This company is not a legitimate one. They claim to offer the best customer service and products and draw up fake contracts and once they have your money do not deliver. I patiently waited for them to complete my job which I was informed would take 3 months instead took 15 months and when completed failed building regulation. No certificates were supplied or invoices. They ask payment to be made in cash or through Revolut which I now will be reporting to HMRC. So many of my friends and family wanted me to recommend sun studios and initially I did but I have now retracted and also ensured the bad experience is made public. Shocking that people like this are able ri continue to trade in the UK. Owner is called Davit

This company is a scam and this is a genuine review! There is no workshop and contact nos are not working. They are still taking clients money. Avoid at all cost: took payment (c£9,000) upfront for a bespoke staircase in Jan 2022 and despite repeated emails phone calls and so many missed deadlines and 2.5 years later still no staircase. Sun Studio London took almost 80% of the money up front and removed my original staircase in Mar 22 so I was committed and the site has been unsafe all this time – Sun Studio London provided just above absolute zero in both goods and quality of service

A surveyor (Ron) came round in October 23 and was promised the job would be complete in 4 weeks – Davit finally got someone round at the beginning of May 24 to install a few spindles but then left (the site still unsafe with no barrier). Davit then demanded more money and threatened me if I wanted the job finished (on 8th June), which I gave him - he made me pay into his personal bank account - Ron supported his request and said that it's fine and usual practice and not to worry. He then asked for a copy of the payment. Davit is now not taking my calls and says that if I put anything negative on Trustpilot then he won’t do anything – this is the third time he has used this stance. I have put reviews up before but makes me take them down with threats not to deliver. Exasperated will now look at legal route. Don't make the mistake I made.

They are a complete SCAM. Stay away!!!!!!!They take money upfront and after that they disappear and don’t even pick up your calls.We were initially in contact with Davit and Alexander who kept on feeding us lie after lie. To this day we still don’t have anything installed and our money stolen.

For your own sanity and financial security, stay away from this company.

Sun Studios took most of the money up-front and over 2 years later we have very little to show for it. Despite countless messages and phone calls many of which were ignored, Davit finally got in touch in spring and asked for more money to complete the installation. It transpired the account details provided were his personal ones and not the business! Please check the account details if you have paid money to this company. It was May this year (2024) when work commenced and some of the spindles were fitted, but they are unsafe and still unusable. The staircase remains dangerously incomplete.

I put up a review before but was told that if I took it down the work would be completed. I took it down but nothing has happened, so here is my review again.
I would never recommend this company to anyone, please pay attention to the other negative reviews and make up your own mind.

Once this company has your money they will lose interest in you very quickly, their service is disgraceful and will be reported to the relevant authorities.

Do not trust SunStudio with your money Paid upfront for a bespoke staircase - received nothing but deceit in return. Our home remains dangerously incomplete without the original staircase they recklessly removed years ago. I am unable to move back into my home as there is now a sheer drop of over 3 metres from the upstairs landing. Sunstudio's countless broken promises and excuses are unacceptable. The situation worsened with a flawed original survey highlighted in a reassessment in October 2023 and then again in January 2024 leading nowhere. Dealing with Davit has been an exercise in futility, marked by false assurances and blatant disregard for our plight. SunStudio have shown their operation to be alarmingly unprofessional. After all these years they have held my money, and the legal route is the only option left.

What an absolute stressfull nightmare from start to finish.

After my staircase was finally installed after weeks of calls and a visit to the offices in Brentford, it became apparent straight away that there were things wrong with the handrail.

Poor finish razor sharp edges and cracks discoloration practically everywhere.

Moving treads on the spine which are extremely dangerous.

After failing to turn up when booked and no answer to.our phone calls it is clear that sun studio have no intension of turning up to rectify the work.

Months of lies from both company employees and management (Dilo and Davit) leave us extremely disappointed, frustrated and feeling like we have ben ripped off.

