We booked Universal Removals for our move from London to Madrid, and are extremely happy with the service they provided. Price was very, very competitive, and excellent service. The furniture was picked very fast and with good care. It was then delivered very fast: even before the deadline initially set! They used a small truck, so no parking issues, and no hidden extra cost. The document was very clear and detailled, and they just delivered. Would very much recommend them again.

Having your stuff moved from one country to another is a stressful process, but I would happily recommend Universal Removals.

Communication was good, Nigel was happy to talk through any questions and worries that I had, and explained all the different options regarding cost etc.

My things arrived in condition, and whilst the guy who delivered my things didn't speak much english (so there was a bit of pointing and gesturing to where I wanted my things to go etc) he was super friendly.

Based in the UK, it provides a prompt and efficient service. Does a great assessment using facetime and then quickly (and accurately) assesses your shipment needs. Like most companies, they outsource with other companies and then that depends on how good they really are. However Nigel, who coordinates the move, was excellent. Prompt response, answers to things unknown, transparent and honest. Shipment arrived finally after 3 months (standard amount of time for shipping). The big selling point for me is that although he never did a move to what I am, he followed due diligence to get the answers and made it happen. I would definitely use this company again.

Excellent service from start to finish. Kept in contact every step of the way. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to move anywhere home or abroad.

Move from London to Lisbon
I have to say we probably threw every complication we could at Universal Removers - not knowing where we were moving to, how long we wanted storage, what floor our new apartment was and the final "need council/police" approval for an exact date.

Universal somehow navigated through all our obstacles and managed to deliver everything successfully!

an amazing team but a dishonest chief.
We have to pay Three hundreds more than forecasted because the company has forecasted a very BIG BIG truck despite the narrow access to our house.!!! We had warned the company by email....

I moved from the UK to Florida at the end of October and my boxes arrived today (17th December), much quicker than I'd expected

Universal Removals were very helpful and professional, and gave me all the forms and such needed to clear customs (which went through with no problem) and answered any queries I had promptly. Their service was also very affordable, no hidden or extra charges, and their online payment system allowed me to pay in stages and was very easy to use.
On the day, the driver turned up on time and loaded everything onto the van very quickly and everything is still in great condition after travelling 4000+ miles. Thank you to everyone involved!

We had a frustrating experience trying to get reliable quotes and communication about moving our house from Canada to Paris from at least a dozen other companies.

Universal got back to us very quickly, their quote was reasonable (and accurate in the end as we weren't charged any extra and fits exactly in the storage container we had arranged in France). Nigel was super pleasant, on top of communication between us and the various teams responsible, which is really half the battle with these types of things that are handled at a distance.

Our stuff arrived well packed, in perfect shape and well packed into the storage locker.

Thanks to all the teams involved, you made a considerably stressful experience much less so :)

I would recommend this company to everyone who are moving they are professional and very helpful. I was struggling to get removals from France to Spain and had had a quote from universal Removals but had not responded to the quote. Consequently about a week before I was due to move I rang Nigel and asked him if it was still possible to move me. Nigel worked really hard to get me a removals van and man for the date I asked even when the move was on a Sunday. Excellent service. Thank you Nigel and team!!!

Excellent service.. Booking process and pick up very straightforward.
A little delivery problem as we were sending to France.. Driver was charming but spoke virtually no English or French and didn’t appear to have GPS that could locate our house..
We eventually went and found him parked in the local village square and directed him to the house.. It was not a problem and he used his initiative to phone us and make a meeting point.. very pleased with the speed and efficiency and will use again..

First class company, very easy to deal with and the price was very good to include storage which was longer than planned. Nigel organised the collection & delivery with our recent move from France to UK perfectly and was able to change dates as needed. Mick & Tony at the France end worked hard in 35 degree heat and packed everything with care, no damage or breakages.
6 sugars Mick & mate were as good at the UK end.

Really nice to deal with, competitively-priced, plus a great service. The movers were brilliant and all my things arrived in perfect condition to Spain from London - something I didn't expect. Use Universal, definitely.
