Prior to the upgrade I was able to transmit by text…

Prior to the upgrade I was able to send cards via text. A prompt was given. With the upgrade I am told I can send cards via text but no icon or prompt to transmit via sms is given, so i am unable to send any card by text.

When you upgraded 123 greeting cards…

When you upgraded 123 greeting cards recently, you took away the choice of sending the cards via text messages. Only can do it now by email and I’ve had nothing but problems with that. It seems sending it via text. They get it instantly. Sending it to their email. They may not check their emails for two or three days so it’s kind of lost with sending them a birthday card or any other card on their special day.

Since had contact from 123 greetings, and if issue has been resolved they get my 5 stars again.

I have sent 3 e mails, regarding a technical issue. My 123 greetings cards are being rejected. To an e mail I have been sending too for years. This is your problem not ours. Please fix this ASAP as causing heart ❤️ ache.

You can send an eCard via text message instead of email using the Share feature on our platform. Below are the steps to help you get started.

From the Mobile Website (m.123greetings.com)
1. Open m.123greetings.com in your mobile browser.
2. Select the eCard you wish to send.
3. Just below the eCard (above the Sender Details section), you will see a row of icons. Tap the text message icon.
4. Your phone will open your default messaging app with the card link ready to send to any contact.

From the 123Greetings Mobile App
1. Open the 123Greetings app on your phone.
2. Select the eCard you wish to send.
3. Tap the Share icon located next to the Favourites icon.
4. Choose your preferred messaging app (Messages, WhatsApp, or others) and send the link to your recipient.

If you are using an iPhone or iPad and do not see the iMessage option, it may be due to your device settings. The following tutorial video can help you enable iMessage:

To be very clear:
We are a legitimate ecard service that has been operating for over 20 years. However, we recognize that sometimes technical issues (or even someone else mistyping an email address) can cause our system to send emails to the wrong person. That should never happen, and when it does, we want to fix it immediately.

Here’s how we can resolve this for you today:
Please share the email address receiving the unwanted emails – either here in a reply or privately via support@123greetings.com – and we will manually and permanently remove it from our entire database within a few hours. You will receive no further emails from us.

On unsubscribing:
In the past, some users did face difficulty with unsubscribe links. That is why we have recently launched brand new email templates that include:

A clear, one-click unsubscribe button that works instantly

Verified, safe links (no suspicious redirects)

A visible footer with our contact information

We have also strengthened our email authentication to prevent spammers from spoofing our name.

Impossible to Use

For ~ 20 years I have appreciated using 123 Greetings It has many excellent features. Unfortunately in the past year it has become UNUSABLE. I have just tried to send a Birthday card 5 times- getting a bit further each time, before another ad appears, takes over the screen and when done- I have nothing- have to bring up the website again and start over. I was almost complete on try #5- then gone. This is the worst use of ads on any web site I have ever seen. It is almost unbelievably insane. Good buy 123 Greetings. Sorry!

You're right to be frustrated. We hear you loud and clear: the ad experience on our free website has become overwhelming, and that's entirely our fault. What you described – getting almost through a card only to lose everything – is absolutely not the experience we want for anyone, especially not a loyal user like you.

Infected

I received a notification of a Christmas card from a friend via an email from 123greetings.com. I checked the email address carefully to verify it was the right domain and the friend also let me know separately that she had sent the card, so I know I clicked on a real email from 123greetings.com.

While waiting for the card to open, the browser page was redirected to virussweep.sa.com, which is a fake antivirus site full of alarming popups that try to scam you into believing you are infected and that you need to click on something or call a number to fix the PC, upon which you get the real malware download.

I closed the page and that was that (I also ran a couple of scans and all fine), but clearly this company can no longer be trusted to deliver greeting cards in a safe manner. I know for sure my in-laws would have panicked and clicked on one of the fraudulent links if this had happened to them. I will make sure to never use this site or open another email from them and have told my friend not to use them to send me greeting cards in the future.

First, I want to reassure you: 123greetings does not intentionally redirect to scam sites like virussweep.sa.com. What you encountered is almost certainly a malicious advertisement that slipped through our ad network. We do not control every individual ad, and unfortunately, bad actors sometimes manage to inject scam redirects into legitimate ad platforms. That is absolutely not okay, and we completely understand why you no longer trust us.

You did exactly the right thing – closing the page and running scans. We are very glad your computer was not harmed.

What we are doing about this:
We have reported the malicious domain to our ad partners and are tightening our ad screening. However, the only way to guarantee zero risk from ads is to remove them entirely – which is why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android).

For only $5.99 per year, the Pro app has:

No ads at all – zero popups, zero redirects, zero scam risks

A clean, safe environment to send and open ecards

Clicked on a free E card to send and before I had had the chance to say to whom to send it I got a message saying quick-tutor had done an active card check and would be taking £50pm. All without me visiting their site and now I haven't sent the E card. Looks like total scam. AVOID

Please let me be very clear: 123greetings does not charge any fees for sending free ecards. We have never taken money from users without explicit, voluntary payment (such as our Pro app upgrade). The message you saw from "quick-tutor" claiming they would take £50 per month is a fraudulent popup scam – likely generated by a malicious advertisement that hijacked the page.

You did not visit their site. You did not give them any payment details. They cannot take £50 from you because they have no access to your financial information. These scams rely on fear to trick you into calling a number or clicking a link. You are safe as long as you closed the page.

That said, you should never have seen that scam on our site. This is completely unacceptable, and we understand why you feel the site is untrustworthy. We are actively working with our ad partners to block these malicious redirects, but the only guaranteed way to avoid them entirely is to remove ads altogether.

That is why we have launched an ad-free Pro version of our mobile app (iOS and Android) for only $5.99 per year. It contains:

I am truly horrified and deeply sorry that this happened to you. What you described – clicking what should have been a greeting card and instead seeing a porn site – is absolutely unacceptable, disturbing, and not what 123greetings stands for.

Please allow me to be very direct:

This should never, ever happen. We do not create, host, or knowingly link to adult content. The most likely explanation is one of two things:

A malicious ad redirect – A bad advertisement slipped through our ad network and hijacked your browser to another site. This is a known issue with some third-party ad providers, and we are aggressively working to block these bad actors.

A spoofed email – The email may have looked like it came from 123greetings, but scammers sometimes fake our brand name to send dangerous links. If you still have the email, please check the sender's full email address – scammers often use addresses like support@123-greetings.co or similar misspellings.

What we can do for you right now:

Please forward the suspicious email to security@123greetings.com so our team can investigate and try to trace the source.

If you clicked from our legitimate site, please let us know the date and time so we can track which ad network was responsible.

How to protect yourself going forward:
