Sparschäler sind eine Enttäuschung

Habe zwei Sparschäler gekauft, weil mein 12 Jahre alter Victorinox Sparschäler versehentlich mit den Schalen im Müll gelandet ist. Bin entsetzt über die "Qualität" der heutigen Sparschäler von Victorinox. Beide Schäler kamen stumpf an, waren praktisch nicht benutzbar, sie versagten bei Äpfeln, Kartoffeln, Möhren, Mango. Erst nach einer Schärfung mit einer Nagelpfeile ging es so halbwegs, sind mir aber eigentlich immer noch zu stumpf und kommen an meinem alten Schäler nicht heran. Victorinox, was ist bei euch los? Ich war mal großer Fan, werde aber nichts mehr bei euch kaufen.

Online Bestellung von 4 Koffern ohne Begründung von Victorinox storniert

Online 4 Koffer bestellt und mit Kreditkarte bezahlt. Ohne Begründung wurde die Bestellung von Victorinox storniert - die telefonische Anfrage blieb erfolglos - es müsse ein Ticket gelöst werden - bei E-Mail kam die Antwort, dass es infolge Ferienabwesenheiten 7 Tage dauern kann, bis mein Anliegen geprüft wird - was für eine katastrophler Kundendienst - nach der Bewertung hat sich der Kundendienst direkt bei mir gemeldet, die Fehler korrigiert und die Koffer waren binnen einem Arbeitstag bei mir zuhause - bravo

I only have good words for everything Customer service and the repair area of Victorinox. Something extraordinary was the comunication I had with CustomerService, empathy, interest and also helping with DHL and customs, which was a problem which was solved at last. Isabelle and Frederic were great!
I brought the watch from Argentina and I am going back with a watch functioning perfectly.

Gravur Taschenmesser

Ich habe ein graviertes Taschenmesser bestellt. Leider kam bei der ersten Bestellung das Taschenmesser mit der Gravur auf der Rückseite an, obwohl ich die Vorderseite angegeben hatte. Nach kurzem Austausch per Mail, wurde mir schnell ein Rücksendeetikett zugeschickt und das richtige Taschenmesser kam zwei Tage später an. Ich bin sehr begeistert vom Kundenservice, es ging super einfach und ich bin mit dem Messer sehr zufrieden! Vielen Dank!

Excellent Bags, Disappointing Customer Service Experience

I have been a loyal Victorinox customer for many years and currently own five Victorinox bags. Until this experience, I considered the brand synonymous with quality, durability, and excellent customer support.

The issue involved two Victorinox Werks Traveler 4.0 Garment Suiter bags owned by different family members. Both bags developed the exact same problem: the rubberized material on the telescoping handle grip deteriorated over time, becoming sticky and shedding material onto users' hands and the bag itself.

When I contacted Victorinox, I was initially told that a repair solution existed using parts from a newer collection. Based on that information, I spent several weeks exchanging emails, locating bags that were actively being used for travel, gathering photographs, and providing additional information requested by customer service.

Only after completing all of those steps was I informed that my particular version of the bag used a different trolley handle system for which no repair parts exist and no repair option is available.

I can accept that a product that is more than a decade old may no longer be repairable. What I cannot accept is spending nearly three weeks pursuing a repair that Victorinox ultimately determined was never available for my specific model. Had the distinction between the repairable and non-repairable handle systems been identified at the outset, a significant amount of time and effort could have been avoided.

What disappointed me most was not the denial of the warranty claim itself. I understand that older products may have discontinued parts and that warranties have limitations. My frustration is that Victorinox appeared to have enough information early in the process to determine whether a repair was possible, yet I was led through weeks of correspondence before learning that no repair path existed.

The final recommendation was essentially to remove the remaining deteriorated grip material myself and accept a discount on a future purchase. For luggage that was purchased because of Victorinox's reputation for quality and longevity, that was a disappointing resolution.

