I was a passenger on an NYC to Arlington bus departing from NYC at 3:00 pm on October 12, 2015. I was bringing my bags to the bus with the intent of storing my larger roller underneath and bringing my smaller bag aboard to keep it close to my person (I had done this without any problem on the outgoing Tripper bus reservation from Arlington to NYC on October 9, 2015). I wanted to keep this close to me because this smaller bag contains my professional Sony a7 digital camera and lenses. However, the driver told me I could not bring the bag aboard the bus on this trip. I said I would redistribute items to a set I could bring and the remainder in the larger roller to go in the storage compartment. I began to move items out of the bags when I heard a crash. The driver had quickly flipped my bag vertically while I was transferring items, and my camera with the f1.8 55mm lens had fallen out of the unzipped bag onto the asphalt, damaging parts of the camera body and the lens hood. The driver was not apologetic but proceeded to load my bags after I continued to distribute and finished moving my items. I boarded the bus and arrived in Arlington approximately 5 hours later. I asked for the driver's name, and he asked why. I reminded him of the situation and that I wanted to have his identification for reference. He simply replied that his name was "Godfrey." (possibly spelled differently) I know his actions towards damaging my equipment were not malicious or intentional, but I believe the Tripper Bus Company is responsible for any repair/replacement costs to my equipment as I was doing what was required before being told I could board the bus from NYC to Arlington. I have contacted Tripper with this situation multiple times but have received no reply whatsoever. Their commenting form provides no confirmation to your email that your responses were read or received. This has been a very frustrating experience with no response from anyone at the company.

Friendly driver with good Jazz selection but the bus was way too hot.

Never having taken this company's bus (or any other) to and from New York City from Arlington VA, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised on several fronts: the price for the trips was very reasonable, the buses were clean, the seats comfortable, and the drivers courteous. The buses left on time and arrived at their destinations early. The trips were not crowded. For the most part, the rides were quiet -- although one woman had to be reminded twice that loud conversation on a cell phone is not permitted. The interior temperatures were kept very comfortable. We'll use the Tripper bus the next time we go to New York City, for sure.

The bus left on time, was clean, and the drivers were friendly. The Wi-Fi is poor, however. Great value for getting to NYC.

My only complaint is that my online ticket purchase stated that I had to print a copy of the ticket, which is not always easy when traveling. If an electronic (phone) version is acceptable, please state that on the ticket info. Thanks,

Buses left on time which is great and estimated time of arrival is relatively accurate. The bus drivers and very friendly and customer service is quick and supportive. The buses themselves are decent for non-luxury buses and wifi isn't the fastest but that's anticipated. Sometimes the outlet plugs don't work so anticipate charging your electronics before-hand! Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to take Tripper Bus again - I love it.

Tripper is reliable and inexpensive. It is a convenient way of getting from Bethesda to NYC. Other passengers generally very respectful of fellow travelers. I ride this bus frequently.

Several drawbacks. Usually no rest stops and the bathrooms are not very clean; not always announced by driver. The bus stops to change drivers going up to NYC and this adds time to the ride. Wifi is not powerful enough to supply service to the entire bus even when not full.

Tripper bus has great reliable service. I have been using them for 3 years and they have been consistent and in fact have improved service over this time. The rare occasion when I had an issue, their customers service was responsive and resolved the matter quickly and to my satisfaction.

Everything is in the title. I also appreciated the free bottle of water.

Pleasant buses. Good drop off and pick up locations. Never as hectic as cheaper buses (i.e. Bolt and Megabus) Biggest draw back for me is the elimination of the rest stop. Love to stretch my legs, have option to buy food or drink and the bus rest room leaves much to be desired. Traffic around Bethesda adds disproportionate time to the ride. Wish we could skip Bethesda, How about adding a Tysons bus pick up?

It's always a good experience with their services.

I have used various bus services to travel from DC to NY for the last year. Tripper is the best of them all. No question.

The trip from Bethesda to NYC and back was on time and comfortable. I was able to sleep and arrived rested.

If you're looking for an economical mode of transportation--and, may I add, Amtrak fares are absurd, especially on the weekend--Tripper Bus has it all. To minimize travel time, avoid rush hour departure and arrival times. That's the only way to have a tolerable bus experience. The drop off and pick up locations in NYC are very central--right by Penn Station, by the E, A, and C lines. The fellow who checks passengers in at the Bethesda stop is so kind and polite. Buses tend to be cramped but that's is part of the bargain. Lastly, the free ticket you get after purchasing six tickets is fantastic. No one else does that, to my knowledge.

I had a great expirience taking the bus from Arlington, VA to New York, will not drive again. The bus was on time, the driver was excellent

Once or twice in almost two years, buses were seriously late. Mostly, however, it's been pleasant service and very little to complain about.
