We ( my 12-year-old daughter and I) have been regulars for years. I can't recommend the welcome enough—excellent facilities, Pools are fantastic. Arcade for children. All-weather pitch for football or basketball. close to the beach, less than a 5-minute walk. Very clean and well-kept accommodation.
Any Issues immediately sorted by reception.
What makes the welcome stand out is the love poured into every little thing. Every night in the clubhouse is a night to remember. Not just bingo, not just fun and food and a decent bar, what really stands out are the shows, Amazing doesn't cover it. Mark Price and the entertainment team not only put on fantastic shows every night, but also mingle after to make it personal to everyone. You always end up staying late. Kids are entertained till late with dancing on the stage, so you can relax.

For the October half term, we decided to do a UK staycation and, hoping for the best weather possible, headed as far south as we could; Devon! After a few days of searching, we booked a stay at Welcome Family Holiday Park, and although this isn’t our usual type of holiday, we went in with an open mind.

Check-in & Accommodation:
Check-in was quick and easy. You do collect your own bedding and make up your beds, but this was clearly mentioned during booking, so no surprises there. We stayed in a Casita Lodge which was clean, spacious, and came with a lovely little welcome pack. The lodges are slightly dated in style, but everything worked perfectly. The only small negative was the compact shower cubicle, but otherwise, we were very happy.

Facilities & Activities:
The site itself is tidy and well-kept. We used the pool a couple of times, it’s on the smaller side and can get busy, and the water could have been a touch warmer, but it was still enjoyable. We played crazy golf and went on the playground, and there’s also a 5-a-side pitch/basketball court which we didnt use.
One thing to note: mobile signal is almost non-existent, and only one device can connect to the free Wi-Fi (you can pay for extras). It wasn’t a big deal for us, but worth mentioning.

Food & Location:
The on-site diner is decent, think TGI Fridays-style food: pizzas, fried chicken, chips, and milkshakes. The prices at the Diner and the bar were very reasonable, and the staff at both were all friendly and engaging. There are also plenty of shops, takeaways, and even a bakery right outside the park. Dawlish Warren beach is only a 5-minute walk away, with a small funfair and from there you can take a scenic train ride into Dawlish, which I’d highly recommend!

Entertainment (the real highlight!):
The entertainment team absolutely stole the show, genuinely some of the best we’ve experienced anywhere. They put on a great variety of performances for kids, families, and adults, and the standard was outstanding. The energy and quality of the shows really made the holiday special.

Overall:
We arrived not knowing quite what to expect, but left pleasantly surprised. The park exceeded our expectations in many ways, especially with its entertainment and family-friendly atmosphere.
If you’re a family looking for a fun, relaxed break with top-notch entertainment, Welcome Family Holiday Park is definitely worth considering. We’d happily return!

Been coming for 37 years, this place is a home away from home my parents brought me for the first time now I bring my children and we absolutely love it from amazing accommodation to amazing staff to amazing services on offer, the pools are fab the club is fantastic the entertainment is world class and the food in the club is incredible

With this being our first time staying here I have to say, this Amazing holiday park is by far the BEST I've stayed EVER!!!! All the staff are incredibly welcoming, professional and above all they made us feel comfortable from Day 1 right through till Day 14!!!!
The Entertainment was the Absolute highlight of our 2 week stay, Faultless, Professional and Extremely entertaining. Mark, Kierran, Kelly, Kelly-Anne, Jon, Sam, Jassy & Ebony are by far the best team one could ask for from a holiday park the shows were well organised, well choreographed (by the Amazing Kelly) and we enjoyed every minute of it to the point that we are booking twice next year!!!!!!!!!! I cannot stress how great these amazing people are!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We arrived on the Friday night, first time here stayed in a Lodge, very out dated and night time was freezing it states central heating far from that! The food was way over priced and we were absolutely shocked by what we received for our sons kids meal 😡 he’s autistic and has a very high appetite it was what you would give a 6 month old!!
We were also disgusted at the fact we had to make our own beds up when we got there but wanted them stripped and put in the linen bins outside on your departure day! The bathrooms were absolutely freezing 🥶 no heating in them towel rails didn’t work either!
Not much on entertainment for the kids either! Receptionist one was friendly other one was extremely rude when we wanted to report the broken toilet hinge that the cleaners failed to pick up on clearly! There is so much more I could say on this place! The whole site could do with a revamp and update everything!
Such a shame really as close walk to the beach, but sadly we won’t be returning here again!
I will strongly advise people to do the research before booking!

Arrived little early, van was ready so they let us have keys, reception staff were very polite and helpful ,van was spotlessly clean and all the amenities were very good thanks to everyone (staff)who were very helpful

Just came back from a week at the welcome with our 2 grandsons. Stayed in a casita lodge which was lovely and spacious. Entertainment team were great as always. Thoroughly enjoyed the shows. All other staff were very helpful. We have been coming since 2016. Already booked for next year.

