seen, the chatbot system does open tickets, and real people do follow up with callbacks when necessary. Overall, if you go in informed and use the system as designed, Starlink delivers exactly what it promises.

Charged for a return item, they had received months before.

I returned my unit Summary

Third Party SSCC Label 00094202368168183702 3:14PM 22/12/2025 Check 11:48AM 23/12/2025 so they received the return on the 23 December and on the 24th March they debited $399 from my account, claiming they had not received the package. I had been in contact with them on several occassion and they repeatedly told me they were still waiting for the package to arrive from NZ Couriers. The only contact is through a chat process, there is no way of contacting them otherwise. I am now waiting with bated breath to see if they will refund me my money, which they inform me will take 10-15 days plus bank delays. There is no check-up if the unit is suitable, and in my case, it was not because it did not perform because it left us with a very weak internet connection. The unit is sent, and an installer is contacted by Starlink who is to install it within the trial period, but this did not happen because the installer did not have the attachments that were required and was waiting for them to be supplied to him. 14 April and I still have not received my refund. I have lodged a complaint with the bank, but it is really difficult to provide evidence as the only contact with Starlink is via a Chat system. I photograph the lad couple of chats and have provided them.

Make sure there is no hidden fees

Was going to go with Starlink through dish network . We spoke to someone and got the monthly price. And decided to go ahead and make the appointment to get it until we found out later they wanted to charge us 100$ per TV room for the hopper to get it started.which it was never mentioned when we signed up. We already have an internet service but want something faster. They should have made it clear up front.

Starlink truffatori e falsi

Starlink offre a intervalli irregolari condizioni in cui l'abbonamento LITE costa 29€/mese con il kit gratuito. All'interno dell'intervallo senza promozioni gli sfortunati clienti che contraggono un nuovo abbonamento pagano invece più di 350€ per il kit. Questo non è il modo di porsi sul mercato, è TRUFFARE le persone. Ultima chicca ... non forniscono BESSUNA email ne PEC per contattarli contravvenendo alla LEGGE ITALIANA e le risposte possibili solo tramite apertura ticket sul loro sito sono formulate esclusivamente da un software!!!!!!! Sono dei buffoni truffatori e falsi!!!!!! Stare alla larga da Starlink è l'unica cosa che si può fare!

Big scam, they treat you as a customer like X is treating your data.

I signed up at 40 eur per month. Installed it, within 7 days, they told me they will reduce my speed to 200mb due to my current ussage. If I want to increase the speed to 400mb as it was during sign up, they wish anoth 7 euro per month. So basically, they lured me in, change to their likings, then I have not even mentioned their support team yet. This is the worst I have experienced in a long time. Wasting time, auto replies. Ask for information they will not do anything with anyway...

Worse company and service ever.
I never received the kit. The support is only provided through a bot, I had to threaten them to close my account if I could not talk to a physical person.
They finally provide a return label, … for a kit I never received, nice move.
Then they finally close my account but refuse to refund the shipping costs of 19€ as per policies. Policy for something that was never delivered …. Really?
Terrible terrible service and no support
The team closes ticket as soon they answer without waiting for your approval…

Lured into $39 plan but have been charged full price. Customer support consists only of AI generated responses and goes in circles. I've asked to speak to a person and have gotten nowhere. Hate to give up and cancel but I see no alternative.

I can't praise Starlink highly enough!
I placed my first order on Saturday 28th Feb. It arrived on 3rd March, which I was very impressed with.
Set-up couldn't be easier. Just download their app, put the dish anywhere that has a clear view of the sky, and just follow the app to get the dish pointing where it needs to be. Instant 100mb/s download. Compared to the service I had with BT, which varied anything from 1.2mb/s to 12mb/s on a good day.
If you live in a rural area, and struggle to get decent internet, don't hesitate. This service simply works, and works well.
I have also purchased a couple of their Router Mini's, to use as wifi mesh boosters. (Both arrived within 48 hours of ordering). The second one had a faulty mains power supply. I contacted Starlink via the app, and they put a replacement on order for me, in less than 5 minutes. Yes, it was a 'bot', but it was so easily dealt with.
My experience so far, is nothing short of excellent. - Keep ut the good work Starlink!

Furieuse suite au changement de tarif…

Furieuse suite au changement de tarif non prévu. Ils ne sont même pas capables de donner le prix en ttc alors que en ttc c’est 6€ plus cher par moi pour la 1/2 du débit. La fibre est arrivée chez moi j’arrête donc l’abonnement.
