Update: After nine weeks, the company failed to produce a satisfactory drawing of the glass door and partition, despite receiving 80% of the payment. This constitutes a failure to fulfill their contractual obligations. Consequently, I had no choice but to cancel the contract and request a refund. I will not engage with this company any further. If the refund is not processed, I will pass the the matter to my solicitor. It has been an exhaustive and unproductive experience dealing with this company.

Below is the comment from our project manager about SUN STUDIO:

Sunstudio has been an absolute new low, a shame of the industry and we have absolute blacklisted it for all of our clients. As a project manager I worked with all kinds and sized contractors and tradesman, I’ve never had to waste so much time and energy with cowboys like this.

They are slow and reluctant to response towards Building Control’s request on technical drawings (which are key to getting the fire rated glass partitions installed). And when they did send drawings after 4months of delay, the drawings were so under equipped with necessary information, it was impossible for the Building Control to approve.

It has been 6 months since we’ve asked Sunstudio to start work on site, and they’ve done f all but taking more and more money. They’ve sent someone to pretend to do survey, and later on said the survey didn’t count. They’ve also made appointments with me to attend the site, yet failed to showed up or called, and they felt no guilt for wasting 3 hours of my billable work time.

They’ve charged my Client 80% of all work upfront and now installed only about 30% worth of the work, leaving some half frames (which are severe tripping hazard to be left on site) for months, without making necessary progress for further work to be carried out. And they’ve now gone quiet - just again no consideration of how this affects the client for they have to pay double rent / mortgage on two places to wait for the glass work to be done.

I’d recommend anyone to avoid this company, its unprofessional performance will cost you months (if not years) of time wasted as client / project manager. If you are stuck with the company, don’t let them blackmail you for more money paid, walk away, you’d be better off anywhere else.

I have had to remove the content of my truthful review because of threats from the company as ive seen many have had to do before me also.

I am a builder and have been using Sun Studio for my projects. If the client requires a cheap staircase have another supplier, but when they ask for an exclusive staircase and are willing to pay I go to Sun. Worked on 3 project in London, service and quality is good. They come to sort snag, if not immediately then in due course.

See my other review on Sunstudio.london which I put up to warn about this company . I have a high end stairs design business and I originally contracted sunstudio.london to manufacture and install a cantilever stairs structure for me. I sent them images of former stairs I have done . One of those images is now on their website as one of their designs. I never gave them permision for this . It is theft . I have all the original designs to prove that I designed and installed the cantilvered stairs.
Do not work with this totally unethical company whether you are a domestic or commercial client . I will be advising my legal team to add this to the other topics we are suing for. Be warned.

Really happy with my glass balustrade, ilja and the team communicated throughout and quickly came up with solutions when we had a couple of hiccups. They even stayed late to finish the job and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you Sun Studio

Have worked with Sun Studio on almost 3 different projects now...(Gerrads Cross, Romford and Osterley)Jobs are done very professionally with keeping all the details in mind. From the design stage to completion, all aspects of the projects were highlighted and we were informed of the progress. The team at Sun Studio gave us some innovative ideas and their qualified workforce fulfilled the installation. Very reliable, trustworthy and dedicated team that helped us make convert the clients ideas/concepts to reality(Staircase, Rooflights and External Glazing) . If not in the scope of work they do, but should mention after looking at their work our company surely got some good leads and conversions from clients - neighbours, family and friends. I recently had the pleasure of working with Sun Studios London for the installation of the staircase in my home, and I must say that the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
Ron, the sales manager, was an absolute delight to work with. He was extremely knowledgeable and professional, and was always available to answer any questions that I had throughout the process. Ron's attention to detail was impressive, and he really took the time to understand my vision for the project and make it a reality.

We could contracted Sun Studio to install a staircase for a renovation project. They were efficient, price effective and worked hard to get the job done. With a couple of minor hiccups, which were remedied immediately. Very happy with end result.

I am absolutely happy with my new floating staircase, I just love it! We were very tight with the budget but the guys offered a good deal and helped us with the options. No delays, communication was easy. Also, special thank to Ron, he was extremely helpful. 5 stars!

Had a staircase balustrade made and installed by Sun Studio. Adam did the specification and quote and was very helpful/knowledgeable - gave me good advice. We're very happy with the job. When we noticed a problem with the shape of one of the pieces of glass after the installation they came back right away and sorted it out. I'd recommend and would use these guys again.

