Good value for money movers
Good value for money movers. Friendly crew that worked very hard. They communicated well and kept to the times that they said. We appreciated being to arrange times and dates that suited our move from one country to another. Good follow up service, especially collecting excess packaging.

There was an issue with the packing of my stuff at collection time. I was informed that blankets would be provided, but no blankets were provided.
However, luckily I had myself packed very well and that made all the difference. Nothing was damaged. But I worried for three weeks until the stuff was delivered.

Dear Eamann thanks for your comments regarding your move from Denmark to Co Mayo in Ireland re removals blankets we checked this query at the time and there was sufficient blankets for the 10 cubic meters booked with the Man and Van Service you booked however there was a little more volume collected than booked which we did not charge you any extra for in any case all items were packed safely on the van and once goods arrived in our depot in Suffolk 36 hours later we repacked using extra blankets then items were then stored for 2 weeks before going over to Ireland for your requested delivery date glad to hear there was absolutely no damage!

We received a very good price on our shipment from the UK to US; the packing team were incredibly efficient and careful; and the shipment arrived on time and in very good condition. There were no hidden charges. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

Brilliant service altogether
Although I am a fairly critical customer, I can't say a negative word about Universal Removals at all! We had a 4 head family household to transfer from the Uk to Sweden with 6 weeks of storage in between. The price was amongst the best offers but the service was great!
Communication was very efficient, quick and accurate, the movers very friendly and careful!
Although our goods must have been touched a few times until the arrived on our doorstep, there was only a small picture frame broken, nothing else at all!
5 stars from me - thanks for a good service!

Amazing service
Recently used the Universal Removals service and I can only say that was extremely satisfied with the service. Due to last minute requests I had to arrange the removal just with one day in advance, and they were able to help me with everything. They were able to allocate my pickup and delivery within perfect timing for me.
They were extremely professional and everything came in perfect conditions.

We vad expensive furniture picked up from Harrods and delivered to the Isle of Man and I cannot thank you enough for your professionalism, care and attention !

Safe transportation of our furniture
Some misunderstanding during the initial organising of this booking but the furniture arrived on time and undamaged. The delivery men in Cyprus were very professional and helpful.

Got the job done
Our shipment arrived with less damage than we have had on any previous move, although this is the first time that we have incurred customs delays and additional charges (so ensure that you plan a buffer into your moving allowance to allow clearance fees at the port if making an international move). There weren't any warm fuzzies or hand holding moments, but if you are seasoned and feel that you will have few questions that this might be the right company for you as the price couldn't be beat.

Dear Deb I am glad your 20 Foot Container Move from Chesham GB - Denver Colorado USA went relatively smoothly and thanks for your feedback, will try to give that fuzzy feeling as well in future! re customs exam charges it was indicated at time of quoting that you can get billed for these on arrival if USA customs decide to examine your shipment, this will then delay the arrival of the shipment by a few days this only tends to happen in USA & Australia and certainly not on European shipments. I presume the damage was very minimal as there is no record of you making a claim aginst our insurance company kind regards Universal Removals
Lack of information, last minute and unprofessional service
I did not receive all the information I should have before paying in full, in advance for the service. This led to considerable delays and confusion during the shipment - a total of 3 months between collection of items and delivery to destination caused by not knowing certain paperwork was required from me.
Insurance information was not forthcoming, terms and conditions not shared with me before payment. A high value, damaged item was not therefore covered by insurance.
Confusing communication and delays gave me a sense that United Removals were not experienced in international removals. I would not use them again.

Dear Gemma, we advise all clients in advance that all international shipments require the client have a Permanent Visa for the country they are moving to in advance of the shipments departure/arrival in your case into Dubai UAE. This is a regulation by the destination country and we request these documents at time of booking in your case you booked the shipment in your name and then only informed us after shipment had left and been consigned that only your partner with different surname had a visa and your visa had not yet been received by you. in which case it would have been better and saved the time delay at customs in Dubai had you booked the shipment in your partners name from the start apologies if you did not fully understand this right from the start. The delay at customs was a max of 2-3 weeks in total.
Regarding Insurance & Terms and conditions all these are provided by email they are also published on our website and claused on the booking form that you signed. As required by the insurance company you provided an itemised list of items you required Insurance for, if you left off an item from the insurance valuation form then that is not our fault however i note that you were able to make a claim for the one item which did not infact have any visable damage noteably a used computer monitor which you claimed for and the insurance company paid out for even though you stated to them "There is no external damage to the computer. The damage is visible when you turn the computer on - running visibly slower with green lines running down the screen at all times" Insurance companies do not usually pay out for "electrical derangement" regards Universal Removals