Been coming here for a very long time, it has gone down hill over the last couple of years. The caravans are not cleaned properly like they used to be so who ever checks them don't do a good job as cutlery was dirty, hair in beds, the club house is properly the only good thing

We stayed here for 4 nights from 22 July and it wasn't long enough. We had a premier caravan which was fully equipped. Spotlessly clean just a stroll to the pool restaurant ( which was excellent) and the club house. There was a children's park a stones throw from the caravan which my youngest 2 grandchildren ages 13 and 10 really enjoyed. The children's clubs were fab. So much so that we didn't wander far from the site.
Thoroughly enjoyed so much so that we have booked another 4 night break this time in a lodge which look fabulous.
I found the staff very helpful nothing was to much trouble and the evening entertainment was fabulous. A lot of time and effort had been put into the shows and I for one really enjoyed them.

4 night stay. Couldn't fault it. Excellent clean and well equipped caravan (no 62), plenty of parking, only used the pools on site which were great. The club was good but only used once as it was a hot week - we preferred to sit on the beach until 10 at night TBH, but the club seemed busy every night. Lovely base for exploring the area, Sainsburys close by, Gluten free chip shop down the road, staff very nice and welcoming. Update May 2025 - So pleased, we have booked again for Aug 2025

I void like the plague management staff disrespectful and not helpful It’s like they don’t want to be in the job and Only care about money. Been a few times now and each time we’ve been in a caravan or bungalow are dirty not cleaned properly, Entertainment is the same each week so if you have two weeks, you won’t want to be watching it all again definitely not recommend this place to anyone

Just got back from another week at the welcome and have booked again for next year, met some lovely people, park itself is lovely and clean as usual , great friendly staff, and brilliant entertainment as usual, the only fault I have year after year is the mattresses could do with upgrading some of them are awful all you can feel is springs just no comfort , and the chairs in the club house could also do with upgrading very uncomfortable when you are sitting in them for hours on end

I have been a customer at the welcome family park for a while now and have just read a Miss Lisa Marie Barnett review.I can't understand why Kierran Boyd felt it necessary to ignore her request for some feed back I myself found Kierran to be a pleasant and approachable young man.I can certainly understand why Miss Barnett feels upset and ignored.

I stayed on the holiday park from the 16th sep - 23 sep 2022. My family and I have been regulars for over twenty years. As a writer I had to create a piece of work for my A level writing course which I based on a holiday park and the welcomes entertainment team. Whilst I was staying on the park I wanted to meet the entertainment team and show them my work as I had included them in this ( names had been changed ) I was blatantly ignored, I had contacted Kierran Boyd on fb beforehand and he didn't even have the decency to reply when God was giving out manners he was clearly still in bed. Kierran Boyd is ignorant , disrespectful and unprofessional. Before I left the park I left a copy of my work for everyone at reception and I am still being ignored all I wanted was a bit of feedback and to meet the team. My step- dad who has recently passed away had been a loyal and regular customer at the park for over thirty years. We have always loved it at the welcome in the past and have booked year after year . Not a very nice way to treat a regular customer. NOTE:
I appreciate that the entertainment team are busy and I appreciate all the hard work they do I have been coming to the welcome for 20+ years and the entertainment has always been excellent, but I did tell kierran Boyd that I would be coming a week or two beforehand on fb. Surely if he has time to read my message he has time to send a quick reply it's just blatant ignorance. I find it hurtful that a customer to come back year after year would be treated in this way.

Lovely park, great staff, but disabled friendly as stated not, when booking asked for accommodation where I could charge my motability scooter whilst in the car, was given caravan three rows back which meant phisically having to carry a double heavy battery, and suffering with major back problems made things far worse, on arrival this was mentioned but basically was told you have what you've got, and when I told them I couldn't park near the caravan was told to wait till there was a gap,and supplied a disability cone to put in place when out, they new my problems so why not put the cone out prior to arrival, obviously this didn't help in any way, and instead of being there from the 24th June to 1st July, but had to leave on the 27th because of the pain.

The accomodation was clean tidy and spotless pool very clean and tidy the water was warm the entertainment was good although the chairs need updating to more comfortable chairs the reception staff were excellent please could you give your wonderful staff air conditioning as it really was hot we are coming back in September this year

Excellent holiday camp,lovely setting, clean and tidy caravan. Everything you need,tea,coffee,hot chocolate etc,to help start your holiday. I will definitely recommend to family and friends.My wife and I spent five glorious days and four peaceful nights.

An excellent caravan holiday park located in Dawlish Warren. The caravan is always clean and the staff are more than accommodating. The best thing is the entertainment every night. Mark and the team put on an excellent show every night. Bingo every night, Fantastic swimming pools, More than one, all indoors. 5 mins from the beach and train station for easy access. Park is flat so easy for older/wheelchair users. Adaptive Homes with ramps. We have stayed a few times this year and last and have been more than happy every time. The welcomefamily is a welcome to return to every time. Accommodation to suit every pocket and size of party. In short 11 out of 10. will be booking another holiday asap. Every time we go we look to book another when we get home. The only downside is leaving such a wonderful place and people.
