I purchased a very poor dress

I purchased a dress, which came on the expected delivery date.
It is definitely not the size stated and quality is poor!
1 star rating is being generous for this company!
Attempting to contact and no response.
How are these companies allowed to keep trading?
Update: I sent the dress back to America, paid the postage and wedtred refused the tax charge at customs, so the dress was returned to sender!!!
Ought to be ashamed of their service and spoiling peoples big events….this will be being relayed back to my bank!

I would not recommend buying from this…

I would not recommend buying from this company.

The sizing is completely inaccurate and the material and overall look of the dress do not match what is shown on the website. I paid £87 for the item plus £18.88 postage, expecting much better quality.

When I asked to return the dress, the process became very difficult. I was first offered only a £7 refund plus an £11 store coupon if I kept it, which was disappointing considering the price I paid. The only other option was to return the item to the USA at my own expense, meaning more postage costs and dealing with customs again.

Eventually they offered a £20 partial refund if I kept the dress. Because the return process was so complicated and expensive, I felt I had no real choice but to accept it.

I am now hoping the £20 refund is actually processed as promised.

Hidden costs, beware

I ordered two dresses from wedtrend.co.uk - it's NOT a UK based company, it's based in the US despite their marketing. and i want to send the two dresses back but they have a restocking fee for more than 1 item ordered of 15% for 2-3 dresses and i think 40% for more than this. BEWARE - this isn't legal in the UK ! Also, you have to pay for sending the items back. Avoid.

Painful refund process and no refund

I was struggling to find a dress for my wedding reception. I ordered two from wedtrend. One was too small and the other didn’t suit me but some of the gems had also fallen out in transit. I started the return process which was very painful with a lot of back and forth via email. They asked me to send it tracked which I did. As I am based in the UK it was very costly to send to the UK. I won’t be doing that again. I followed up after 2 weeks and then after a month and they told me they had t recieved it. I got distracted with my wedding and honeymoon and neglected to follow up again and gave up. The dresses and return cost me about 300 pounds for which none was refunded. I would not recommend buying from here.

I ordered three dresses for my bridesmaids, size 14, 12 and 24. After 4 weeks I was sent 12, 14 & 22.. when I sent then a message the day I opened the parcel was give this answer _ Thank you for your email.

We need to clarify the sizing information regarding the item you received. We confirm that the size you have is indeed correct. The size labels you see on the garment is the internal designations used by our factory.

We acknowledge that these internal size labels should have been replaced with the corresponding size labels you ordered prior to shipping. Unfortunately, this step was overlooked, which may have led to some confusion on your part. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Given that the size you received is indeed correct according to our internal sizing chart, we highly recommend that you try on the item. They should fit as expected based on the size you ordered. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us again. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we are here to help.

The excuse was a labelling issue. If I wanted to get refund ( as non of the dresses fitted ) I was given these options
We would like to provide you with 3 options:
1. Keep the product and do not return it: we will provide a refund of  £22 or a coupon code worth £27.

2. Exchange (Exchange): We will send you a coupon worth £157, which you can use to reorder the same item online in any color or size you choose. You can keep the item you received without returning it. Note: This coupon can only be used to purchase this skirt and cannot be used on other products

3. Return. After the product arrives, after inspection, if there is no problem with the product, we will refund it from the original route. Please note that the original shipping fee will not be refunded and the return shipping fee will be borne by you.

Are these 3 options suitable for you? We hope this solution is more helpful to you. Please let us know how you would like to proceed. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us.

why is they came from China was I requested to send back to the USA?? The dress came in plastic bags with no tags ( I addressed this in every email ) so for my £245 purchase I was given £66!!! The dresses are not true to size , they are not as they appear in the photo - are dresses were poorly finished , very heavy and and the sizing was terrible.

Do not order- scam!

Do not order- scam!! Poor quality, tiny and they make you pay shipping back to USA- after 3 weeks of no communication and reading reviews I cancelled order- their response was to send the dresses!!! Lost £175 and devastated.

Strongly recommend you don't buy from this company

I ordered my dress and it came on time.
On receipt it fitted but I did not like the look of it on me and the style was not as expected.
I decided to return it and that's when the fun started!
I was offered 3 choices rather than a full refund. I had to really insist.
After 2 days of emailing back and forth they sent me the return address. This was in the United States! The dress came from China.
There were lots of conditions attached to the return which would have cost me £49 to send back! The dress cost £99 and they said they would deduct the original shipping fee.
So much so I have written it off I would have ended up with £20.
I will never buy from here again.