The bags have otherwise held up well over many years of travel, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Premium brands are judged not only by their products but also by how they support customers when problems arise. Unfortunately, this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in Victorinox and will influence my future purchasing decisions.

I hope Victorinox improves both its communication and support process for long-time customers facing issues with legacy products.

We particularly regret the frustration caused by the length of the investigation and the multiple exchanges required before we could provide a definitive answer regarding your bags.

While we fully understand your disappointment, especially as a long-standing and loyal Victorinox customer, I would like to provide some additional context regarding the process.

With legacy travel gear collections such as the Werks Traveler 4.0, identifying the exact issue or concern regarding your bag is not always straightforward. Over the years, different generations, and production variants of what appears to be the same model were manufactured, often using different component suppliers and technical specifications. As a result, we must carefully verify the precise product reference and construction details before confirming whether compatible repair parts remain available.

This was the reason additional information and photographs were requested during the investigation and is standard policy for all customers across the board. During our initial review, we explored whether a repair solution used on later generations might be applicable. However, upon closer inspection, we determined that the trolley handle on your bag is functioning as designed, with the observed changes attributed to normal wear and tear on the grip over time. In addition, after a detailed evaluation, we confirmed that your bag is equipped with an earlier-generation trolley handle system. Unfortunately, replacement parts for this specific system are no longer available.

We have personally reviewed this case from Switzerland with our US Customer Service Manager. While we sincerely regret that we could not offer the repair outcome you were hoping for, I can confirm that the case was handled in accordance with our established service guidelines. In addition, goodwill gestures were proposed in recognition of your loyalty and the inconvenience experienced.

We certainly understand that this outcome is disappointing. Nevertheless, we hope you can appreciate that our teams made every effort to investigate the possibility of a repair before reaching a final conclusion.

Your comments regarding communication and the customer journey for legacy products have been noted and will be shared with the relevant teams, as feedback such as yours helps us continuously improve our processes.

Unbeatable value and service!!!

In short, giving five stars seems unfair as the service I received from the Victorinox service shop in Poland was outstanding, and exceeded my expectations by FAR.

TLDR is as follows: around 18 years ago I purchased a Victorinox suitcase with a lifetime warranty. I subsequently misplaced the purchase confirmation, warranty docs, and forgot all about the warranty. Fast forward to 2026, when I showed up to have the suitcase repaired (despite heavy use, it was still in an overall excellent condition). To my surprise, Victorinox honored the warranty, even though they could have easily reneged on it (because I had literally zero proof and recollection of it). What's more they offered to replace the suitcase for free and helped me choose from a number of great alternatives. Communication was exemplary, service friendly and professional, and the replacement arrived in no time at all (I asked for a color they didn't have in stock, which they promptly ordered for me, and which arrived in half the advised time).

So... My uncle used to quip that we are too poor to buy cheap things, and I think this story confirms that the value offered by Victorinox is second to none. Which is why I'll never buy any other brand going forward. Thank you again (also for restoring my faith in humanity ;-))!

Amazing customer support

I wanted to provide feedback regarding the customer service/support experience I had last Feb 2026.

I would rate them 5/5 A+. I had an issue with my luggage wheels and have been searching all over the internet for a replacement part but could not find one. In desperation, I used ChatGPT and the suggestion was to contact official customer service with email address provided. I sent an email expecting to be ignored and probably be just on the junk folder.

To my surprise, a couple of days later I got a response from them. After only a few email exchange regarding the exact luggage model number etc, a replacement part (luggage wheels) was sent to me via post at no cost. Up until now, I am still amazed by this experience. I will continue to be a customer of the brand.

Amazing after sales and service.

I sent my Swiss Champ XLT off for repair on 30/4/26. It was really battered with a few broken/missing parts. I've had it for decades and as it was a birthday present with sentimental value, I didn't want to replace it. I recieved it back exactlt 2 weeks later on 21/5/26 and I was shocked. If it wasn't for the fact that it's a discontinued model I would have sworn that they sent me a replacement. It is now exactly as it was when brand new and it cost me a little over £15. Very impressed and happy. Brilliant customer care and service.

