I booked five Emirates airline tickets…
I booked five Emirates airline tickets to Pakistan for our summer holidays through Best Air Fares. After booking, they sent us e-tickets, but I later noticed that no flight numbers were included.
Just two weeks before our departure, I received an email stating that our tickets had been cancelled. When I called their customer service, I spoke to a representative named Aniket, who was very rude. I asked why our tickets had been cancelled, and he told me that Emirates had cancelled them. He also assured me that I would receive a full refund within 24 hours.
When the refund did not arrive, I contacted Emirates directly. At first, they could not find any booking under our names. After checking further, they confirmed that the booking had existed but had been cancelled by Best Air Fares, not by Emirates.
I then called Best Air Fares again and spoke to a manager. When I explained what Emirates had told me, she claimed that Emirates was lying. When I asked for my refund, she refused to help and simply told me to contact my bank, saying there was nothing she could do.
The company’s address is 160 City Road, London.
Based on my experience, I urge people to be extremely cautious when dealing with Best Air Fares. My family was left without tickets just two weeks before our holiday, and I have still had to pursue my refund. I will also be reporting this matter to the relevant trading standards authorities and, if necessary, taking legal action through the courts