Please please please DO NOT ORDER from this company.
First of all they said they did not receive my order despite the money being taken immediately & then they tried to say the reason they couldn’t find my order was because I didn’t give them the correct email address despite the fact that I was emailing them from said email address.

The item arrived, it was very poor quality & was not true to size so didn’t fit. I contacted the company immediately to advise that it did not fit & I wanted a refund.

They came back & tried to tell me to find a local dress alteration shop & they would give me a small amount towards this. Again I told them I wanted a refund.

They responded to this by offering me 3 choices one of which was a full refund but I had to pay the cost of the postage to return the item from the UK to America!! I have pointed out the consumer act to them & their responsibility as a company but I feel this is going to be a long process.

I have never experienced such poor service in my life & I will be reporting this company & doing whatever I need to in order to get my almost £100 returned

Please do not fall into the same trap that I did there are so many other businesses out there that provide the level of service you should experience when purchasing items, this is not one of them

This company should not be used

This company should not be used. I ordered a £109 dress for an important work event. There should have been sufficient time with their stated shipping times but the dress did not arrive for 21 days. The dress arrived after the event. I was forced to buy another dress from John Lewis. Wedtrend refused to provide a full refund. The offered me only £40. When I complained again they said I was over the time limit and refused to provide anything. When I asked for the email address of the CEO to write a formal
Letter of complaint, they refused to even provide this. I’ve never come across a company with such appalling service and disregard for their customers. I would strongly recommend not to trust them for your important event and just buy from a trusted high street retailer. I certainly would never consider using them.

This company is a total scam

This company is a total scam. The long velvet dress arrived crammed into very small plastic bag that was already split on arrival. It did not fit and was poor quality. They make return almost impossible and want you just to give up getting a refund. Original email reply offered me £9 refund on dress that cost £199 if I didn’t return it and if I did return it to USA,they would’t refund postage and I had to pay return shipping and taxes. When I complained they said they would offer me £98 refund and when I accepted this they said no, that was a mistake and they would only give me £28. To return the dress in the way they suggest via a shipping company would be very expensive and they only allow 7 days for it arrive or they won’t refund anything. DO NOT BUY from this company.

If the clothes have already been damaged, we will arrange for a replacement shipment.
Secondly, regarding the quality and size of the dress. The quality and size of our clothes are strictly produced according to the size chart and the design of the clothes. You can make a comparison. If it is our fault, we will definitely be willing to offer a refund. If you don't like this dress, we will also be willing to offer a refund. Regarding the issue of the refund amount, we generally won't be unreasonable. However, since we haven't checked your order, we don't know what happened. If I could give this company zero…

If I could give this company zero stars, I would.
The dress I ordered arrived in a completely different material, was far too large, and even had a different shoulder design than advertised. I followed their instructions and returned the dress to the address they provided in Texas, USA — only for the delivery to be refused.
It is now evident that this company has no intention of issuing a refund or honoring UK consumer rights. I have escalated the matter with my bank under the Consumer Credit Act and will next be reporting Wedtrend to the Financial Ombudsman Service for their clear breach of UK consumer law.
Avoid this company at all costs.

Unprofessional, Bizarre, Sketchy Company

This company FORGOT TWICE to issue my refund!!! I had to reach out 2 times to get my refund, over a month after I had already returned the dress. Absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional, I would not have received my refund if I had not randomly checked all my bank statements! Also, advice for the company, maybe skip the arguing with your customers step!!! I had to ask THREE TIMES for the refund instructions because you guys kept trying to offer me a sad amount of store credit and refusing to give me the return address after I had clearly stated I just need to return the dress! A bizarre and sketchy company this is, I have told everyone I know to not order from the site!!!

Absolute HORRIBLE experience!

Absolute HORRIBLE experience!! Do not order from Wedtrend. They make it nearly impossible for a return. I bought a dress tried it on and within an hour was trying to return it. No return labels no help. They were offering me ridiculous credits of $20. I have never experienced a worse company Buyer beware!!!!

Unfortunately I have to give a 1 star review as I have never received the dress I ordered! I have asked for a refund as I no longer require the product. It is far too late if in fact it ever turns up?
Having subsequently read other reviews of this company I realise that poor service and slow refunds are common. I would recommend that you don’t buy from them.

Took ages to come
Poor quality
Could not get a response to get a refund (following their specific process you have to email them within 14 days and then they accept and advise how to return). No matter what email.address I used (6 and counting) no reply...... Clearly a scam .... The dresses can not be used so I've lost of £200. Do not use!!!
