On the day of installation I was so happy. Everyone I deal with there is so nice. However there was an issue with the installation (no problem, these things happen) but the installation was on the 2nd September and it is now the 17th and it still hasn’t been fixed. Trying to get hold of the aftercare support time is very difficult and honestly it has been so exhausting.

The team I finally spoke to were very nice, but they said they would come a week later to fix but I am currently at home waiting for them and I have not been contacted since last week so have no idea if they are even turning up today. It is so disappointing. If it wasn’t for this I’d have been so happy, it’s such a shame that I have to chase and chase just to get my system working properly.

So have had to amend the below review. Sorry upvolt but this sort of aftercare for an £8,000 system just isn’t good enough.

These guys were the best price of everyone that quoted me, including the council run scheme.

I was a bit worried that get what you pay for but not at all. I changed my mind a few times during this process and every time they were totally understanding and accommodating.

Their customer service team are so lovely and helpful and their installers were excellent. Every step of the way they have been professional and efficient.

I was a difficult customer and they went above and beyond for me. Big shout out to Felix for putting up with me, you were amazing!

I chose Upvolt because they were a local company with a good reputation.. And in this I was not disappointed.
The whole experience of having my solar panels and battery fitted was interesting and exciting. Everyone I dealt with from the office staff to the scaffolders to the drivers who brought equipment and took away the Rubbish and especially the installers and electricians themselves was friendly pleasant polite and efficient.
My system was up and running in one day. I strongly recommend this company.

I had my air source heat pump serviced and repaired by Mark. He arrived at the agreed time and carried out his tasks without delay leaving the area clean and tidy. The outside heat pump unit was also cleaned as part of the service which is a new addition to the service and very much appreciated.

Shontal arranged a timely appointment for our annual Air Source Heat Pump service with our preferred engineer, Keith.
Keith has been helpful since our installation 3 years ago and we have built a trusting relationship. He is professional, punctual and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Keith was efficient, friendly & knew exactly what needed to be done. He kept us informed all the way. We were delighted to open the door to him.

I noticed a leak in the cupboard around our hot water tank. Upvolt Sussex sent an engineer out very quickly and discovered the expansion tank needed replacing. After the parts were ordered Keith came out and changed and relocated the tank to a better position. He is very friendly and knowledgeable, going the extra mile to keep me informed of the issue, progress, and how he tests the system. Whilst here, he also spotted an intermittent issue with the diverter valve which can cause unnecessary use of the immersion heater and therefore energy use. Having had Keith here several times for annual services I fully trust and value his work. One improvement that is outside of Keith’s remit would be for the back office tech team to work out why emails end up in customers spam folder. I hadn’t spotted the works quote which delayed it by a day. Shontel who is also very friendly suggested it could be in spam (and was). All in all, a very good experience. Highly recommended.

Keith from Upvolt Sussex was punctual , polite and professional. He advised us on the issues we have with our existing 16 year old Solar system and explained our options in a concise and articulate manner and was a pleasure to speak with.

Keith has serviced our heat pump today. We often have him and as always he was very kind and professional. Clearly has a wealth of knowledge and is asset to the comapy.

Keith came and serviced our Ashp today, made a few adjustments, noted that there needs to be more pipe lagging and loft insulation needs to be put back after installation.
Great job.

Upvolt installed my panels 4 years ago. The system has been fine until now. It still runs and generates electricity, but it seems to have degraded to the point where in peak sun, mid-summer, it produces 10 to 15% less energy than it did when installed. That's a significant drop that shouldn't have happened. I contacted support and they've pretty much dismissed me and done nothing. So much for providing a 10 year warranty if they're not going to stand behind it. Caveat emptor.

Update (14-Sep-26): See below updates first. Still no response now, despite the claim (below) from UpVolt that they would look into it. I will have to give up at some point. Dropped the 3-star rating down to a single star now given their lack of response and false claims below.
Update (18-Aug-26): I first contacted UpVolt on 24-June-26 (almost two months ago). I have had to spend the past two months explaining to them how the system worked and how it's currently working, which was enough of a challenge.
On 3-August-26, they finally conceded that the system appears to have a problem and agreed to arrange an inspection.
I have chased them 4 times since then and still have yet to receive any response whatsoever, let alone a visit, despite their disingenuous reply below.

I’ve been unhappy with previous companies knowledge level around heat pumps. Great to have Keith here today, who knows his stuff, and was happy to answer all my questions. Good job.

Keith and Gino came to fit a thermostat and timer. As usual they did a great job. Explained how timer worked and left room tidy. They were polite and helpful. Both had worked on the set up of our system so it’s reassuring to know they understand it.

My recent experiences with this company was very positive.
Shontal despatched an engineer quickly and Keith diagnosed a problem with a leaky valve , ordered a new one and in less than a week job done
I would recommend this company and use them in the future.

Keith was the consummate professional as always with our latest service. We’ve been using these guys for four years or so and they’ve always been great.

After an initally great customer experience
we have a functioning system and after 3 years since fitting it produces a good amount of electricity. HOWEVER I have a fault in the indication system, in that our main array shows a double reading for that inverter. We have also never received the MCS certificate for that array from DEEGEE who have now changed their name to Upvolt Kent.
This business appear to be great with the instals but the all important legal paperwork (MCS/DNO) they often have to be chased and tend to seek it after installation (DNO) rather than before.(See other reviews) The director said to me on the phone that they never get turned down for smaller installations with retrospective applications.
I have attempted to contact Upvolt Kent multiple times with no response, as Deegee Victoria was good with recent communication (getting our 3 years late DNO approval, something the salesman said would be done before the instal). This was also an issue when they were Deegee, getting in contact and getting them to respond was very difficult (but not impossible). Really unhappy as we had a great relationship with them when we had a lot of issues with the initial solar edge installation, but I am really sorry to write this but given the distance from Ockenden to us (Cornwall) we are now an inconvenience to be ignored, we have no MCS for our main array, that is not acceptable.
