Es un completo robo, en su sitio web, los planes "amigo sin límite" se anuncian como minutos, SMS y MB ilimitados en EU, México y Canadá. Intenté llamar y decía que mi saldo se había agotado, me comuniqué con ellos y resulta que mi llamada a Estados Unidos no estaba incluida en mi paquete, tuve que realizar otra recarga al paquete "Amigo". Así de incoherente.

Telcel is a totally evil company designed to put its clients in harm's way and they lie about coverage. Its online systems do not work and will put you in endless frustrating cycles. Whatever you do, avoid the Centro de Atención a Clientes TELCEL at Parque Delta. It is the closest thing to Hell on Earth and there is no escape. Its clients are there for hours and, in my case, days and they provide no useful services, only harm. Read the other reviews and you will see that it is true.
Once Telcel hooks you, you will be in great danger, and lose days out of your life which you can never recover. I am an elderly woman living alone in Mexico and lose coverage when I am out by myself in dangerous places. Once I drove by myself to Nuevo Laredo, which is still Mexico, in stormy weather. I lost signal and when I tried to get help, I had to pay a forced mordida to the corrupt police and never did get my signal back. Other times, it’s me alone in Mexico City, at night, and I can’t even call an Uber to get home.
When I lose signal, and can’t get help from them, I think it’s a billing problem and pay them more. I now have a huge balance with them which I can never get back. Telcel is a nightmare from which you cannot escape You have been warned!

BATEO DE SU ÁREA DE SERVICIO A ALGO SIMPLE
Hoy 29 de septiembre 2023 mi Vivo se quedó oscuro y no encendía teniendo menos de un año de uso. Acudí a Servicio, el técnico que supuestamente me atendió lo revisó rápidamente y dio su veredicto: "el celular está pasmado, se perdieron todos sus datos, no se puede abrir para quitar la batería y darle inicio, necesito la factura o la caja con el número de serie, cuando lo tenga me lo deja 24 horas, si no se puede hacer nada hay que mandarlo al fabricante, pero definitivamente perdió todos sus datos". Junto con mi amiga fuimos a su casa para que su hijo es que psicólogo lo viera y en unos pocos pasos lo dejó funcionando. Era algo simple y el tipo de Servicio me la hizo cansada. No se vale que traten tan mal a personas, especialmente de la tercera edad. ChAsuMa""".

Breathtakingly bad customer service and user experience
I've traveled to a good number of countries, and so I've paid for mobile service a lot. My experience has always been positive in almost every country I've ever visited. Telcel customer service is unspeakably bad, and their prices are far more than you'd pay in almost anywhere in the world, including America. 6GB max, problems with calling abroad, complete lack of ability to determine your data usage, interrupted service, the list goes on and on.
And to those complaining about spam texts from third party corporations, get used to it. That's is standard in almost every country you'll visit if you travel enough. That shouldn't factor in your review, and if it does, ignore that review. But this is a level of general incompetence and poor customer service that is breathtaking in its inanity, and from my experience, easily topping every country I have ever visited. Do better, much better.
Amigo sin límite?
Se fueron mis datos en Facebook en un paquete sin límite telcel. Ya hice la prueba de solo abrir Facebook sin links adicionales y efectivamente se gasta única y exclusivamente usando Facebook cuando se supone que entra en redes sociales ilimitadas. En un rato más lo probaré con WhatsAp, falta que también se estén gastando ahí.

It speaks for itself that the bulk of reviews here originate from non-native customers and often relate to non-native issues such as international travel, sim card transfers, cancelation etc ...
As a service provider telcel has great coverage, low latency, and offers a wide range of plans and add-on services without forcing a feature or service into a bundle that you'll never use.
In EEUU & Canada you cannot even obtain a sim card from a Telco provider (eg Verizon, AT&T) without a long term contract and various wickets to pass through such as credit check, national ID, etc ... There's also no PAYG options outside using shady 3rd party sim cards from convenience stores. At least in Mexico you have options to use OXXO cell which is backed by a large chain.
My experiences have been that you get what you put into things in life. If you expect others to be supportive of your buyers remorse or lack of understanding in how charges and culturally how complaining isn't seen as a human right in Mexico then first why not attempt to learn the language before buying a sim card ...
Think about someone trying to do what you are doing here in Mexico in your native land.
(1) Would they even be allowed to gain any residency status
(2) Would they even be able to purchase a nationwide cell provider pay as you go sim card
(3) If they could, would customer service bend over backwards for them if they came in demanding to speak to a manager in Spanish with zero attempt to communicate natively in your language or respect your cultural and societal norms?
Don't assume you know what you don't know because that's how it works where you're from.
Travel to experience different cultures BUT respect that culture and adapt to it, don't fight it and especially don't slander on the internet just because you are ignorant and indifferent towards an entire culture.
Topped Up; Got No Call Time, BUT THEN...
I needed to call my bank in the US to activate my acct, but also needed to top-up my phone to do that.
I went to a Telcel store in San Cristobal de las Casas yesterday and paid $100 for phone & WiFi service. Since then, I've been unable to call my bank. I always get a message stating Service is disrupted, or another long message in Spanish I've no clue about.
I was spoiled in SE Asia because phone service providers also use English in automated messages.
I forgot to get a receipt, which is a common error of mine. You're gonna need that if there's any problem! Anyway, I just returned from Telcel a few minutes ago, and inquired (complained nicely) about not getting to make one call. The same sales girl that "helped" me yesterday was there. She was very nice and I "think" she told me that for the amount I paid, I could not make toll-free calls to my bank. So, now, I'm tempted to believe that many fiery complaints about Telcel with contentions that they are a criminal organization are unfair. Most of the problems may be due customers and sales clerks failing to communicate effectively. I've now modified my complaint to be a cautionary tale with helpful advise: First of all, ask your sales person for his or her name just to be friendly. That puts a person in the spotlight and they become more conscientious; Secondly, take a note in Spanish explaining what you want. Senior Google might assist you if you're Spanish challenged. Then, the clerk fully understands what you require; Lastly, do NOT leave the shop until you've tried to use your phone! If you cannot make a call, voila! They must show you then and there what the matter is, or give you a refund. Ha-ha! Little time wasted !!!

Fatal la falta de empatia y deseos de ayudar a los clientes de plan, tienes que ofrecerle tu las opciones incluso así se niegan consultando supervisores que de ventas nada saben. Incluso le ofreces pagar 4 meses que quedan de plan forzoso porque solo te falta 1 para poder aplicar oferta de comprar un teléfono aun así se niegan o sea que ni pagando tus 4 meses restantes para culminar un plan forzoso aceptan, para incrementar tu pago a otro plan son de lo peor en todas las sucursales es igual en algunas más groseros e incapaces que en otras. En plaza carso que debería ser excepción todos sentados les vale vender, increíble que esto suceda por eso cada vez tienen menos usuarios de plan. No hacen absolutamente nada por estimularlos y conservarlos. Deberían irse todos al socialismo, es donde encajan perfectamente.

Nefasto el Internet telcel hogar, llevo un mes, me cortaron el Internet antes del mes, trabajo desde casa y me generaron un gran problema con la empresa, y me están cobrando dos meses. Ya he llamado a atención a clientes y no me resuelven nada, ya que se con ese plan pagaba 500 al mes y ahora resulta que debo 1200. Es la peor porquería que he adquirido, no debería existir esta "compañia" ratera, te engañan para que adquieras sus inútiles productos. Estoy muy arrepentida de haberme acercado a esta "empresa" para resolver mi problema de Internet.
