Awful company, too poor customer services.
Via van started with a good service, now it is awful, they dont have enough drivers, the customer service is too poor. They give you credit as compensations and you can only use £1 at a time, useless.
They bought electric cars which are only available to ride for 2 and a half hours and they fired many drivers, now those car are useless as well.
I hope a new company will come soon to Milton Keynes, so we can then definitely stop using Via Van. It is the worst company I ever had to use. Avoid it if you can

I was an early client of ViaVan and in the beginning, it worked pretty well. Generally the same sort of service as Uber and a bit cheaper. I introduced a lot of new clients and for a while it seemed ok.
Then the issues started. Timing for bookings went from a few mins in central London out to 15-20 mins. Then when you would book, the APP would say the driver had cancelled and another driver would be sent but it would be 10-20 mins for the car. Very annoying.
Gradually it got worse and worse until it is no longer viable or reliable. Every booking was a problem and while they would offer ride credit to compensate, the service is so poor it just doesn't work 99% of the time as a viable taxi / ride-sharing service. I asked for the balance on my account to be repaid and to close my account.
There are other companies out there doing this way better now and at same sort of prices. Don't use ViaVan. It is way too unreliable.

I tried to use it regularly to go to work from last 3 months but unfortunately very unreliable service as you never know when they will be too busy and have no drivers at all. It happens every other day.
I wouldn’t recommend to use this service for work or Airport as you might get late or miss the flight .

I used to be a committed viavan customer. About 1year to 6months ago, it was reliable and quick. Now it’s just become an absolute scam. You have to wait 5minutes for them to find a driver , only to say that no drivers are available ! This happened the last 10times I tried to order one, at 1am. They cancel after 15min wait, some drivers are very rude and will say that they see you yet they will not even try to come to you. I once got yelled at by one of them on the phone and was threatened of « being reported »!
Another bad experience was when I was going to the airport and missed my flight when the driver drove right past me, as I waved, but went further to pick up 2 random girls! Who happily had a free ride to who knows where.

I believe in all honesty viavan is the worst company , the worst with no exageration I dont recommend booking with you are in a a rush because it makes you even more late. Always cancelling and rebooking after you waited 18 mins for you driver. Always gives drivers from so far away so you have to wait very long. It is horrible i booked at 9:39 and my driver came at 10:07 .. enjoy
Absolute waste of time . Better take a bus
I see no point in taking this service as they pick and drop at the bus stops. So if I m travelling all the way to a bus stop then why can’t I take a bus instead of this terrible service specially in Espoo where the bus connectivity is pretty decent.
This is absolute waste of time . Never try it during office hours else you will have a terrible start to your day. Even the drivers are incompetent. My driver missed the nearest bus stop at his own fault and then argued with me that I gave a wrong destination. He didn’t even have proper knowledge about the drop points if not the final destination.
Overall , don’t fall into their advertising trap of 2 euros . I would rather spend 5 times of this price and take Uber .

Absolutely terrible experience with the company. Firstly, I have used them few weeks ago when coming back from Gatwick airport. Upon booking the driver called me from a landline number to arrange pick up. We have arranged where he would meet me and I went to the location. There was no one there and I have tried to call the number, however was not able to contact him. Then, what I thought was the same driver called me and said he is waiting for me at the terminal. There was a massive confusion, as, what I did not know at this point, this was a different driver. After macking aroudn for 20minutes I had to cancel and arrange another booking. Morever the line was really bad. When the driver arrived he was lovely, but ViaVan is just bad.
I then booked another ride via ViaVan at 12.30am. Even though I have indicated a pick up location, the driver called me and said I have to go somewhere else. Rather than talking to me, he just said to go there. I went there, was waiting and looking for him for 15 minutes and I could not find him. In a meantime I have received about 15 text messages. Upon scrolling down one said that the driver cancelled the ride! This was cancelled straight after our phone call! Again, I could not contact him as it is almost impossible to get though to the driver via the landline they call you through. I will not use them again, stick to Uber, where I have never had any problems with them.

That's got nothing to do with Viavan as such, she has had some bad health recently, but Viavan is really bad.
Service deteriorated, extremely unreliable
I used to like it 6 months ago, but more recently (autumn 2019) the service got seriously worse.
- at certain peak times, e.g around 8:30 you cannot get any van for as long as an hour (sorry! no drivers)
- at other times, e.g. around 9-10am I sometimes have to try to book 5-10 times before the cab actually arrives. It told me about 5 times today after offering and "confirming" rides that "the seat is gone". I book again, and after a few minutes again, "sorry! your seat is gone". Then after waiting for a few minutes this driver cancels, and a new one is 15 minutes further away.
- after letting down for about 20 minutes the app helpfully suggests to cancel ("the fee is on us"), as if it thinks I should now give up at trying to get to the place I was trying to reach.
Completely unreliable service
I've been riding with ViaVan since they started out in London, and have tried to be patient with their growing pains as they scaled up. But the service is getting worse-and-worse. And I'm deleting the app now, but wanted to explain why (in no particular order):
-drivers often late for pickups. Seems to be an issue with app routing systematically underestimating travel time. But also tied to drivers going off route.
-several aggressive/dangerous drivers
-very frequent driver changes where i am told that my booking has been accepted and that viavan is just trying to find a driver. And then after several minutes of waiting, i am very often told that my driver is no longer available and i have to wait an additional 10-15min for the next ride. If this happened 5% of the time, i'd understand. But at this frequency (greater than 50%), it feels like they are manipulating me to think that my ride is faster/more convenient.

I am skeptical about the negative reviews on this website. I think it's a competitor trying to damage the business as you will see some ridiculous reasons for disliking this business, e.g. One guy put a bad review even though he'd never used viavan because he felt he should give support to the other reviewers.

Tried to use for the first time. According to the app on the map, the driver was a few streets away. 2 minutes to be exact as I walked there and the car was nowhere to be seen. The ETA also seemed to increase by 1 minute every 20 seconds or so until my 2 minute wait became 12 minutes. Tried to call the driver 3 times and he didn't answer. Cancelled the fare and the app confirmed no payment would be taken. Payment was taken. Used the app to contact ViaVan. Sending my response simply opened up a new ViaVan page where I had to fill everything out again.
First time using this app and will be the last. Wanted to give it a chance over uber and Gett. Bad mistake. For what it's worth, my Gett taxi arrived within the 5 minute ETA, the map was accurate, and the driver actually existed!
Continuous disappointment
It is cheaper than Uber, and this is the only good thing I can say about this company. They are constantly either late, or come to early and in the latter case they will not wait untill the previously agreed pick up time, but just drive away, so I advise against using if you are in a rush. They often cancel rides and move the drivers to other customers. Don't think this is a taxi service, it's more like a not-so-efficient public transport, and for the quality they offer it's hugely overpriced.

Used ViaVan quite a lot and drivers great, but the company is useless.
Yesterday booked a car, they took the payment, then I got a text from them saying car no longer available and to book another, which I did and another fare taken. Car eventually arrives and I told the driver they’d taken the fare out twice. It took me several emails and phone calls to get them to agree to refund the extra fare. They wanted me to wait 5 days.
Today I booked a car, they confirmed, took the fare out of my bank, then text to say they had no cars available. I sent them an email at 14.55 and 3 more since. No response. I’ve reported it to my bank, but thought I’d warn you all. It’s theft.
