Shady company that will try to steal your money

Wish I could give 0 stars. I ordered a merch item through them and over a month goes by and they still hadn’t even sent shipping info! They are impossible to contact, no phone number, it took me a week of repeated emails to finally today get the response “sorry we didn’t realize but we’re all out of this item.” Why was my order sitting there pending for over a month? Why didn’t anyone notice or notify me sooner? Pretty sure they would have just held on to my money if I hadn’t harassed them. And even worse, the item I ordered that’s apparently out of stock it still listed for sale on their website. Shady company with no customer service, they should be reported and put out of business.

Refused Refund for Missing Package

Pre-ordered a vinyl from them in November '25 that went out for delivery to an undeliverable address in February '26 (my full street address with an incorrect zipcode)

USPS tried to retrieve my item, but it went back into the mail system incorrectly and was re-delivered to yet another address that isn't mine. MerchCollective's AI chatbot said I was not eligible for a refund. When I pushed back, they set me up with a human's email who told me to let them know if I did not have the package within two days.

I've contacted them multiple times since then to no avail and have been forced to file a chargeback with my bank.

Uncommunicative & Untrustworthy company

Incredibly untrustworthy company. I ordered a record from them well over a month ago and it shipped right away, but some kind of error, due to no fault of my own, happened during shipping. The company told me that the shipping address was wrong and it was returned to sender. After reviewing it, I confirmed that I did put the correct address that I've been living at for several years and have received hundreds of packages at. I reached out to the company and received a bot response, but after a few days was told they would ship me out a new one once my record reached their warehouse. That was two weeks ago. I've sent dozens of emails and no responses to any of them, with the exception of a couple "we've reached out to our warehouse, stay tuned" kind of emails with zero follow up. I've given them plenty of time to resolve the issue, asking several times if we could come to a solution and just no response on anything. No refund, no nothing. I feel like this company scammed me out of my money.

I ordered a Rob Thomas LP July 12th

I ordered a Rob Thomas LP July 12th, no follow-up on my order for a whole month, and their web page states 2-8 shipping days. It is now August 11th, and I have not heard about my order. They charge you for the product but don't deliver and forget about any customer service! All I see is "we are getting ready for your order" Seriously a WHOLE month getting ready for my order? Sham.

Terrible

Terrible! Do not order from merchandise collective for the band Tedeschi Trucks - it is a huge rip off
Placed order ($178.00 worth of merchandise) have not received merchandise and they have not replied to any of my numerous email inquiries! Status of order still indicates “order placed” has not been updated since I placed order on 12/11
But they charged my credit card on 12/12! There was no delay in them getting their money…

The Merch Collective cancelled my order without notice and charged me $32.11

I placed an order on behalf of myself and a few friends. The order went through perfectly fine, but 3 days later I was notified by email that the order had been cancelled. They did not try to contact me first to make inquiries, they just completely cancelled the order. To add insult to injury, they didn't even refund the entire amount. The Merch Collective charged me $32.11 to cancel my order.

I wholeheartedly applaud businesses that have good security measures to combat fraud, but to not contact the customer first shows very poor customer care.

They did not explain the exact reason why it was flagged/cancelled but suggestions were:

-Using a VPN
-Discrepancy or distance between billing/shipping addresses.

I think something like 25% of the internet utilize VPNs to protect their privacy, as do I. There is nothing inherently nefarious about use of a VPN. I don't recall seeing anything on their website warning potential customers that using a VPN may automatically cancel your order without notice.

As for billing/shipping address discrepancies. I provided my home address as the billing address, but the shipping address is a shipping depot just on the other side of the US/Canada border. Shipping items from the US to Canada can get expensive, not just shipping cost but additional duties applied are often much higher compared to picking the item up on the other side of the border and paying the duty when you cross over. Again, this is a common practice, and what if I was shipping the item as a gift? Once again, if they had simply contacted me and inquired this could have been avoided.

To top it off, one of the items that were purchased are no longer available on their website, so I can't even ask one of my freinds to place the order for us. Worse still, two of the friends that I ordered for had the opportunity to purchase the items while they were travelling, but because I let the group know I was placing the order and would order for anyone else interested, they passed. So, they missed out twice, and I'll be the one they will be disappointed with.

Do not make any purchases through The Merch Collective, as apparently there's no guarantee your order will actually go through and they'll rip you off while they're at it.

I've made inquiries with the company via several channels of contact if I could place the order again and how that would be achieved. I have not heard back from them.

Do not buy anything through The Merch Collective. They're uncommunicative and untrustworthy. Be ye warned.
