PG TIPS POOR QUALITY TEA DUST
Poor Customer service in relation to a poor product.
Cuts to PG TIPS tea bag quality . dryed out dust in the bags - took 3 bags to make one cup of poor tea. Cut backs on cost savings leading to very poor quilty not seen before in 7 years. Another lost customer.
But do they care .... nope - they got your money
Unilever / Dove defective roll-on
Unilever, including Dove, truly could not care less about customers. Do not bother reporting bad experiences with their products, you will just be insulted in return. I recently engaged them about a roll-on which spilt its entire contents on our carpet after trying to apply it underarm and the roller ball came completely off. I consider my time and effort in engaging with Unilever to have been a colossal waste of time. Their response will inevitably be, here are a few Rands, stop your complaining, go and buy another of our potentially faulty products.

Pg tips Very poor quality tea bag’s keep splitting and very poor quality tea and yet they seem to think it’s still ok to sell a substandard product in the shops.
I did complain and this was the reply, basically wanting me to do there market research for them .
Surely product reliability and quality should be done before putting on supermarket shelves??

As you may have heard, PG tips has switched to fully biodegradable and plant-based tea. As the UK's favourite tea brand (which makes nine billion cups of tea a year), and being the first major tea brand to make the change, the switch to plant-based hasn’t been without its challenges.
When we started switching, we noticed that some of our tea bags weren’t working so well with the new plant-based material, meaning there were some problems with the tea bags’ seal. We’ve been working extremely hard to fix these problems and thanks to feedback like yours we have made huge improvements at our factory in Manchester.
We always knew this would be a challenge, but we also knew how important it was to introduce biodegradable tea bags for the planet, and our consumers thought so too. We want to say a huge thank you for being with us on this journey to make a more sustainable cuppa and we really appreciate all your feedback and help to get this right.
In order to provide you with the best possible solution, it would be really helpful if you could let us know the following details:
- Can you confirm if you are based in the UK or ROI
- Any photos of the issue
- How much did the product cost
- Did your tea bag leak in the box / caddy or when being brewed in the cup / teapot?
- Does it appear that they have leaked from a seam or from a rip/tear in the bag?
- If the problem appears to be a seal, would this be an end seal, or a seal at the back of the teabag? (If the bag is pulled into a pyramid shape the end seals are on either end and the back seal runs down the middle of the bag.)
- If your tea bag leaked whilst being brewed, did the tea bag appear intact before adding hot water?
- Could you give an estimate of what percentage of tea bags are affected?
- Can you please provide the embossed number/letter/symbol located just under the lid (on the back of pack) or on the base of the pack (with the lot number).
I would like to offer you a full refund by way of apology for this. You can use this to get yourself another box of PG tips. Alternatively, you can use this to try any of our other Unilever brands such as Knorr, Colman's and many more.
What we will do is raise a refund form, we will then send that form to you via email. Once you receive it, you can input your account details but we do not see that information and the refund is processed through an automated system so your details are not shared or seen at any point.
If this is okay, please confirm in your response and we will get this raised for you.

Horrible ice cream (Ben & Jerry), Unilever loves $
Never again will I eat any Ben & Jerry's ice cream! What a terrible product. They even have the nerve to sell T-Shirts & other merchandising items to promote this putrid brand. Lots of sugar, low on flavor with a sprinkle of milk. I read that some lady fed it to her dog and he died, not surprised. Unilever, shame on you for selling a crappy product at a premium price
They do not care
Used for years…Changed their tablets without stating on packaging and it caused me a major allergy. Birthday and Easter ruined, weeks of hell. Offered me £20, then I said it wasn’t good enough so they then asked for photos and I waited months to be offered £20 again. Awful awful company, would never buy again. They do not care about their customers
Slow service
I emailed Consumer Affairs SA asking where I could find Pimento All Spice. The lady replied they don't make it, please send a photo of the product I am talking about. I took a photo of the book, The South African Herb and Spice Cookbook by Marty Klinzman, sponsored by Robertsons. To date, I have not had a reply, despite two more emails requesting a recipe.
For those of you who are interested in the recipe for Allspice, usually used in puddings, this is one received from a friend:
Whisk 3 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1 1/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg, and a pinch of ground cloves, then use as a 1:1 replacement for ground Allspice in a recipe.

I contacted customer services thinking they may wish to know but obviously not as I have been ignored.
I won't be buying that brand again.

Colman's Mustard
Have you noticed the difference in taste?? Since this company bought out Colman's of Norwich they have completely ruined a 200+ year old British product. It seems that our American cousins find our fine old english mustard too hot for their delicate gums and have decided to dumb the taste down to make it taste more like the unpalatable American hot dog mustard. Another fine English product ruined by the American corporates in their quest for money over quality.

Waarom moeten die wasmiddelen zo verpakt worden dat ze zonder bruut geweld niet open te maken zijn en daarna niet meer bruikbaar omdat de verpakking niet meer dicht kan.
Zullen we de kinderen gewoon weer gaan opvoeden zodat de wasmiddelen weer normaal verpakt kunnen worden?

Recently I tried to find out where is Hellman's "real" mayonnaise made.
I was completely gobsmacked when they told me that for security reasons I was not allowed to know.
Which as you can imagine increased my curiosity by a hundred fold.
Only when I demanded to know that I deserved to know where is the food that I put in my children's sandwiches every morning made I got response from someone in United states.
Just to tell me that it is made in Europe.
Then I decided to ask how come they call their product "Real" if it has water and sugar in it.
Answer was that it meets the standards.
Absolutely unbelievable experience with what it turns out is another company bought by an American conglomerate which will happily put profits before anything else.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service - a simple request for a SDS for Domestos - said they would send but didnt and emails apparently have to be approved before sending. After my 3rd call they admitted that my email had been recorded wrongly but they will send and I should receive after approval - whenever that may be!
