Despite my reservations regarding…

Despite my reservations regarding online self assessment services, Taxfix UK proved my initial fears to be unwarranted. They were excellent, the communication between myself and my personal accountant Kwaku was 1st rate and I can't fault the service at all.

Money owed to HMRC was completely wrong

I was sent information to say I owed HMRC £5,000+. I paid £1000+ last year. I messaged the person who had prepared my tax return saying it was clearly wrong. He rang me, told me I should have rang him. How could I when there was only an option to message? He then told me that actually HMRC owed me a refund!!! I hope this is the case as I will not be held responsible if HMRC says this is not the case!!!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about the stressful and confusing experience you had with HMRC.

We understand that receiving an unexpectedly high tax bill would be alarming, considering this is much different to the outcome you were expecting and we sincerely apologise for the distress this has caused.

Our accountants draft your returns based upon the information you provide during the uploading documents stage. HMRC, however, have greater oversight and might hold information on your income you might not be aware of. It's not unusual for them to make changes to a filed return.

Sadly calls is not something that's included in our service offerings so apologies for the confusion with your accountant on this.

We would like the opportunity to investigate this further and ensure your submission is correct. Please contact our team at support@taxfix.com with your registered email address, and we will look into this for you as a priority.