Après une expérience d'utilisation de plusieurs semaines, je constate une dégradation rapide du produit ( 11 05 2026).
Produit de mauvaise qualité.
Mauvais rapport qualité/prix.
Cette pochette est inutile et chère. Victorinox devrait se contenter de fabriquer des produits en acier... c'est tout.

Victorinox luggage

I bought a large Victorinox suitcase about 12 years ago in NYC and it has traveled around the world with me since then, taking 8 to 10 international flights a year. A couple of months ago a tyre came off one of the wheels. It still worked OK but the noise was super loud and just embarrassing. With an hour to spare in Geneva last week I dropped into the Victorinox store and asked if they could help. The staff there told me to bring it in and they would see what they could do. In the end they changed all 4 wheels and didn’t charge me. I have to give Victorinox 5 out of 5 for lasting quality and for customer service. A big shout out goes to Glenn and the lovely lady who changed the wheels for me in super quick time (I am so sorry that I didn’t get your name).

Abel and Fardin ~ Excellent Staff & a Quality Products

I have three Victorinox knives, the Waiter, Rambler? and the Army version of the Outrider. Have had them since the early 90s. My son has 'inherited' the waiter and suspect his children will in future. A testament to the excellent build quality. The Outride blade had become stuck over the years would not fit properly. Took it to Oxford street & a very kind gentleman "Fardin" helped me fill in the warranty forms. The knife came back after only a few weeks. I know the blade was nicked but they replaced it with a new one. Infact even the plastic toothpick looked new. My bad writing they could not contact me via email or phone (as I was traveling) However "Abel" another fine chap responded & coordinated the return of my sentimental knife. He was very courteous and professional in his emails. Definitely will engrave & gift these penknives to friend & family when next in London.

Absolute Empfehlung

Absolute Empfehlung – Service auf einem Level, das man heute kaum noch erlebt

Ich habe meinen Koffer im Jahr 2009 gekauft und ihn seitdem beruflich genutzt. Über die Jahre hat er mehrere hundert Flüge mit mir absolviert – er war mehr als nur Gepäckstück, sondern ein treuer Begleiter rund um die Welt.

Ende 2025 sind dann altersbedingt die Rollen auseinandergebrochen. Ansonsten war der Koffer – bis auf normale Gebrauchsspuren – immer noch in einwandfreiem Zustand. Wegwerfen kam für mich nicht infrage.

Also habe ich bei Victorinox angefragt, ob es überhaupt noch möglich ist, für einen 15 Jahre alten Koffer Ersatzteile zu bekommen. Ehrlich gesagt waren meine Erwartungen nicht besonders hoch. Ich hielt die Chancen für relativ gering.

Umso größer war meine Überraschung, als ich die Antwort bekam:
Kein Problem – die Ersatzteile sind verfügbar.

Und nicht nur das: Sie wurden mir sogar kostenlos zugesendet.

Ich konnte es kaum glauben.

Ein Unternehmen, das einem Kunden ermöglicht, einen 15 Jahre alten Koffer weiterzuverwenden – und dafür nicht einmal Geld verlangt – das ist gelebte Nachhaltigkeit und echter Kundenservice. In einer Zeit, in der oft schneller ersetzt als repariert wird, ist das alles andere als selbstverständlich.

Ich bin unglaublich dankbar für diesen unfassbar guten Service und sehr froh, dass ich meinen geliebten Koffer weiter benutzen kann.

Meinen nächsten Koffer – falls dieser irgendwann doch einmal das Zeitliche segnet – werde ich definitiv wieder bei Victorinox kaufen.

Enttäuschende Qualität und inkonsistenter Kundenservice

Ich bin leider sehr enttäuscht von meiner Erfahrung mit Victorinox Travel Gear – sowohl in Bezug auf die Produktqualität als auch den Kundenservice.