I urge anyone thinking of purchasing a staircase to stay well away from this total disaster of a company.

Warning: Unreliable Stair Manufacturer - A Nightmare Experience

I feel compelled to share my horrific experience with Sun Studio. As the main contractor on a project, I expected a professional and reliable service. Unfortunately, my encounter with this manufacturer has been nothing short of a nightmare.

To begin with, Sun Studio caused extensive damage to my client's property. After acknowledging their mistake, they assured me that they would rectify the situation. We agreed that if we placed another order with them, they would adjust the balance to cover the cost of repairing the damage. However, this turned out to be a false promise.

Shockingly, Sun Studio accepted a cash payment of £600 for the balance of the order, but then disappeared without a trace. They failed to supply the ordered product, neglected to pay for the damage they caused, and never refunded the £600 they had received. Furthermore, they ceased answering our calls, leaving us feeling cheated and deceived. It became abundantly clear that we were dealing with nothing more than scammers.

Adding insult to injury, the stairs that our client purchased from Sun Studio were of subpar quality. They were riddled with numerous faults and defects, indicating a lack of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Our client's expectations were far from met, and the overall result was highly disappointing.

I strongly advise extreme caution when considering engaging with Sun Studio. Their unscrupulous behavior, failure to honor agreements, and poor workmanship make them a completely unreliable choice. It is disheartening to encounter such deceit and lack of professionalism in the industry.

In conclusion, our encounter with Sun Studio has been an absolute nightmare. From the damage they caused to their failure to address the situation or provide a resolution, their conduct has been utterly unacceptable. Moreover, the inferior quality of the stairs only adds to the disappointment and frustration we have experienced.

I sincerely hope that others can learn from our unfortunate experience and avoid the distress and financial loss we have endured. Stay away from Sun Studio to save yourself from the headache and misery that we have endured.

We have info from
2 customers who between them have parted with over 20k and have had nothing and company won’t speak to them
4 customers with incomplete staircases and no response from company at all
Litterally won’t answer a phone call to any of them after paying 80% of total bill

Myself with a completed staircase but major faults (won’t rectify them)

After chasing to get my staircase installed
At first it looked great as we could not walk up it as treads were wet

On closer inspection the hand rail is a complete disaster and needs replacing and one of the treads on the spine has become loose and is extremely dangerous to walk on when going down the stairs
Lies after lies after lies
Compulsive lying comes second nature to these people
I will continue to edit this post
We are day 5 now of no communication
Leave a message at head office is a waste of time
Avoid at all costs
No customer service
No attention to detail or any detail
No head office communication

If your happy to be disappointed then feel free to use this company
I cannot understand why a company would not come to fix things.

Horrible company irresponsible owner sends drunk fitters to my house even tho I've complained to him about them, completely ruined my staircase - avoid by all means!!

Worst company ever, do not work with them or for them! Unprofessional and still owns us money!

31/5/24 - As an update to the below a guy called Rounak promised sending out workmen last week to make repairs but nothing materialised. I have made a number calls to him and to the main office but not getting a response. I am considering making a visit to their offices next week if they still exist. If people read the reviews I can't imagine they will survive much longer.

We had our glass balustrade / floating staircase installed last Autumn which we were happy with after much chasing along the process. In March this year the handrail has become loose and a few stairs have started to squeak as a result. Despite numerous promises we have not had a visit from the installers to fix the issue which is disappointing. I would be happy to amend my review on resolution.

I strongly advise against considering employment with this company based on my personal experience as a former employee. Payroll issues were persistent, with payments consistently delayed and requiring multiple follow-ups each month. Despite numerous attempts to address the matter, I have yet to receive any form of acknowledgment or resolution. This ongoing situation has caused significant distress and anxiety. Overall, I cannot recommend this workplace as a viable option for employment.

