It was straightforward to use the site and book a policy with Staysure.

'Pay Now' is a mess. For a start you display Amex payment, but your system refuses to accept it. Just SAY Amex is not accepted and then we will know up front. Then I had to present my Visa card several times before it went through. That was via my card reader. I first tried the one time code method, but where was it sent? Not by email and not by phone??

Very easy to navigate through the website. Simplicity itself. The quote was roughly 50 percent less than other insurance companies, So well done Staysure. Roughly 215 Euro to cover 9 days in Canada and my wife has a pre existing medical condition. 10 out of 10.

I have used Staysure several times to cover foreign travel, but never made a claim until a recent trip to Malaysia. Unfortunately, on arrival in Kuala Lumpur my wife's suitcase was not on the flight. It was eventually delivered to our hotel 3 days later during which time my wife had to purchase a few basic items amounting to approximately £100. As our policy included delayed baggage, we assumed that Staysure would handle the case simply and quickly, hopefully reflecting the speed with which they took the premium.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The claim form with supporting documents was sent to Staysure at a UK address on 19.05.2026.
With no reply and following several reminders, I was contacted by Expat Customer Support on 15.06.2026 requesting all the details again. Five more emails followed, assuring that the matter was being dealt with, the final one on 27.06.2026, once more with the assurance "that your claim has been escalated for further review".
And still no reply.
Like many, I have used Staysure for many years believing they are a trusted, professional company, which they appear to be until you actually ask them to do the very thing you pay significant amounts for.

I would give 5/5 but some of the medical questions are a little unclear. A quick phone call sorted out the issues.

This was such a great website to use. Really clear and helpful explanations. I liked the way it kept all my information when I moved off the page. It seems like very good value for money.

The website is clear and easy to use. Documentation is thorough without being invasive. Documentation was easy to fill in. The cost of insurance is competitive, even with a preexisting medical condition! The option of yearly insurance was great value also. I was only looking for medical insurance when I started but the insurance is comprehensive including things like loss or theft of possessions. I will update if I need to use the policy at any time. But first impressions are great.

I always use Staysure Expats insurance for my travel insurance when travelling from my home in Spain back to the UK. So easy to get a quote and documents sent within minutes! Great service

It is now 3 days since i recieved a response from Staysure. Despite the assurance that i would recieve a quick response, I hve heard NOTHING FROM THEM !
Have previously rated at 2 stars to which I got a response. Unfortunately actions speak louder than words or in this case InAction. The claims handlers have twice told me they have not received documents which I know to be untrue, they have now passed me to a 3rd claims company! Anything so as not to payout the insurance cover.

My return trip from Hyderabad India was delayed. When I arrived in Abu Dhabi the connection flight was further delayed and when i arrived in Madrid I had to stay an additional night and rebook my train ticket. NOT A PROBLEM. So I thought iIcan claim on my multi trip insurance. Initally i was directed to ERGO for expats. The gentleman gave me a long search address but all I got was-- this site does not exist. Four calls later A gentleman connected me to a claim site and I began filling the form in. After 3hours I was unable to get past the page that said additional costs because I wasnt claimimg any!!!So after another 2 calls to StaySure I was told I was claiming on the wrong form. The girl sent me a PDF to fill in. I cannot believe the amount of paperwork and information to claim euros 230. 5 pages of information. In shortthey require Policy certificate..( Seems fair) Booking documents showing total cost of holiday (Does anybody actually know this) Airline tickets (Fair) Travel Itenary (Most of my travel was off the cuff). Document to support any discount given to you (what does this mean?) Letter from the carrier in my case ETHIAD stating exact reason for delay and scheduled and actual departure date and time (Already stamped on my ticket). Written confirmation from the PUBLIC SCHEDULED SERVICE OPERATOR for the reason (Bloody good luck with this in India). An official letter from the carrier or tour operator stating the official cause of delay. The exact period of delay. I guess dropping a bomb in the middle east covers it all. We have always automatically covered outselves with STAYSURE but the next renewal will be with sombody else. Don't get charmed by a pleasant voice on the phone. The proof of the pudding in in the eating. What a great way to make a buck, make the process to claim so difficult you give up the will to continue.
