Bought a HAY balcony chair in red on 3rd August. Was first told this item was unavailable in galvanised steel… which was never the colour I ordered. Then when this was cleared up I was told there would be a wait of 1.5 to 3 weeks. Well it’s 12 September and there’s no chair. I’ve emailed twice for an updated and been ignored. Not good given the price I paid!

Fast delivery, well packaged to protect the item. Good prices.

Appalling company, I recommend avoiding purchasing from them online. I ordered some Jellycats, they use DPD to deliver, no email from the company or text from DPD. They were returned to Utility Design by DPD because I wasn’t in, no notification or ability to have delivered to my neighbour, a pick up point or left in a safe place which is standard. This company is now who trying to charge me £20 for the privilege.

Luckily I paid via PayPal and am charging this back - clearly trying to scam customers, there is no way that a small parcel would’ve cost £20 to deliver. There are plenty of other great online retailers selling Jellycat, this is not one of them.

Today I ordered two '&Tradition Flowerpot Pendant Light VP1' in matt black on the website of Utility Design. Price per lamp: £132.
I paid £264. in full by debit card and forwarded the order confirmation believing that everything was in order.

90 minutes later I received a phone call that only one lamp was for sale at the price of £132. The second lamp would cost £178. The person that called me stated that it was an error on their website that allowed me to order two lamps. Utility Design did NOT want to honour the ORDER CONFIRMATION that they had emailed me earlier in the day.

I purchased a Kartell unit which I’m very happy with, thank you.

It Arrived very quickly. Have bought from Utility before and it’s always great service. I would highly recommend.

I ordered a Noguchi coffee table on impulse. It is beautiful and I have wanted one for a long time. But after conversation with my family I realised that it was not the right time to buy an expensive piece of furniture. I wrote to them during the cooling off period. They responded swiftly, were kind and helpful and refunded my purchase. I will definitly come back.

I bought two Knoll Cesca chairs recently from Utility design and they arrived really fast. I’ve also found customer service to be prompt and helpful when I’ve had questions.

Recently had two sofas delivered from Utility and couldn’t be happier. The staff were brilliant; giving advice on the materials, colours and where to position the sofas. There were regular updates on delivery timescales and the Utility guys who delivered and set up the furniture were courteous and careful. If you are looking for modern, contemporary furniture I would highly recommend you try Utility.
