Look local first

Let me start with the positive, the bike itself is very nice; tight, good ride, looks good and most importantly my wife likes it. Now for the negative, due to a shipping snafu it took about two weeks to arrive. Not a big issue but when you are notified that your bike will arrive in 5 days then it’s a big letdown. So when the bike arrives I get it put together and find that the battery lock is frozen. Again, not a giant issue because you don’t need to get in there unless there’s a problem with your battery. But I feel something so obvious would have been checked prior to shipping. That is of course if there is any sort of quality control. And if that is something that is not checked or repaired it should be noted in the description so that a customer can make a better informed decision as to buy or not. In the end I bought the replacement lock directly from the manufacturer and replaced it myself. I think Upway has a way to go before they gain full confidence with customers in this market. Next time I will search high and low locally before purchasing a used bike. At least I would be able to inspect it myself to ensure its serviceability.

Our mechanics are highly skilled and experienced, but at times some aspects can be missed. To compensate for these rare cases, we offer a 12 Month Limited Warranty with every bike sold. This allows us to work with riders and their local shop to resolve any issues that may arrive in the 12 months period and on arrival. More details can be found on our site via the help section (small circle with a questions mark).

We recognize that this process was not the smoothest and that communication could have been better. We appreciate this feedback and will use this to improve on said processes.

My buying experience was outstanding

My buying experience was outstanding! The responses to my questions via chat were quick, personal and thorough (I have continued asking question even after my purchase, and the staff continues to provide quick, helpful information). The packaging was the best I have ever seen in over 20 years of serious biking. The bike arrived in excellent condition exactly as advertised. Thank you Upway Team - I love my new bike!

I purchased a gazelle bike

I purchased a gazelle bike, I un packaged it and put it together on my own. You had sent info card links that were accessible thru phone codes which I used to solve the set up questions I had. I did purchase the $75.00 set up package , but there was no information on how to access it. Were the phone accesbile links part of the $75 purchase.? I am happy with the bike overall, but I am wondering why I spent that money. Dazed and confused. Also I recieved the wrong Hex keys to Assemble the bike. I purchased the keys that worked.. One of Two that were sent.

Bike was dirty and missing parts

Bike was filthy. Dirt was caked in all of the nooks and crannies. So dirty that it's hard to imagine a full inspection was properly conducted. A simple wipe down would have sufficed, and a detailed cleaning would have been appreciated. I know I bought a used bike but it looked like it just got off the trails. Bike was also missing the bottle cage, bottle cage screws and battery connector downtube cover. It's also been nearly a month since I bought it and this is the first time anyone has reached out to ask about my experience. To be honest, I'm encouraging friends not to use this service. It just felt very transactional and cold. I don't usually complain but you asked. thx

Our process during the refurbishment process for all bikes includes a full cleaning of the bike, to ensure bikes arrive clean and tuned. We have a full washing room and team dedicated to taking care of bike aesthetics and presentation.

Nice bike. New to hub drive so big learning curve. Research eased my mind and ability.

Nice bike, a hub driven e-bike is a whole different beast. Bike came well packaged. Assembly instructions weren't bike specific but I have enough experience to assemble it without. Found the display instructions online to set the speed parameters. Bike doesn't have hydraulic brakes as advertised so 4 stars and possible future upgrade. Several similar bikes online for the same price that include fenders, rack and suspension seat post, though I doubt the hub motors and battery match the quality, longevity and reliability of a Bafang hub motor and panasonic battery cells included with the bike. Bike is very heavy at 70 lbs with battery and hard to pedal unless PAS is set to near maximum. But I brought it for the throttle drive so am happy with it. Set speed limit at 15mph to avoid excess battery sag and drain on the hills I need to climb. Added the above accessories, an upgraded thumb throttle and swept back handlebars to improve rideability and control.

Excellent customer service

The e-bike I bought with Upway had a faulty component that eventually stopped working. However, the customer service was responsive and excellent, and solved the problem as soon as they could. I was glad I bought my used e-bike through Upway, as I could talk to someone if something went wrong with my purchase – this was one of the reasons I decided against buying a used e-bike from some random person.

2022 norco sight VLT IS AMAZING!!!!

I love the bike!!! Shipping was a bit of a headache, but that was Fedex, not Upway. Packaging was great, bike was encased in expanding foam! There was a small plastic bracket i had to replace that broke, but they reimbursed me 2x for it! Customer service has been excellent as well! Answered all my questions promptly and i couldnt ask for a better price for the bike either. The 1 year warranty gives me a big relief as well whenmaking a large purchase like this!!! You wont regret using Upway!!!!

The website is easy to navigate, the ordering process went smoothly, the bike was carefully and securely packed, assembly instructions were great, I was able to put it together quickly and I was on the road in no time. The bike was an excellent value, too. Excellent experience all around

Excellent buying experience

Price is good, fast delivery, the bike is very nice and as described, works well. The one year warranty is a safe net while buying on line. Communication with staff is excellent and feedback is prompt.