Ich habe einen Victorinox Handgepäckkoffer im Rahmen eines Gewinnspiels erhalten. Der Koffer wurde lediglich zwei- bis dreimal genutzt, jeweils unter normalen Reisebedingungen (Flughafen, befestigte Wege). Bei allen vier Rollen hat sich das Aussenmaterial gelöst, sodass sich der Koffer nicht mehr fahren lässt.

Für ein Produkt dieser Qualitäts- und Preisklasse ist das aus meiner Sicht nicht akzeptabel und deutet klar auf ein Materialproblem hin – insbesondere, da ein Handgepäckkoffer weder stark belastet noch über lange Strecken genutzt wird.

Ich habe mich daraufhin an den Kundenservice gewandt und alle geforderten Informationen sowie Fotos eingereicht. Trotz Hinweis auf die sehr geringe Nutzung und die Garantiebedingungen (1+10 Jahre) wurde mein Anliegen abgelehnt und ich wurde lediglich auf den Ersatzteil-Shop verwiesen.

Was mich besonders enttäuscht: Es scheint einen Unterschied zu machen, ob man das Produkt selbst gekauft hat oder im Rahmen einer Aktion erhalten hat. Ein Kollege mit identischem Koffer hat für dasselbe Problem Ersatz erhalten und auch andere Bewertungen zeigen, dass der Umgang mit solchen Fällen unterschiedlich ausfallen kann.

Ich hätte mir hier eine faire und kundenorientierte Lösung gewünscht – unabhängig davon, wie das Produkt ursprünglich erworben wurde.

Sehr schade für eine Marke, die für Qualität und Verlässlichkeit steht.

Dickere Handgriffe bei Schälmessern

Ich kaufe seit Jahrzehnten Messer und Zubehör von Victorinox weil sie zum besten Gehören was man für einen Küchenbetrieb erwerben kann. Was aber unbedingt fehlt sind Kartoffel-Schälmesser usw. mit einem dickeren Handgriff. Vor allem für ältere Arbeitnehmer die nach längerem Gebrauch Krämpfe in den Händen bekommen.

Unbelievably brilliant customer…

Unbelievably brilliant customer service! Ive used their excellent Swiss Army Knives for years ... replacing them on occasions (left my first one beside a fire I had just laid resulting in a melted disaster, and snapped the pliers on the next being too forceful).
Didn't realise they offered repair service for very nominal charge ... have now had both of these knives repaired for more of less postage cost! Bravo Victorinox ... an example to all companies.

Had two very very old penknives one was…

Had two very very old penknives one was over 30yrs old which had a snapped end of a blade had no plastic outercase the other penknife was again a very old Venga. Neither penknives could easily be opened without the use of pliers. Took both items to the flagship store and gave them in to serviced. My main question was if it was worth financially doing so or would I be better off just buying a new replacement. On entering the store I was immediately welcomed and greeted, asking how I could be helped? On explaining my quandary I was asked to go upstairs. On doing so I was met by a young man who was very helpful and friendly by the name of “Abel”. He told me that the Victorinox penknife was able to be completely repaired as new and asked what colour handle would I like on the refurbished penknife! Unfortunately he told me that they may not be able to save the venga one due to its age and that Victorinox had only bought that company a few years ago. However he said he would submit both to be refurbished and would see what would happen. I explained whether it was worth getting both serviced or should I just buy newer ones if the charges were almost the same ? He assured me that price would be far lower and that if there were going to be any issues he would contact me first. A few weeks later Abel called to say that they would fully service and refurbish the Victorinox penknife but were unable to do the same with the venga however he had been authorised to offer me the Victorinox version of the Venga at a heavily reduced price instead. Very impressed with the way Victorinox and especially Abel dealt with me. My old penknife looked absolutely amazing. My only regret was that a month earlier I had thrown away in the recycling another damaged rusty penknife. If only I had known then what I now knew.

Victorinox recently serviced 2 pocket knives, for me, a service i had not known is available.

The quality of work, and the service provided have been simply EXCELLENT!
