ASCO : Prima, niets op aan te merken!
In de bijna 4 weken dat we kampeerden met de Toyota Hilux hebben we geen enkel probleem gehad. De ontvangst op kantoor was hartelijk en professioneel. Prima uitleg. Auto en kampeeruitrusting 100 % in orde. Alles keurig schoon. Inleveren ging snel. We zijn heel tevreden.

Our landcruiser was not a good car
Our landcruiser was not a good car, contrary to the ASCO car we rented for our first travel in Namibia in 2001. The engine was not powerful enough for the weight of the car. In the climbs, we were ofen obliged to go into second gear...
We had no pleasure at all to drive that car.
We couldn't open the left rear window.

we are sorry to hear that you were unhappy about the performance of the Landcruiser. Yes, the Landcruiser is a very big and heavy car. On tar and gravel roads, this car often feels weak as the gears have to be changed quickly and often, especially when driving up mountains, to keep the revs high (between 2,5 and 3,5 X1000 revs) for the car to perform best.
The Landcruiser is mostly the car of choice to travelers, who do heavy off-road driving, like tours through the Damaraland and Kaokoland, where the Landcruiser feels right at home. The drivers know and value the reliability the Landcruiser offers and don’t mind that the car doesn’t have the power of the Hilux, Fortuner or Prado.
We are sad to see that you gave us a bad review just because of the wrong choice of vehicle for your trip. We genuinely hope that all the other services that ASCO offered where suitable, and that your experience with the company itself was a good one.

Von der Übernahme des Autos (Toyota Hilux mit 3000 km) mit viel Zeit, um alle Fragen zu beantworten und probeaufzubauen, über die Ausstattung (Zelt neu, Geschirr neu, der Rest super sauber und gepflegt, die Betten und Kopfkissen sauber und frisch gewaschen), über eine reibungslose Fahrt (7000 km), bis hin zur Abnahme des Wagens, alles professionell, schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Sehr kulant bei Kleinigkeiten und offen für Umplanungen. Wir haben die ALLERBESTEN ERFAHRUNGEN mit Asco gemacht.

Asco Car Hire has made our safari trip unforgettable!!
Our fully equipped 4x4 (LC) made traveling around Namibia & Botswana exciting and adventurous. We had a rooftop tent, kitchenware, fridge, self recovery tools and everything you need to survive on the road.
Pickup at the airport, vehicle explanation and papers for border crossings went very well!
We had some electrical problems with the fridge, after a phone call this was fixt free of charge at a garage in the next town!
The blackbox was not a issue, its for your own safety for not driving to fast on those (possible dangerous) gravel roads. Also they can locatie you if there are problems.
1 rule that we did not know upfront about is that we where not allowed to go to Sandwich Harbor (through the dunes) also not with a guided tour.
In overall: Big applause for Asco Car Hire for this amazing experience! It made our adventure safari trip unforgettable.
