My travel was disrupted because of the Middle East conflict

My travel was disrupted because of the Middle East conflict which resulted in over £2000 for new flights and hotels . It was NOT clear in the wording of my policy that this was not covered . I filled in a claim which took 2 hours and 12 separate documents / receipts to be uploaded . 2 weeks later my mailed reply was that a different department was handling the claim so I had to call them instead ...... they then told me that I was not covered . the entire experience wasted valuable time and effort .

Dear Rachael,

Thank you for your review, I am sorry you are unhappy with us and your claims experience.

The claims team should have pointed you to the sections of the policy wording which shows you are not covered. There are sections on flight delays/cancellations and civil unrest.

P12 of the policy wording also directs you to the airline under the EU travel regulations as they must offer compensation/refunds for cancelled flights.

My apologies for any confusion or frustration caused.

The address area would not accept my correct address here in Calpe, Spain, so had to choose one of the ones printed by you, which I find very odd. Otherwise all very easy
