I have has my Celestron Skymaster Pro 20x80 binoculars for 7 years now and had started to notice a dual image when viewing. I was considering replacing them but after speaking to First Light Optics they recommended Viking Optical. I contacted them and and being encouraged by their helpful and friendly approach (Nicola) I duly despatched my binoculars to them. They provide a very detailed analysis of the problem and a very reasonable quote for a service. They were duly returned in very impressively secured and well protected boxed. I can honestly say that I believe they are now actually as good if not better than new. I had not realised that these actually needed or indeed could be serviced and suffice to say I am extremely pleased with the result. It is good to know that we still have the skills and expertise to undertake such intricate work.
Prompt arrival but what I really liked was the packaging made of wool. I may turn it into felt. It was a lovely mix of earthy shades and had that comforting woolly small .So much better than bubble wrap.
Really good service even when I messed up the order. I still received the correct goods on time.
I ordered a replacement binocular strap, it arrived, no problems. It could do with being a fraction longer though, bit tight round my neck now.

Started to have a problem with my much used Viking ED Pro 10x42 binoculars fairly well through their 10 year guarantee. VOC arranged collection, contacted me promptly to advise me the fault would be sorted FoC, threw in some extra work for free and recommended I replaced a couple of parts that would not be covered by the guarantee They did the whole job promptly, returned my binoculars in an extremely well protected box. Very much looking forward to lots more birdwatching with them.

From first telephone contact to receiving my repaired Vistron binoculars by post less than one week later, the experience has been excellent. The binoculars are as new and I would unhesitatingly recommend this company both for their products and their service.
I recently had to return my telescope to Viking Optical to be repaired, as a small part had broken.
It was covered by the guarantee, the whole process was easy from the point that it was collected by courier until its return.I was contacted by Edward who was extremely helpful and explained that they would provide a reconditioned unit as the part wasn’t available- he later followed up to say they had sourced the part and I would get my original scope back.
Excellent service and I am very happy to have my scope useable again!
I purchased a pair of 10:42 binoculars from Viking on recommendation and they have certainly lived up to expectation. Unfortunately, due to me not threading the strap securely, I lost the rain guard for the eye pieces. I wrote to Viking to see if I could purchase a replacement and they were excellent. They kindly replaced one free of charge since it was a recent purchase. A very kind gesture.

This service worked efficiently from the beginning to the final return of the glasses. I have used this firm previously and from initial contact, inspection and estimate ,carrying out of the repair and arrangements for final return one couldn't ask for better.
I had contact with Nicola on the admin. side and the trusty Joe who actually does the hard work on the repairs. Excellent customer service from both!

I got a pair of binoculars in a "damaged" box, to be honest, there was little damage, the binos are pefect and still came with 10year warranty. A bargain, even at full price I would consider it a very good pair for the price.
