I strongly recommend this company. Their representative Simon Johnson delivered an excellent service. He kept me informed of his estimated time of arrival throughout the day. On arrival he guided me through what he was going to do and roughly how long it would take. We then test drove my car once the work had been completed to check I was satisfied. Also, recommended I contact the company if I have any problems once he had left. Efficient, courteous and excellent value re price.

So after trying a few different things he finally got it working and I now have the stage 1 map

Had Michael in for a remap. The map was amazing. No hassle with the car. No hassle with the appointment. This is my 5th Superchips remap and each one has been perfect. £225 for 74 HP and 81NM of torque is more than worth it. Thank you.

Useless online booking system. Completed everything online, selected date and paid in full. Was texted the next day to say that no times available. BUT when I did rebook the technician was excellent, prompt, professional and communicative. The difference it has made to my vehicle is huge. Great value and I have recommended to several friends already.

Had Simon stage 1 remap and carbon clean my bmw z4. Massive difference from before and couldn’t ask for a nicer bloke. Highly recommend.

Car is much more torquey, and in gear acceleration when on-boost is much stronger.

Fast and efficient technician

Received a text day before appointment with a time slot, followed by a call from Michael on the day when he arrived. Explained the whole process very clearly and performed the remap and carbon clean in less time than anticipated. Great service and excellent results. Highly recommend!

Michael was on time and very polite. He explained everything that he was doing and answered all my questions. The remap itself took less than an hour. After a test drive, I felt the car was a little more responsive, but nothing amazing. Michael explained that had the Mini been forced induction instead of naturally aspirated, the difference would have been more noticeable. Overall, the price was reasonable and the service was good, even if the results weren't quite as i had hoped.

They supposed put a chip in my car over a year ago. It did nothing in fact I think it made it worse
I complained to them at the time and they came back with all these figures on the improvement in torque etc was rubbish needless to say didn’t get my money back.

The engineer was superb and very helpful , informed me that the ECU I got from eBay was already mapped. He also went out of his way to get to the appointment today (Friday 23rd), he was apologetic and polite.

I recently purchased a Powergate unit from Superchips, and unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing. After following all the instructions provided, I encountered a serious issue that resulted in the destruction of my car's ECU.

During the reprogramming process, the firmware provided did not check or display any errors related to voltage levels. This lack of monitoring is concerning, especially since I was repeatedly prompted to reprogram the ECU. I trusted that the system would alert me to any potential issues, but there were no warnings or error messages indicating that something was wrong.

As a result of this oversight, my vehicle's ECU was damaged beyond repair. When I reached out to Superchips for assistance, they claimed no responsibility, stating that the voltage was too low. However, I believe that a responsible product should have safeguards in place to prevent such damage and should inform users of any issues during the process.

I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of accountability and support from Superchips. I expected a reliable product and clear communication, especially when it comes to something as critical as my vehicle's ECU. I hope that others considering their products will seriously think twice, and use a local professional service instead. So far the damages have cost over £3000 and look to be over £4000 by the time it's all sorted out. I'll update this review if anything changes.

EDIT: Superchips' customer service was helpful in relaying my emails to Powergate, which I appreciate. However, on-site support incurred an additional £90 call-out fee and was ultimately unable to resolve the issue with the equipment they had available.
My main concern is the lack of clear warnings regarding the need for a power supply when using the device with certain vehicles. This critical information was not displayed on the unit itself, its packaging, or in the included documentation. While there is a reference to a user guide, no direct link was provided, leaving me to assume the enclosed leaflet was the complete instructions.
In my opinion, the product would benefit from more robust built-in safeguards and clearer, more accessible safety information. Given the importance of proper power supply (as backed up by superchips reply below), I believe this should be more prominently featured in the product's documentation and startup process.
This review specifically addresses the Powergate unit as sold by Superchips, not Superchips as a company. While my experience was very disappointing, other users may have different results. I encourage potential buyers to thoroughly research their options before considering purchase.
This review should not be seen as any form of attack on superchips, rather my concerns and opinions with the powergate unit.

EDIT2:
I found out that they blocked my email after I started asking for a refund and questioning why their hardware doesn't have any protections. When I finally got the chance to call them, they admitted that this problem has happened before. Unfortunately, they haven't been much help and just blamed everything on Powergate, acting like it’s not their issue.

Called to make an enquiry about getting my van remapped and was met on the phone by a disinterested rude employee. I had every intention on booking but due to his attitude I decided against it on his attitude alone and now will be looking elsewhere. I hope for the benefit of superchips that he receives some sort of training.
