I have a classic wind up Omega watch that would not wind up, the watch is of huge sentimental to myself so was a bit worried about taking it to Timpsons to be repaired. I was quoted around £300 for the watch to be sent away which is a reasonable price, Matty the owner put me at ease and said that he would take a look at the watch before it was sent off to see if it could be repaired it in store, I am so glad that he did as it was only a loose screw inside the watch. Matty repaired it and only charged £15 for the repair. I cannot recommend the Timpson Sudbury store enough and especially Matty. Thank You.

As I was in Tesco and there is a Timpsons outside I popped in to get a battery for my car key fob. After checking their book they said it would be £24! Later in the day I left Halfords with said battery after paying £1.69!!! Timpsons should be ashamed of themselves.

Dropped my bedroom curtains off at the rothwell Leeds Morrisons branch for dry cleaning, was charged £60, for them to come back damaged, creased and 2 small black marks that weren’t there when dropping them off. A very unhelpful member of staff that didn’t seem to have a clue what he was talking about , requested his details so complaint could be made, he refused and said he didn’t have to give this information, so the complaint is now in the hands of head office. Eagerly awaiting my response

Now 3 visits to timpsons had a total of 7 keys cut not 1 as opened my front door last timpsons staff member gave me 2 keys saying 1 of them should fit guess what none of them work again joke of a firm

Took watch in for battery in Loughborough centre although had my doubts it would work again. The two lovely men in the shop spent ages, changed the battery cleaned it and did there best to get it working. Unfortunately not to be and it was not worth me paying for a service. But I was very impressed with their effort

£9 to cut a key, let alone a tiny key is extortionate!

I had a new battery for my watch and the Timpsons repair man left scratch marks on my watch.

When I ask for a refund for the damage, he was rude and refused to give me my refund and told me that I should expect scratches as there is no guarantee that it won't happen.

I tried to speak to the Timpsons customer service and was told to email them.

I emailed them But no reply!

I do not recommend Timpson!!

Took my £200 navy blue mixed wool coat for cleaning when it came back the coat was bleached the guy sent a piture to his manager who said it was caused by alcohol solvent he said they will rapply the colour .
Over a week later got the coat back with a letter from timpsons centre of excellence claiming claiming the colour it was the coat manufacturer fault. Please keep away from this company they will never except responsibility and their overall service these days is very low quality

I put my trousers in to be dry cleaned and when I went to collect them they said they couldn't find them. I made two wasted trips back to the store as the shop manager said he had to ring all 56 stores and none of them had my trousers. He admitted there had been a spate of things going missing recently. Eventually he rang this morning and said he would send out a claim form as couldn't explain what had happened but they couldn't find them. These were original period trousers which I bought for living history displays as I am a military reenactor so cannot replace and l now need to source reproduction which isn't easy. I would not use Timpsons dry cleaners again because from what the manager said they seem to have a lot of things going missing with no explaination why.

I had a great experience on Thursday in Timpsons set in Sainsburys store at Colton Village Leeds. Matt was the lovely gentleman that helped me. I have a favourite bag that I have been trying to get mended for quite sometime. I have been quoted between £100 & £170 from specialist bag repairers. I was recommended last week to give Timpsons a try. Matt repaired it for me for £5. I am a very happy customer. Great customer care. Thank you

Appalling service. Damage customer items, then try to weasel out of taking ownership of the problem. Constantly claim someone will contact you and then doesn’t.

Clearly out of their depth but avoid at all costs until they sort out their staffing problems.

The convenience will soon be over shadowed by the service.

asked for a price for a simple yale key to be cut was quoted £9.00 which i think is extortionate so didn't bother. went to my local hardware store it was £5.00 for 1 key or £9.00 for 2,how can timpsons justify these prices? Needless to say I'll be avoiding them in the future.

On Monday 30-12-24 went into my local Timsons inside Tesco stores - Streatham high road to replace battery for my car keys under guarantee.
I was served at around 1120 am )didn't get the name ) by a staff member with no reply to my greetings , attempted changing the battery on my car keys with no joy . He informed me after 3 unsuccessful attempts that I need to take my car keys to Car Dealership for them to sort it out . I managed to get them working after popping into a local hardware store bought the respective batteries and problem sorted.
I feel that the 3 attempts made by your staff member could be either using the dead batteries or it may be saving money for the company.
Not impressed - Please cover this on your staff training.

Went in to get new replacement soles for a pair of leather boots at a Timpsons concession in Morrisons Dumbarton The employee took two seconds to look at the soles and then quoted £50 for them. Felt like asking him if he was having a laugh!! Honestly where do they get those prices from? Needless to say I declined. He did wish me a good day so brownie points for manners but come on….. get real!! How on earth can a couple of soles cost £50??

I know, I know! I should have known better. I took a pair of LK Bennet shoes into Timpson situated next to Sainsbury’s The Willows Torquay. I asked for the shoes to be resoled (the soles are leather). When I went to collect them they’d placed a black plastic coving over the original leather sole. Not what I’d asked for. The man who served me was indignant to say the least when I said it was not what I’d asked for. Went in a week later and the man who’d originally served me stated it was what I’d asked for. I most certainly didn’t. When checking the shoes the new leather sole was badly applied, and just glued over the existing sole (not what I’d asked for) . The male was rude and obnoxious. I pointed out that they’d got paint on the sole and had also the thing they’d stuck onto the shoes was rough and obviously not finished properly. As we left, he stood there glaring at us, trying to intimidate us. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I’m too scared to go back and get my shoes because of their aggressive attitude.

My wife paid £29 for them to replace a fob battery totally ripped off .. I bought 5 for £3.49 from Amazon

After a 12 week wait for a quote to repair my watch-strap and a visit by my wife to enquire after progress, I had received no quote. When I telephoned I was told the repair to the strap would cost just under £4,000, Yes, four thousand pounds!!! I was told the watch would be returned to the shop and I would be informed. After a further two weeks I have still not heard. What kind of service is this?

Wouldn't cut a key because it wasn't supplied by them,..even though the were out of stock. Won't be returning !

utterly disgusted with the service I received at Timpson's recently. I took my watch in on 30/10/2024 for a simple buckle replacement, a task I assumed would be straightforward and swift.

From the outset, I was given inaccurate estimates of when my watch would be ready. Despite repeated assurances and promises, the repair was constantly delayed. Each time I followed up, I was met with the same excuse: "We're still waiting for the order." It felt like I was constantly chasing them, rather than them proactively keeping me informed.

To make matters worse, an employee named Chris displayed a shocking lack of professionalism. He repeatedly fobbed me off, promising to call me back with updates but never did. This blatant disregard for customer service is unacceptable.

Overall, my experience with this Timpson branch was nothing short of a nightmare. The combination of false promises, constant delays, and unprofessional behavior has left me incredibly frustrated. I strongly advise anyone considering using their services to think twice and avoid this branch altogether.