Supply and install (1) Structural walk-on glass 2M X 2M on a terraced balcony (2) Glazing around terraced balcony inclusive of balustrades (3) Glazing for a Juliet balcony.
In December 2021, I got in touch with TDH Ltd trading as Sun Studio London after a client of mine recommended, for a quote to supply and construct structural glazing work for a terraced balcony inclusive of 2M X 2M roof-light and a Juliet balcony. I was initially served by a member of staff and then transferred to another one who responded promptly to all my queries and gave a final quote to get the work constructed in conjunction with the approved plan. From start to finish of the project, I have been in touch with the second member of staff who updated me with the progress on inspection/survey, production and installation of the structural glazing. Albeit the construction of the terraced balcony had taken a long time due to certain skilled work, I am still not satisfied with the end results as the laminated part of the glazing failed to stay intact within a few months of installation.
Sun Studio London also did another work where they supplied and installed a toughened and decorative large backsplash glazing 1.6M X 2.2M in our kitchen which costed £2,500. Although the finished product incorporating artwork inclusive of gold leave work initially looked good, (although a lot more gold leaf had been added than we initially had thought), the paintwork on the backsplash malformed within a couple of weeks by creating pockets of ghastly rustic stains all over the backsplash. My daughter and I tried to reach both sales team members who were the initial contact persons involved in sales department of TDH Ltd trading as SUNSTUDIO LONDON with no response or success of getting the problem resolved by replacing the defective backsplash.
Many months lapsed since I tried calling them, messaging via WhatsApp and sending emails to resolve the problem with no success at all.
Keeping silent will not resolve the defects and there are no one to take my compliant or even to escalate the matter to the sole director of TDH Ltd. In such circumstances, I have no other option but to take legal proceedings to get damages for substandard product supplied and installed by SUNSTUDIO LONDON.
Update: I was contacted by the sole director of SUNSTUDIO directly who had assured me he will rectify the issue with the backsplash and we would have a replacement. I had taken my comment down as per his request with the trust the issue will be fixed. He contacted me in December 2022 and we had come with a plan on how to rectify the issue. We had sent him the new image for the backsplash and since then, no correspondence or any response to messages left on his mobile and messages sent on WhatsApp. I have given SUNSTUDIO plenty of time with benefit of the doubt, and I am disappointed to have been let down after being approached to take my initial comment down. Since there have been no actions from their side to fix the issue, I will have to take further action on this matter. I had such high hopes when the sole director of TDH Ltd had contacted me with such promise, only to be let down more than I was before.
Finally, we found that none of the staff inclusive of the sole director of TDH Ltd were trustworthy at all, we have enough evidence in a transcript form from WhatsApp chats to demonstrate the degree of the director's credibility. We are now proceeding with a court claim to get damages for supplying substandard and defective products.

Great service from start to finish. Helpful all the way along and got the job completed on a tight time frame to help me out. Will certainly be recommending (as they were to me by a friend).

I have never had a floating staircase before so was entering into the unknown but I must say the company were great very professional and we are extremely happy with the finished product. I would definitely recommend them to my friends

We had an amazing experience with Sun Studio from Design stage to the final installation. Installers are really professional and don't compromise of quality. From director, sales rep to installers, we got really good response and service. I highly recommend them if you are considering to get your staircase done.

I have had a great experience with SunStudio .London when buying my antique mirrors for my home.
Team was very helpfull, quick and delivered as per agreed specifications.

READ BEFORE YOU USE THIS COMPANY! We have been fitting mirrors in our projects for years and so have a lot of experience with mirror and glass suppliers. For a kitchen project we needed a mirror that was 3700mm long in one piece and so couldn't use our usual supplier. In 2 pieces this mirror would cost us around £240 + VAT. I spent a few hours ringing around to find a company that could do the mirror in one piece and thought I had hit the jackpot with Sun Studio. They said that they could do it at a much higher price of £1214 + VAT. As I couldn't find anyone else to do the same thing then I accepted the quote. This did also include template and fit. From there on all correspondence was via Whatsapp. I asked a few times during the Whatsapp messages for them to confirm the mirror size but this was always ignored. Looking back this should have been a warning sign. I didn't realise that I didn't have, in writing, anywhere that the mirror was going to be in one piece until too late. A few weeks later when I accepted the quote and arranged the template I was informed that it had gone up by almost £300 + VAT! As I didn't have any other options for a one piece mirror I had to accept. When the templater arrived I specifically stated that the mirror needed to be in one piece which he wrote on his paperwork. I have since asked for a copy of this paperwork but have been told that as the job is now closed this is not available anymore. A few weeks later they arrived on site to install. The appearance of the van and the fitters didn't inspire much confidence. The first thing I asked was about it being in one piece. I was then told that it was in 2 pieces! Obviously they had already requested the full payment. I couldn't believe it. I was sure that this had been mentioned in the Whatsapp messages. Looking back I could see a deleted message from the company which must have been it. There was nothing that I could do at that point. I spoke to our customer and and she decided to accept as this would hold everything else up otherwise. The fitters fitted the mirrors. I had to stop them from finishing the silicone on the base due to the mess that they were making with the sides. I've had no luck speaking to the company so will have to take this as a loss. I would in no way recommend this company. Very overpriced and misleading.

UPDATE ON THIS SINCE THE COMPANY HAS REPLIED - I had a call from the company and I explained everything and was then told that I would get a call back after discussions internally. The man I spoke to gave the impression that they would put right the fact that I had paid over £600 + VAT for each mirror. I never received this call back and I can now see that this was simply a call to enable them to be best informed with their reply.
I can explicitly state that at no point was I told about the size required not being possible. I have looked back at all correspondence and contrary to what they have replied it doesn’t say this anywhere. I used this company and agreed to pay the high price for the mirror for the sole reason that they said that they could do it in one piece.

Update February 2024 - Sun Studio have just flagged my review again. Claiming it is a false review and breaches Trustpilot conditions. Trustpilot weren’t fooled!

Something to point out to potential customers - take notice that most positive reviews here are by accounts with only the 1 review and the negative review accounts have left a number of different reviews. Funny that.
