EXTREME WARNING, MINORS EXPOSED TO VIOLENT AND DISTURBING CONTENT THAT CANNOT BE STOPPED, CONSTANT MASS DELIVERY


The mobile lines used by my children have been receiving repeated messages containing links to highly disturbing content, including murders, attempted kidnappings, police violence, migration in violent contexts, and war footage. It is practically impossible to stop these messages. The harassment is constant throughout the entire day and even after requesting cancellation through every available channel, the messages continue without control. This content is generated by UnoTV and distributed by Telcel with absolutely no filtering toward minors.

My children do not even have phones precisely to avoid this type of exposure. These messages are reaching devices marketed by Telcel as “safe” for children, which makes the situation even more serious.

This content is not requested. It is pushed directly through their own network, using sensationalist headlines designed to generate clicks, exposing minors to violent and disturbing material that should never reach them.

We followed all instructions given by the company. Reports were filed, official complaints were submitted, REPEP registration was completed, and multiple tickets were generated across calls, emails, chats, and social media. Nothing has worked.

Even after being told by Telcel Customer Service in Chihuahua that the issue had been escalated and would be resolved within 24 hours, the messages continue, including during nighttime hours.

There is no real way to unsubscribe, especially on devices designed for children. Despite multiple formal requests through every possible channel, the content keeps being delivered.

In addition, this has already led to corporate consequences. We will cancel all corporate lines associated with our companies, file formal complaints with authorities, and actively alert the community about this serious failure in protecting minors and preventing harm.

We have also notified Huawei as the manufacturer of these devices, since their products are being compromised by the network that allows this type of content to reach children.

This situation represents serious legal violations, including consumer protection laws, data protection laws, telecommunications regulations, and laws protecting minors.

• Articles 8, 15, and 16 of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, due to the unauthorized use of personal data.
• The General Law on the Rights of Children and Adolescents, by exposing minors to violent and harmful content without protection.
• Article 191 of the Federal Telecommunications and Broadcasting Law, for failing to guarantee safe services free from harmful or unsolicited content.
• REPEP regulations under PROFECO, for sending unauthorized communications to registered lines.

I encountered problems while in Mexico…

I encountered problems while in Mexico and I was unable to get customer support in English.

We purchased a Telcel amigo sin illimite plan. The store clerk assured us that we'd be able to phone to Canada. When I attempted to make a very important phone call, I was dismayed that it didn't work. After failed attempts to get customer service in english and after searching the internet I realized that I needed to register with a passport I.D. The regulation states: all Mexican phone plans (prepaid and postpaid) require official identification to be linked to the user's line by June 30, 2026. I wanted to use this plan for the month of February, 2026. I spent precious time attempting to register but the system would allow me to get all my information recorded and then would have an error message. Instead of advising customers that the system was overloaded or that the system was not working, the message stated "Please try again later". I tried several times, even in the middle of the night. The website said that I could go to any Telcel physical location to get registered. When I went out of my way to go to a Telcel store, the clerk indicated that registration could only be done by a head office which was not in a convenient location for me. Not only had I wasted my time but I wasted my money because that plan was not usable. I had also added service through recharge.com thinking that it might solve the problem. That was a waste of money as well. I ended up paying more money to purchase an older phone chip that didn't require registration. Since registration in Mexico is mandatory as of June, it shouldn't have been a problem for me in February. The store telcel agent kept my 3112419577 chip when he inserted another chip.

I request a refund of 200 pesos for the package that didn't work and 100 pesos that I paid for a top up. If your system cant accept registrations you should not give people the option of purchasing packages. There will be many dissatisfied customers to complain via social media.

Borraron su numero sin avisar.

Imagina que un dia estas de tranquilo usando tu numero y te lo cierran por no haber recargado lo suficiente sin AVISAR absolutamente ni un dia antes, no puedo creer la incompetencia de una compañia que es medianamente grande, sus servicios dejan mucho que desear al usuario y ni decirles que tomen en cuenta las reseñas por que seguramente no lo hagan. Solo espero que minimo tomen eso en cuenta si no se quieren quedar sin usuarios. 🤷

Difficult activation, but good signal

I purchased a Telcel tourist eSIM online while traveling in Mexico because my previous eSIM was not working properly sometimes. However, the activation process did not work as expected. I had to visit a Telcel office in CDMX and spent about an hour there before the activation was finally completed. Even after that, it took more than 24 hours before the eSIM actually started working. Ironically, once it started working, the signal quality was very good.

Telcel provides less service at higher cost to Mexico than nearly any cellular provider in the world, and inhibits its country’s economy and growth. This company should be put to death.

Pésimo servicio pos venta y ante…

Pésimo servicio pos venta y ante cualquier trámite. Pago un plan de 700 mensuales por 8gb, dice "Redes sociales ilimitadas" pero consume tus datos, eso "ilimitado" te lo dan cuando ya no tienes saldo, puedes seguir usando algunas aplicaciones, pero tu gb te los consume sin restricción. Reportas un problema, nunca responen, nunca solucionan, pero te retrasas 1 hora, con el pago, y te marcan casa 1 minuto cómo si mis 700 pesos les fuera a faltar para comer. Definitivamente hay mejores opciones y con la nueva covertura de muchas compañías afiliadas a Tesla, 1000 veces mejor que estás ratas azules

Se roban tus datos sin explicación

Recargue mi celular el dia 22, y para el dia 26 ya no tenia datos. Cabe mencionar qué solo dos veces lo he usado para ver tv y en ambos casos compré un paquete de datos ilimitados por 2 horas, y parece ser que a telcel le vale y se consume los datos normales. No soy el único, preguntando con compañeros, tienen exactamente el mismo problema. Haciendo portabilidad a otra compañía pero ya. Estafadores

Intenté cambiar mi plan Telcel a uno más básico ya que no estoy viviendo en México.

Me dicen que tengo que ir físicamente a hacer el cambio de plan. No voy a regresar a México en un año. ¿Pero para hacer la cancelación sí se puede hacer por teléfono?!

¿Cuál es su lógica? Son unos hipócritas. Su servicio al cliente es igual que nuestro país, tercermundista. Como no les da pena. Es un fastidio total cualquier interacción que he tenido con ustedes desde hace más de 15 años de ser cliente.

No entiendo por qué es tan complicado todo esto, por qué no actualizan su aplicación, que es terrible para usar, al igual que su portal.

Me impresiona lo cuadrado que son para hacer cambios y para tener diferentes soluciones.

Telcel tiene para recargas un juego de palabras confuso que te lleva a poner dinero en Paquete o Saldo,si por confusión pones saldo,(y es muy fácil confindirse pues una página te lleva a la otra)este lo puedes llegar a gastar en un día, literalmente, de manera inexplicable. Ya me ha pasado varias veces con recargas de 200$
