Amazing customer service
Amazing customer service. My 32 inch Avtex TV developed a fault on its digital tuner (very rare for this to happen). Spoke with the customer service department and a collection was arranged and a few days later TV all sorted and returned. Just a brilliant company with traditional caring customer service

What fantastic customer service from Avtex. Replaced a missing remote control without hesitation or questions, I received 2 the very next day and they even included batteries. If only all customer services were as excellent as this!! Thank Avtex.
TV corrupted my Oyster V
I was unhappy with the over complexity of the current TV in my Motorhome. I spoke with the Avtex Team at the Newark Motorhome Show who shared the details of the latest model. I was impressed and made a purchase. Spent the afternoon changing the wiring loom to connect the new TV to my digital antenna and Oyster V dish. Setting up was not as easy as I expected. I scanned the QR Code thinking I could set everything up from my iPad. It seems that it’s nothing but a drive to get you to install the app it does not go through the setup, it stops after the App is running.
Once up and running it was a disaster, it did very strange things to my Oyster V making it go up and retract when you change channel. Spent time with Avtex technical support who advised it was a known issue and would need an update via a USB, they would email me the update.
My thoughts to that were NO I spoke with the company who sold it and they have agreed to accept it as a return. Spent the next 3 hours swapping back. On connecting the original the Oyster V would not work. Spent 90 minutes with Oyster to reset everything. So almost a complete day wasted.
If you have an Oyster dish, don’t near Avtex would my advice and save you the grief I have gone through.

TV warranty
Contacted Avtex with problems with my TV after speaking to an Avtex representative my TV was picked up on Monday repaired and returned by lunch time on Wednesday, I have never had so fast and prompt repair and return by any other company.
So thanks to the repair team
Don’t waste your money on avtex…
This is the second avtex tv I’ve had and both built in dvd players have packed in working, the first tv was returned for repair and lasted a few months before it packed in again so I have not bothered returning the second tv and the record feature using a usb flash drive is so complicated it’s impossible to use. Won’t waste my money on the brand again.

Yes, its expensive.
But! You get what you pay for.
We toured all brittany in france for 6 weeks.
We had full internet and tv, freeview all the time.
Not one drop in signal.
We live remote, at home, bt struggled with wifi, so we just connect to the van and have great internet were our neighbours struggle.
Its so damn good.

Terrible after sale service
Terrible after sale service . Purchased a second acted tv and Bluetooth soundbar from a third party seller only to find there was no remote for the sound bar. So the tv and sound bar are not cheap to start with so to be told to “ go back to where I bought them from “ was a disappointment to say the least. They are based in Cardiff like myself and am embarrassed to be associated with a company with such poor service / staff
Cheap, badly designed TVs for a premium price
When you buy an Avtex caravan TV what you are getting is a cheap TV with a few badly designed 'special' features that they use as justification to charge a ridiculous price premium. My TV has been rubbish from day one and I regret buying it every time I use it. For a start, they advertise it as having all of the catch up channels but it doesn't - not even the main ones like ITV. Going through the menu system to, for example, connect to WiFi is like programming a computer from the 1990s. They've added a signal meter to help you adjust your aerial which would be brilliant except it only stays on the screen for 5 seconds. When you press buttons on the remote it registers something completely different - for example it you press down then left it registers down twice. I thought it was the remote so replaced it but the new one did the same thing - the problem is in the TV. The tuner is nowhere near as sensitive as other 12v TVs I've had. I could go on and on. There is literally only one redeeming feature and that is the picture quality which is good compared to other small 12v TVs.

Had a problem with our Avtex leisure TV. This review is for the after sales service. In essence I called the support number. Informed them about the issue. Delivery company picked up the item the following day for repair or replacement. Next day after that a new or fixed TV was received. Thank you for the hassle free service

My remote for my avtex tv stopped operating my tv, I changed the batteries but no joy. Contacted Avtex company and very helpful gentleman helped me order a new one. Not expensive, came next day, unfortunately the new one still didn’t connect-operate the tv. Rang Avtex again talked to the same gentleman. Very very helpful suggested it could be a sensor, he arranged for a courier to collect it from my home next day. Received a phone call three days later all fixed and returned to me in four days.absolutely superb service. Could not recommend it more highly, to anyone's looking to buy a tv.
Avtex prove their great reputation is deserved
I have had an Avtex tv for a number of years and have been very happy with the product so had no hesitation purchasing another product. For one reason or another I ended up with the wrong product, contacted Avtex and their legendary customer services jumped into action and before you know all is sorted. Thanks for the great service.

Picture quality for this expensive TV is poor no matter what settings Iv’e tried faces always look ghostly and washed out, wish I’d got something cheaper!
power socket faulty but immediately repaired
Three pin power socket faulty. Returned to Avtex and had it back within a few days. Now works fine. They collected and returned repaired with the courier fees included for £79. Helpful staff in tech dept.
Sets are made in China and bad reports here are probably as a result of poor quality control before shipment ?
Trying to record was impossible when on…
Trying to record was impossible when on satellite, most times on aerial very hit and mostly miss. E mail help was helpful but when faults continued I was referred to phone help but not practical when watching after working hours. Tv frequently pauses sound for a fraction of a second, very annoying. Just not worth the cost difference from lower cost tv sets.

Sent my TV back as had developed 2 issues. 1st 12v dc cable stopped working - after speaking to avtex tech support they pointed out it had 12v fuse in and should be 5v - fair enough I thought. 2nd fault was stand by mode not working properly. When I spoke to avtex I enquired about exchanging/upgrading the tv, buying another tv, another soundbar and a couple of voice activated remotes and was told this is indeed possible and they would work something out for me. Rang them up today and tone had completely changed saying the screen was broken on return and they absolutely would not be doing anything re upgrade and further purchases. I pointed out it now felt I was being penalised because of courier. So the good aspects are the returns and warranty in getting faults fixed. The bad is being told they would exchange/upgrade tv with me also purchasing a few other items. I now feel ‘blanked’ and let down by how this has transpired to the extent I am now thinking that my customer loyalty has been misplaced - shame really. In summary not all bad and not all good.