Sun Studio is a complete disaster zone. Their communication is a mess, their work is shoddy, and they have zero regard for their clients. It's like they're actively trying to sabotage themselves. Do not waste your time or money here.

They are useless and their work is terrible.

Very unsatisfied to work with Sunstudio.
I believe Sun studio is not performed well as what they showed. I got so many complaints from my client and also PM about lack of fluency to work with Sun studio. They have no basic knowledge or professional skill to work on project.

At the moment there is handrail and balustrade installed on site , the surprise is the product is totally different to what the design showed, it was installed without any drawings or approve from whether PM or client. I have never met any supplier doing things like this.

My client also ordered a fire-rated glass partition and door from them. Despite their initial promise of full responsibility for fire compliance and a full refund in case of non-compliance, the company has failed to deliver on their commitments.

Nine weeks after the production payment, they still haven't provided satisfactory drawings.

Now, the company refuses to refund the money they received from my client. As a result, my client has had to resort to legal action to retrieve their funds.

Sun Studio lacks basic professionalism, is riddled with dishonesty, and consistently fails to meet deadlines. They represent a new low in the industry, and I strongly advise avoiding them unless you're prepared to waste your money and time with nothing to show for it.

I recently had the pleasure buying a spine stairecase from SunStudio .London , and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectation. From the initial consultation on site to the final installation, their team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to quality. We have contracted Sunstudio to build our new spine staircase and the entire experience was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding me through the selection process to ensure I found the perfect staircase for my home. Thanks to Rounak.

We used Sun Studio London to build a bespoke staircase at our project and sincerely wished we hadn’t. Here’s a snapshot of our experience.
The workmanship is appalling.
We had to continuously chase to keep the installation moving.
We had to construct our own temporary handrail to protect our two small children from falling over the side during the works.
Prior to painting we had loose balustrades and creaking treads.
Painting was undertaken using solvent based rattle cans with no regard for the health and safety of our family. Overspray was absolutely everywhere!
Once they had a substantial chunk of our money they ignored our calls, messages and emails.
We had to commence legal proceedings to get them back to fix the problems.
When fixing the problems they created more. It was a nightmare!
We are still left with poorly finished paintwork with grey primer grinning through the black top coat.
Our timber treads are covered in sander marks and look like they’ve been stained by a child.
The process from start to what we are left with, (which is not a finished product), took 10 months.
Their MD promised to post me out paint and stain for me to finish the stairs myself, yes you read that correctly, and it never came despite chasing two or three times.
All in all it’s a dogs dinner of a product from a business who, in our experience, only cared about taking our money!!

Sun studio have provided me with excellent service and made my home look amazing and modern. Highly recommend using sun studio. The team are brilliant, very understanding and will try there level best to provide exactly what you want…

I have been left with a staircase that has uneven and moving treads, numerous chips on the glass balustrade, also not fixed properly and crooked. Have been advised it will probably not pass building control and is not usable on health and safety grounds, do not waste your money with this company, their MD/Director is aggressive and rude. They take all the money upfront and then do a shoddy job. Don't fall for their lovely website. It was a costly mistake to have used this company, as the staircase will have to be redone by someone else. Please do better due diligence than I did. Companies House is a good place to start.
***UPDATE*** - I previously wondered why numerous negative reviews appeared and subsequently disappeared on Trustpilot.
After reading my negative review, The MD of Sun Studio, contacted me repeatedly (despite being politely asked not to contact me anymore), threatening legal action. Sun Studio also contacted Trustpilot twice to try and get this review taken down. Sun Studio's aggressive tactics continue.
***UPDATE 2*** Sun Studio have yet again contacted Trustpilot (who in turn have contacted me). I will keep updating with the attempts to make me take down this true review
***UPDATE 3*** Have been forced to take out the MD's name by TrustPilot despite this being freely available on Companies House
***UPDATE 4*** Sun Studio contacted TrustPilot again and this time claimed my review was for another business, they will try any tactic to get this taken down
