AFC Home Warranty Opiniões 

I recently encountered issues with my refrigerator and was relying on a home warranty plan from AFC Home Warranty for repairs. In hindsight, I regret not saving the money I spent on the warranty for actual repairs. They informed me that I would have to pay for the repair costs upfront and that I would only receive a significantly smaller credit toward my future monthly payments.

Additionally, the company they sent to perform the repair is equally disappointing. I paid them 50% to order the necessary parts, but it has been over a week, and they still haven't completed the job.

The honesty of the salesman and what the policy offers for the price

All customers, kindly request to be away from this AFC home warranty service, you are going to suffer when there is an issue with your appliances.

Currently I am facing an issue my dishwasher from last one month where they are not helping to resolve and also technician come and go without giving any updates and tells us that there is a part required and reschedule. After two visits again told that new part required which is of $350 and you pay your full subscription so that they will take care of the service is ridiculous. There is no proper direction for the customer what to do next after waiting a month to resolve the issue.

Please be away from this home warranty service and believe your nearest technician do the job and we are paying the money unnecessarily for this middle man.

Have had almost no experience with AFC other than a phone call. Send me this survey after I have a claim.

Brayden was very pleasant, not a pushy salesman and made the customer service experience a great one.

They answered all of my questions, addressed all of my conerns and showed me the math that proved they were the best value compared to other comapnies.

I would absolutely NOT purchase a home warranty from AFC if you want an actual replacement. I got the systems plans and my furnace went out. Due to age they gave me $100. So I paid for a 3 year policy to cover mt HVAC to get a max reimbursement of $100.... It's so crazy. Doesnt even cover labor because they are just doing a payout of the unit. So to get out of covering labor thwy "pay me out." It's a total and complete scam. I wish I would have went with old republic.

Working with this company is a joke. Don't expect to speak to someone in their office unless you're trying to buy a plan. Otherwise, you're calling and getting an answering service. This is suspect because the "answering service" has access to client files.

Payments take forever. I just got paid today from a claim in the summer. There's another claim in the system that we're being told that the company is "still within payment window" of something like 90 days.

That's bizarre and bull****.

There's a lots of other options out there - check them out before getting involved w/ them.

Quick and easy. No hoops to jump thru

They do not replace an appliance if it breaks, but prorate it based on age, so I was only offered $100 toward a replacement. So, I opted to have the dryer fixed - they found a technician, I paid up front, and I submitted my reimbursement request before the end of the month. Even after telling them I’d be canceling my contract, they said nothing and told me how to submit my reimbursement request. Then, when I received nothing, I contacted them to find out where my check was and was told that, since I canceled my contract with them, I would not be reimbursed. So they kept my money. I guess they need it.

Since we are new to AFC the only person we have been in contact with is our salesman, Jesse. I must say he was really the reason we decided to go with AFC. He kept in touch and always asked us if we had any questions and was always quick to respond to them. We’re seniors and felt that a warranty like this would save us a lot of headaches, not to mention money trying to find reasonable certified technicians in hours rather than days or weeks AND their work is guaranteed! Signing up was easy too.

Richard was very professional, and thorough in explaining the benefits signing on with AFC Home Warranty, He was respectful, and kind reassuring that the customer come first and is taken care of properly with each service request.

If I could give a negative review, I would. My wife and I had two claims, which were both denied. Our first was our shower leaked at the faucet, and our most recent was that our toliet was leaking around the base. The first plumber they sent out was here, maybe 15 minutes. Neither the warranty company nor me ever heard back from the company. The second plumber they sent out out did a great job. Yesterday the home warranty company called us, and said, they were not covering the work. We were under the impression it was covered due to them sending the second plumber out to do the work. Do not waste your money with this company!

Warranty companies are a SCAM. They'll take care of you when it's simple and low cost. Not when it counts. These thieves are no different. If you have older items in your home, they will base their approvals on depreciation of the item, even on component repairs of the item. I had a gas furnace, old for sure, needed repairs up to 2K+, they offered me $100 suggesting their depreciation model has my furnace worth $95, based on their depreciation model, as if they're doing me a favor. It makes 0 sense to use a warranty company and most reputable places dont even like working with these people. I thought AFC was different but they just do the same thing as all of these thieves, but with a smile. Dont use them trust me. I've gotten almost nothing out of it in 6 years but maybe $150 worth of help.

I turned a claim in where I was unable to get the part. Instead of replacing the stove which cannot be fixed you told me it was a home warranty, not insurance. I think you are a rip off and I am going to turn you into the Better Business Bureau.

I had a garbage disposal replaced which I had to find my contractor. Which I did then I submitted claim to be reimbursed after being fixed.the garbage disposal replaced on 12-27-2025. Been in review and now it is 1-27-2026 still under review for an approval of 150 dollars. The process is not very friendly and this a simple fix. Thinking about canceling. No one has called after claim submitted just still in review! Changed over from American home shield but this company I think may not be what the reviews claim.
